Congrats - SSC339

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the inspiration color prompt photo below.

The balloon background stamp is from Hero Arts. I heat embossed it in white, spritzed it with a blue mica spray (came in the HA kit) then used Tim Holtz mica sprays to water color in the colors from the inspiration photo below.

The die is also from Hero Arts. I used vellum for the shadow and plain white for the congrats!

Time to relax

Hi everyone,
I'm sharing a card I created for my chiropractor and his wife for their retirement.

The stamps are from Hero Arts and stamped in Versafine ink. I ink-blended the background with Tumbled glass distress oxide ink and latte ink from Simon Says Stamp. The clouds are done using the cloud stencil from A Color Life.  To get the shadows under the swing and palm trees, I used a detail blending brush from Waffleflower and a darker shade of brown ink. Really happy with how the shadows turned out. Used the dot stitched die from Jillian Vance designs to cut the scene out and matted it with black cardstock.

Hello. Made a few Holiday cards using this lovely die from Lawn Fawn.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and heat embossed in gold. I used light and dark green cardstock and switched up the orders to get two for one, if you will. I also added a bit of sparkle on the berries with a bit of a wink of Stella.

Winter snowflake mittens

Hi everyone. Playing in the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players today, the sketch is down below.

Do you ever have one of those days where everything is stacked against you when you think you have this fabulous idea for a card?  That was me on this one.  I was bound and determined to use this older mitten stamp and die set from Hero Arts. I was having a difficult time choosing the cardstock colors to match the designer paper from Gina K Designs. Should I go with a light or a dark-colored cardstock? I think I waffled on this three times before landing on the dark color.   I heat-embossed the stamp design using white detail embossing powder onto peacock cardstock from C&9th.

I used an old snowflake embossing folder from Provo Craft for the background.

Thanks for stopping by.

Life is better with sandy feet

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I turned the sketch sideways on this one. Wood embossing folder used with weathered wood distress ink on the backround. Grit paste used on the kraft cardstock to look like sand. Love how it turned out.

Sentiment is from Hero Arts. I used a die to cut out a medium star from white cardstock and scored it so that I could get it to stand up.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

You're one of a kind

Hello. I'm excited to announce that I have joined the Less is More design team. Here is the current challenge.

Flower stamp is from Reverse Confetti. I stamped it in Sugar pink ink from Fresh Ink, added some highlights with a Copic marker (which you can really see) then let it dry. Added the gold embossing (Hero Arts) for the dot details on the flower petals and the sentiment. Added one center gold pearl and framed it up with gold mirror cardstock.
