Hope and joy

Hi everyone,
I liked this sketch so much that I had to do a Christmas version of it.

I found these sweet critters in my "to color" digi stamp files. I have NO idea who designed it. I searched high and low through my computer files and cannot find it.

Colored with Copic's. Designer paper is an old sheet from K&Company that I've had in my Christmas stash forever.  I did use a white gel pen to highlight the fuss on the scarf. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

I'm thinking of you today

Hello! Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge #400 today.

The big maple leaf stamp is from Papetrey, Ink. I used Hero Arts inks (mini's) to get the variation of colors on it. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I created the background with a stencil from Echo Park and distress oxide inks. Chocolate card stock from My Favorite Things used to layer everything.
Also adding this into the Anything Goes Wednesday challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

Anything goes - pretty peacock

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the ever popular Anything Goes.

Peacock is colored with Copic's. I wanted to show the embossing up close and show case the sparkle on it that I added using perfect pearls, but of course it's so hard to photograph that. I did use my Brother Scan N Cut to cut this guy out.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

Hi there

Hi there - here is a card I created for the splatter challenge over at TGIF Challenges.

Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. The leaf dies are from Carta Bella. To get the splatter, I rubbed some black soot distress ink onto my glass matt, spritzed it with water and used a paint brush.

Added the butterfly mini charm onto the tag for interest. I felt like it needed something to finish it off. Otherwise, kept this very clean and simple.

Adventure

Hello everyone. It's my turn to create the project of the week at The House That Stamps Built. Here is what I came up with.

I used the Ranger Emboss it dabber to get a layer of embossing ink onto the kraft cardstock. Then I added clear embossing powder (about three layers) and finally a layer of Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. While it was still melty, I stamped the boot prints into it to get a good impression. I left it there for maybe 15 seconds and gently pulled it out. This left me with some really cool impressions of the boots. I dabbed on a little black ink to create some dirt in the treads.  The kraft cardstock and the clear embossing kind of reminded me of sand.

Here is a close up so that you can see the impressions.

For the sentiment - I did a partial. Used the Adventure n: on the front and the rest on the inside.

This technique is an oldie, but a goodie. I had forgotten about it but saw something come up on social media regarding it and thought it would really be cool with the boot stamps from Repeat Impressions.

Left boot: 2720-G
Right boot: 2721-G
Sentiment: 5810-E

Just a note

Hello-
Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

Flower stamps are from Impress. I used Fresh ink, which is a pigment ink to stamp the flowers and leaves. The center is stamped in versafine.

I changed up the oval to a rectangle to fit my die cut sentiment.

just a note to say ...hello

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I cut this fabulous flower cover die out using Bristol paper. I wanted to be able to smoothly add Distress Oxide inks that matches the inspiration photo above. Once that was done, I added the sentiment and a "hello" die cut. Of course, to finish this off, I had to add some bling to the flower centers. =)

Fall Thanks

Hello. Playing with the Freshly Made Sketch #200 for the 400 sketch celebration this month.

I seem to be in a fall state of mind. The leaves are already starting to change in my area (due to lack of water) and I can't wait for the cooler weather.

I used distress oxide inks and a stencil from a colorful life designs called leaf set 1. I cut it apart for the line break in the sketch and added a few dew drops to finish it off. Thanks sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. Card base is a dark green from Bazzill.

Thanks for stopping by.

Masculine birthday card

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I used dimension, border and texture in my card this week. The border is done using a stencil and modeling paste to create the texture. The sentiment is popped up using foam tape for dimension. I did go over the modeling paste with distress inks after it had dried.

Many thanks

Hi there - Playing in the TGIF sketch challenge today. Here is what I came up with.

Leaf stamps are from Close To My Heart called Autumn Splendor - I'm sure they're retired by now, I've had them forever. I used Hero Arts and Altenew mini inks to mix the colors on the stamps (rock and roll technique) before stamping. Sentiment is from Altenew.

When cleaning out my dies, I came across a purple cover plate that had these gorgeous leaves on it. That is the debossing you see on the white background panel. I also found a mini thumb punch of a maple leaf and used it on different colored cardstock scraps.

Fun sketch! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you CTS#334

Hi there. Playing in the CAS(e) this sketch challenge #334 today.

The Thank you die is from Savvy stamps that I picked up at my local stamp store, which just happens to be Impress cards and crafts.  Flower stamps are from Stamplorations Dee's artsy impressions. Again, one of my all time favorite small flower sets. Fabrika Decoru used for the centers of the flowers. Fresh pigment ink from Impress used to stamp flowers and leaves. Pink polka dot paper is from PTI.

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday

Hi. I made this card earlier this week and I'm now just getting around to posting. I started off with this past Mojo Monday sketch and added my favorite flower for The Flower Challenge.

Peony stamp is from the peony bouquet set from Altenew. I used Fresh pigment ink for the layers. The background stamps if from Simon Says Stamp called pretty peonies. I stamped it in the same sugar fresh ink color as the main peony. (you might need to enlarge the photo to see) The lattice panel is a die from Jillian Vance Designs. I cut it out three times, stacked and glued it together and cut it down to size.

That's it for now - thanks for stopping in.

It's a jungle in here!

Hello. Playing in a few challenged today. Started off with the Freshly Made Sketch #400 (#1).

Stamps are from Gerda Steiner Designs and they are colored with Copic's. The sentiment is from the former Angel Company.  Palm die is from My Favorite Things. I tucked the thin burlap ribbon under that cute elephant to resemble the ground he is standing on. But my favorite is that giraffe peaking out of the corner.

I 'm also linking this up with the Double D challenge: it's a jungle out there and Simon Says Stamp; add a die cut.

Thanks for stopping by.

Tri-fold card

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is our designer choice. Esther wants us to try a new technique. I did a trifold card.

This is new for me, as I tend to shy away from fancy folds, but this one actually turned out pretty decent and was fun to do. I used vellum behind the leaf cover die.
