Have a fintastic day

Hello! Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch tonight.

I decided to stamp something other than flowers for a change.

Stamps and dies are from Lawn Fawn. I used a Tim Holtz thinlits die on the lefthand side to represent bubbles.  Then I backed it with some darker blue water-featured scrapbook paper, which you can’t see anyway. Pft.

The wave embossing folder is an old one from Provo Craft that the orca is riding on. He is cut out several times and stacked together for dimension.

Thinking of you

Hello. Playing in the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players today.

The sentiment stamp is from My Favorite Things. I did heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.  The dragonfly die is from Paper Roses and cut out of turquoise metallic cardstock from Tim Holtz. Lastly, the daisy panel is embossed toilet tissue. Yes, you read that right. It's amazing how well it is embossed. I used 4 squares and ran them through the 3D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp. I colored the centers with a yellow paint marker.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just because - SSC329

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the inspiration color prompt photo.  This one was a challenge for me as I don't have any of the plum colors in ink or cardstock/paper in my stash.

So, I made my own plum color using watercolors and decided to make this card a mixed-media one.

There are a lot of different stamps used on this one. However, the main die is from Memory Box. I also did a bit of stenciling using a stencil from TCW and Gina K Designs texture paste.

Stamps: Stampin Up! - gorgeous grunge, Darkroom door - Script and Crafters Companion sentiment. Inks: SSS orchid and Ranger distress archival in hickory smoke.  Altenew jet black liquid ink for the splatters.

Thinking of you

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

The sprig stamp is an old one from the former Angel Company. I stamped it twice to get the ghost layer. I popped the tag up with foam tape and decided to match the green ribbon on the tag with the ribbon on top of the gingham designer paper.

What a fun sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Valentine's Day - TSOT640

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch On Tuesdays.

I used the cover die from C&9 to add the stitch pattern to the card base. The Heart 3D embossing folder is used for the center circle to add some subtle texture. Heart die is from Pink and Main. Decided to add a couple of puzzle pieces to represent a couple (die form IO) and the sentiment stamp is an old one from Papertrey, Ink.  I've had the red plaid ribbon in my stash forever and really like how it finished off this card.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Thank you - SSC328

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the sketch or inspiration color prompt photo.

Today's sketch is by Melissa.  I used an old embossing folder from Stampin Up for the background. The flower stamps, dies and sentiment are all from My Favorite Things. The ink used is from Simon Says Stamp pawsitively saturated line.  I heat-embossed the sentiment on the vellum and then glued it on behind the black pearls.

A note to say hello

Hello! Welcome to another challenge over at The Flower Challenge blog. We are looking for you to add a Heart to your project, along with the required flower image.

Here is the card I created.

The tulip stamp is an old wood block stamp from Stamps by Judith. I stamped it on watercolor paper twice using Tombow markers to color it and spritzed it with water.  I've always thought the right-hand flower looked like a heart.  But just to be on the safe side, I embossed a small heart on the lower right-hand corner.  The Sentiment is from Wplus9 and the stitched dot die is from Jillian Vance Designs.

Here is the cue card for this month’s challenge.
