Get well soon

Hello. Playing in the Addicted to CAS challenge of nature today.

I picked up the skeleton leaves dies from momenta on clearance at Hobby Lobby. Cut them out using kraft cardstock and spritzed them with the new Tim Holtz Mica spays.

Get well sentiment is from Mama Elephant and I used a embossing folder from Quickkutz on the white panel in the background.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Anniversary

Hello. Playing in the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge today. It's a pretty fun sketch, and has a lot of possibilities.

Anniversary sentiment is from Avery Elle and I used a stamping platform to stamp it multiple times like the sketch calls for. I had a heart that I cut out from one of the Pink and Main stitched heart dies and put it to use on this.  The shiny red cardstock, I believe, is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology.

However, since it's an anniversary card and couples are like puzzle pieces that fit together, I added that to the heart. I cannot remember who makes my puzzle pieces cover plate die, but there are a lot of them out there to chose from.

Used the stitched rectangle frame from MFT and popped it up onto a pure poppy red card base and called it done. Super clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by.

Autumn leaves

Hello. Playing in the 500th Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

On the main panel in the background I used the leaf stencil from Echo Park Paper and embossed it onto the paper. It's kind of hard to see in the photo, but in real life, it adds a bit more dimension.

The leaf dies are from Simon Says Stamp. I blended some distress ink onto bristol paper then cut them out. I went back and added some black ink directly onto the die and ran them through my die cut machine to give the veins a bit more POP.  Sentiment is from Raisin Boat stamps (sadly no longer around).  The moss green cardstock is from Paper Pizazz.

As most of you know who follow my blog, I generally play along with Freshly Made Sketch challenges. I was even honored to be a guest designer once. So, I'm super excited for the big #500 and the companies who have generously donated prizes.  Thanks for the awesome sketches and the inspiration from all of the design team over the last decade!

Thanks,

Age certified official seal

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Anything goes.

The seal dies are from My Favorite Things and work so well with the official old fart seal. LOL. Designer paper is also from MFT. Thought it went very well with the over the hill "black" birthday card.

Sunshine birthday flowers

Hello. It's my turn to do a project of the week. I came up with a sunny happy birthday card where the sentiment stands out.

I randomly stamped a bunch of daisies onto a piece of white cardstock using pigment inks in bright yellow and canary. Once dry, I cut out the birthday sentiment and then added it back in using mini foam tape squares.  The sentiment dies are from The Ton.

Have a wonderful day!

Merry Christmas Snowflakes

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #499 today.  It's a super easy clean and simple card too!

Embossed the corners with the Stampin up sizzix snowflake embossing folder (which is retired). Stamped the sentiment in versamark and heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.  Silver cardstock is from the Tim Holtz metallic ideology collection.

I also spritzed this with shimmer spritz but it doesn't show up in the photo. In real life is glistens.

Birthday splatter

Hello. It's time once again for a new sketch over at Try Stamping On Tuesday.

I used aqua liquid watercolor from Avery Elle (not available any longer) to create the splatters. Then added some black soot to the mix.  Added on some black and clear pearls and the birthday sentiment and called it good.

Hope you join us this challenge, can't wait to see all the messy ink splattering!

Birthday wishes

Birthday sentiment is from Memory Box. The skeleton leaf is from Tim Holtz. I used one of the many backgrounds sitting in my stash to cut it out. I also spritz this with distress resist spray - to give it a shiny appearance. In real life its wonderful. Burlap paper from DCWV.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

with deepest sympathy

Hello. I've so been busy using up a plethora of cukes from my garden. I've been canning pickles and relish these last few weekends that I haven't had much time for stamping.  However, here's one that I did a whole ago that fits into this month's Flower Challenge of using a die.

The daisy and greenery are from Memory Box. Sentiment is from The Ton and I used a newsprint stamp from BoBunny.

Finished this off with adding small random dots using Nuvo crystal drops and a stylus.

Thanks for stopping in.

Just a note

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is anything BUT a card. I made a note card holder using a die from the paper studio.

I used two flat letter beads (for a friendship bracelet) and glued them onto the backs of the flowers in order to tie on the scrappers floss. This made it easy to tie this shut. I colored the floss with copic's to match the flowers.

This little pouch could be used for a gift card, money, etc.  Super fun challenge - can't wait to see what ya'll come up with. Please join us.

abstract watercolor thanks

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch this week with this abstract watercolor stamped panel.

Flower stamp is from Concord & 9th. I smooched the following distress inks: bundled sage, scattered straw and wild honey onto my craft mat and spritzed with water. Then stuck the hello lovey flower stamp into it and stamped it on watercolor paper. Moved the watercolor around, spritzed it, heat set and called it good. Then I stamped the French script from Darkroom door around the perimeter of the flowers using the same technique but with just bundle sage. Thanks sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, stamped in versafine and heat embossed in clear embossing powder.

Have a great weekend.

Get well soon!

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is to use a tag on your card.

I used a stencil from the crafter workshop to stencil on the fern, cut it out with a stitched tag die and added the RI sentiment.  Popped it up on the green cardstock using foam tape.

Sea you soon

Hello. It's Tuesday, so you know what that means....there's a new sketch up over at Try Stamping On Tuesday. The optional theme on this sketch is "ocean" so this sparked my undersea idea below.

Mermaid is from My Favorite Things. The ocean floor is from Stamping Bella. I colored all of it with Copic markers. My final card took me three tries to get the coloring to where I liked it. Almost gave up too.  I bent the sentiment fishtail banner so that it appears to be waving and adhered it with foam squares.

Also adding this into The Paper Players #552 challenge of beside the seaside.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
