Born to be Wild

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to follow this sketch.

Here is what I did with it.  The motorcycle and sentiment can be found on plate #9100 or by themselves.

Used silver metallic cardstock and silver mirror cardstock to go with the bike theme of chrome and metal. Same with the silver self adhesive pearls.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in one weekly challenge or all of them. The more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a
Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

CAS graduation card

Hi everyone.  Playing in two challenges today. Less is more recipe week is to use Shimmer. I started off using a piece of shimmer cardstock to create this clean and simple graduation card.

Cardstock and the congrats sentiment stamp are from Papertrey, Ink. I picked up these really cute graduation stickers from Doodlebug Designs at Impress Cards and Crafts.

I stamped the sentiment several times using my Nano Stampaholic to get it as dark as I could on the slippery shimmery cardstock.

Entering this into Addicted to CAS: code word Graduation

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Congrats!

Hello. Playing in the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players today.

Cherry blossom stamp is from Inspired by Stamping. Stamped in versafine, heat embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with Copic's.

Sentiment stamp is from Pretty Pink Posh. The old, old, old designer paper is from Dena's closet from Colorbok. It's a double sided 8 x 8 paper pack that I've hoarded for years.  Wish they still made it, sigh!

Project of the week - Black Magic

Hi everyone, it’s my turn to provide a project of the week over at The House That Stamps Built. I decided to go with the Black Magic technique this time around.

 Supplies needed:
·         White pigment ink
·         Heat embosser
·         Solid stamps
·         Black or dark cardstock
·         Colored pencils

Stamp your solid images in white pigment ink and heat set. Then color with colored pencils. The technique can call for outlining or adding lines and dots with a white gel pen or pencil, but I decided to keep it clean and simple.

I really like breaking out of my normal coloring rut and doing something different now and again, and this technique is a good way to make images really pop.

I heat embossed the sentiment using white detail embossing powder.

Anything goes - get well

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged with Anything goes.
I used one of the jars and only one of the flowers in the bouquet that is found on plate #9700. I just used a copic friendly black marker directly on the stamp. Long rectangle dies from Spellbinder used to frame it up and I also used the scalloped dies that match the set.  Pink and white polka dot designer paper is from lasting impressions. I cut it to 4 x 5.25 and backed it with some fun foam so that it would add some dimension to the card.  This turned out to be a bit of a girlie get well card, but I love the colors.
