Red, white and blue

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Red, White and Blue.

The red "bunting" if you will....border die is cut out of a red piece of cardstock that I had stamped and white heat embossed the music background stamp onto. I really love how it came out and how well it goes with the flag. I used mini ink cubes and a post it note to ink up the stamp. Kept this CAS because it's all about the center stamp/flag. =)  Happy 4th of July!

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Hi there

Hello everyone! Now that we've been rescued from the massive heat wave in the pacific northwest, life can get back to normal for a while! whew! 110 Degrees is way too hot!

Here's a card I did for this weeks Try Stamping on Tuesday - I really liked the sketch and paired it with some of the yummy eucalyptus paper from HL. Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and I embossed the leaves on the right cardstock using a die from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello - lots of texture

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I was inspired by the texture of the hat and the book, so I used those as a jumping off point with the sketch. Sentiment is from MFT, the newsprint stamp is from PTI and the burlap is from DCWV.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Scenery challenge - Mountain lake

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is to build a scene.

Not one of my best cards, but it was fun never the less. Stencils are from Honey Bee called winter wonder. I stamped, colored with copic's and fussy cut out the fish. Popped them up on the ripples in the water using small foam squares.

Thank you - red poppies

Hello. It's time for another sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesday.

Poppies are colored with Copics. I've had this colored up in my stash for a while and cut it down to use with this sketch. I chose to keep it CAS for this one.  Honey bee frame die used on black cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by.

...whatever

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is a black and white challenge. Ya, I know, I did that last week....Here's another one tho.

This ended up being a 4 x 4 card. Kept it super Clean and simple, too.

Just a note - ink lifting

Hello. It's my turn to do a Pick of the Week project and I'm revisiting one I did a while ago on alcohol ink lifting. I had saved one of the backgrounds that I created previously and put it to use for this weeks card.

You never know when one of the background you create when your having fun will end up working on a new project.  I added some Nuvou black drops for the centers of the flowers. The small butterfly die from Memory Box worked well for the center of the flower vine.  Just a note stamped and heat embossed with inks that match the alcohol inks. Finally, I spritzed this with some sparkle shimmer spritz. I can't believe it actually shows up in the photos.

That's it for now. Join us on Wednesday for our Black and White challenge.
Thanks,

Me time!

Hello. Playing in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of creating a scene. Here is one I created a a while back ago that I call "me time."

Stamps are from My Favorite Things. Masked off a few images and colored with Copic's.  Here's hoping we all have those "me time" places or times where you get to rest and recharge your batteries.

Have a great weekend.

Sea you soon

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I followed the sketch and incorporated some sea shells for the circles for a good Fusion card.  Deckled edge dies used on the layers to resemble waves. Stamps are from Hero Arts.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Sending you birthday wishes

Hello. Playing in The Flower Challenge of Clean and Simple today.

I inlaid the leaf cut outs and the centers of the daisies. Stamped a birthday sentiment and called it good. The border is stacked three times. I'm sorry, I forget who makes this die, I searched all my usual makers and came up empty. If you know, leave a comment. Thanks.

Anyway, love how this turned out. Have a fabulous day.

Just a note

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is to make a card with a fancy fold. I haven't done a criss cross card in a while, so I created this black and white one for this challenge.

Hap Bee Birthday

Hello. Playing in the Double D challenge of Bee inspired today.

Dies, stamps and shaker bits are all from Queen and Company. Diagonal stripe background stamp is from The Stamp Market.

I used a stitched rectangle dies from MFT to cut out the panels to match the stitching on the bee. Isn't he super cute?

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Wedding day

Hello everyone. There is a new challenge up over at Try Stamping on Tuesday.  You can use the sketch or do white on white. Which is what I did with this.

Used the Tim Holtz rose die and framed it with a stitched cut out frame for this wedding card.  Sentiment is an old one from Papertrey, Ink that I heat embossed in gold.

Masculine birthday

Hi everyone! Playing in the masculine challenge over at Simon Says Stamps and they are featuring Tim Holtz products - well it so happens that I had one already done! Bonus!

I bought this set at Joann's. I even used a TH stencil in the background on this. Did a bit of recycling on the corrugated cardboard piece that I saved from a piece of packaging. Destressed it a bit by tearing it and adding some distress ink.

The deckled rectangle was done using a border die, then inked it up with espresso and black soot ink around the edges to appear like it had been burnt. Love this technique.  Birthday sentiment is from PTI and heat embossed with platinum embossing powder.

Masculine - just because

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is For the Boys

I water colored this using TomBow markers. Took me three tries to get it right. Almost gave up on the darn thing.
