Holiday cards with "that" paper

Hello everyone. I caved and purchased "that" paper at Hobby Lobby and this is what I did with it.

Holiday greeting stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. I think the tag die is too.  Used Neenah solar white to cut out poinsettias and used the tag as a way to anchor the cluster onto the card. I did find some cardstock that matched the colors in the eucalyptus paper, and used those for the leaves and what not. B01 Copic marker in moon white used on the ribbon and matches pretty well too.

Leaf dies are from Simon Says Stamp and Carta Bella.

Merry Christmas

Hello. Playing in two challenges today. I started with the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and used a lot of the elements in the photo over at The Card Concept.

Gingham stamp is from Kaisercraft. I stamped it in black ink onto pure poppy cardstock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a sentiment die from SSS to cut out the strips. Pine branch stamp is from Great Impressions. Stamped it in jardin moss ink and then used a bit of rustic wilderness glaze to make it stand out. Sentiment and die are from Recollections.

For the Card Concept - I chose to do a clean and layered style that went with the sketch over at FMS.

It's Thanksgiving today in the states - I hope you all have a wonderful day with family and are staying safe!

Christmas Gnomes

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

This is a new stamp from me from Polkadoodles. Colored with copic's. I used silver sparkly washi tape down the sides.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Watercolor park bench

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Anything goes!

I used Tombow markers to watercolor the park bench in grays. The grass was done using only the grass from the flower border. It was easy to color just the grass and stamp it down then use a paint brush to soft it up. Stenciled on the clouds using the cloud edger from a colorful life designs and tumbled glass distress oxide ink. I hand drew the birds.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

Rustic Christmas

Hello. Playing in the CAS(e) this sketch #399 today.

Pine cone/fir stamp is a big background stamp from Simon Says Stamp, that I colored with Copic's. I used a fishtail banner to cut part of it and saved the rest of it for later. I've had the plaid designer paper in my Christmas stash forever, so I thought it would be fun to use it on this and call it "rustic" since I used a lot of rustic products.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and I used the new rustic wilderness distress oxide ink and glaze on the vellum. I stuck tiny gold pearls in the corners to hide the glue.  Rustic white cardstock from PTI is used for the base. See the rustic theme, here? LOL

Thanks for stopping in.

Snowflakes

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #462 today. Used non traditional Christmas colors for this one.

Snowflakes stamp is an old one from Great Impressions. I used color fuse ink from Rubbernecker that matched the ombre paper I used on the background. Snowflake background stamp is also from Rubbernecker and stamped using Hero Arts unicorn ink.  I spritzed it with shimmer spritz for some added sparkle that is cool in real life. Inside snowflake is from Technique Tuesday.

Life is not measured by

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

Background is done using distress oxide inks and a stencil. I believe the stencil is from Echo Park. Autumn leaves have been stunning this year and their colors can take your breath away.

Happy Holidays

Hello. Playing in the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge of Happy Holidays today.  I used a bunch of die cuts from various companies to create this.

The joyful pine branch is from Carta Bella, as is long leaf, which is called holiday branches. Small pine is from Memory Box. I cannot remember who the poinsettia die is from, I did a search and came up empty from all of the stores I usually purchase from. Which means that it's probably retired now.

I cut it out of Neenah solar white 110 lb cardstock and used distress oxide picked raspberry with a blending brush to color the centers. I also spritzed it with shimmer spritz so it's sparkly all over. Added some dew drops for interest and called it good.

Sentiment is from the tiny words Christmas set from Simon.

Thankful

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I actually used both sides of the graphic. I was inspired by the white flowers and used them with the circles in the sketch.  Heat embossed the flowers using detail white embossing powder. I used a border die to create the point on the kraft cardstock that mimics the table runner in the photo. I had fun with this one!

Hello

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I did a color wash with distress oxide and regular distress inks for the back ground.  Used a couple of frames that were cut of from a die to "frame" in the wonderful fall leaves stamp. I used tombow markers to color and spritzed with water the stamped it on water color paper.  Used black string to tie on the hello tag.

Take life one sip at a time

Hi there - day five of my entries into the Fall/Winter coffee lovers blog hop.

Festive holiday Cocoa Cup is a singleton that I picked up at my local Ben Franklin's last year. I believe it's from Stampendous. Sentiment is from MFT stamps and heat embossed in gold.

I used some stickles on the holly berries, which took me a while to get out of the bottle since I don't use them much. Mug is simply colored with Copic's.

Entering this into The Paper Player's color challenge too.

Sending you a cup of cheer!

Hi there - day four of my entries into the Fall/Winter coffee lovers blog hop.

Red wood designer paper is from the new Tim Holtz Holiday collection.  Plaid designer paper is from authentique believe paper pack.  Coffee cup die is from Paper Smooches. Added the holly to be a bit festive. I got the little die as a free gift a while back from someone.  Came in handy today. Sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Waxed paper embossing folder resist

Hello. It's my turn to share a project of the week. I'm doing a technique this week using waxed paper, an embossing folder and an iron to do a resist.

This technique is so fun! Basically, you take a piece of waxed paper and emboss it using an embossing folder, then iron it onto a piece of cardstock and ink it up. I used color fuse ink cubes from Rubbernecker direct to paper to color the background. But you could use blending brushes, blending foam or whatever you wanted to color with. I did a light and a dark version.

I inked up the solid maple leaf, then fussy cut it out to tuck it behind each of the sentiment panels on the cards. The burlap like material is actually a wide ribbon that I wrapped around the panel before taping it down.

Ok - that's it for now. Have a great day!
