Hi

Hi - playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #441 today.

Back ground on the side panel was created using the new speckled egg oxide ink and antique linen. I stamped the butterfly in Versafine, heat embossed in clear. Then I used the new speckled egg embossing glaze with a veramark marker to color it.

Butterfly and sentiment are from the new Simon Says Stamp set beautiful butterflies. The doily die behind the butterfly is an oldie from Papertrey, Ink. Vintage cream cardstock used except on the right panel, which is on watercolor cardstock.

Also adding this into the Anything Goes challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by.

I was inspired by the sketch and the colors in the photo. Also I just had to use gingham! Cheery Lynn designs is the maker of the flower die used here. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink!

Cracked glass

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the ever popular Anything Goes!

Can you say old and fun cracked glass technique?  I think I ended up putting 4 layers of UTEE on this to get it to crack like that. I buffed some distress vintage photo over it to give an aged appearance. Love how it came out.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Happy Birthday!

Hello. Playing in the CAS(e) this sketch challenge #377 today.

The gerbera daisy stamp is from Flourishes that I've had in my stash forever. It's one of my favorites and I'll never part with it. I stamped it in Versafine ink to get all the detail and then heat embossed it so that I could color with Copic's.

Stitched label/tag die is from Technique Tuesday and the birthday sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Thanks for stopping in.

Thanks

Hello. Playing in The Paper Players clean and simple challenge of "thanks" today.

This is VERY  clean and simple. Cut the thanks die out of vintage cream cardstock from PTI. Saved the bits on the H, the K and the S to glue them back in.

I used this beautiful washi tape behind it. I just took another piece of cardstock and taped three layers across to fit behind the main card where I used the die.

I used the pierced die from Gina Marie Designs to add the piercing around the edge for some added interest.  I was going to add some gems or bling to this, but decided that it was fine as it is.

Thanks for stopping by.

Classic

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

It's a month for masculine cards for me in June when it comes to Repeat Impressions and THTSB. Go figure. This one will fit the bill for a Father's Day card (even though mine is in Heaven's unearthly estate).

Chalk it up!

Hello! It's my turn to create a project of the week over at The House That Stamps Built. I'm going old school for this one and I dug out my Chalks! Yes, had to dust them off! What fun, though!

I used Versamark ink to stamp the solid flowers randomly down a sheet of cardstock. Then I took the little pom pom that came with the set of chalks to color on the yellow. I used a pouncing method to daub on the color so that I didn't smear the ink.  I decided to cut the border with a stitched scalloped die and layered it in black.  Added some black Nuvo drops to the centers to complete them. Yellow and black is such a striking color combo, that I decided to go with it on the body of the card by adding a layer of yellow gingham designer paper. Added the sentiment and it's ready for the mail.

Always in our thoughts

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #439 today. Decided to try my hand at a slim line card. Boy these buggers are hard to photograph!

I used rustic cream cardstock from PTI and the slim line dies from Pink Fresh Studio. The leaf stamp is from A*Muse Studio and the sentiment is from Avery Elle.  To fill up some of the space, I stamped the leaf in versamark and heat embossed it in clear embossing powder. The green ink is Clover from Rubbernecker.

Thanks for stopping by.

Follow your dreams

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

Stuck with a tag shape for this weeks Tic-Tac-Toe challenge - non standard shape, masculine and stitching. The huge tag die is from Mama Elephant. I was still playing around with distress crayons. The black stripes are done with a stencil and black soot distress ink.

I used the script background stamp in vintage photo archival ink, the compass and sentiment are stamped in jet black archival ink.

Wishing you all kinds of happy.

Hello. Playing in a few challenge today with the lovely navy creation. The flower challenge #45 is to use navy + one other color.

Stamps are from The Ton, that I got yesterday. Wonderful set called wishful wildflowers. Stamped them in Versafine, heat embossed with clear embossing powder then colored with Copic's. I did use a white prisma colored pencil to add further highlights to the centers of the flowers. Then added some self adhesive navy shtickems - to finish it off with more interest/bling.

I'm adding this into the NBUS challenge, as this stamp set is new to me.

Hope you all are taking care and being safe. Thanks for stopping by.

Just a note

Hello - playing in a couple of challenges today. I started with the sketch over at Sunday Stamps and added two different patterned papers for the challenge over at Just Us Girls.

Leaf stamps are from My Favorite Things. Designer paper is from Memory Box.  The just a note sentiment is from Penny Black.

Have a wonderful day. Keep staying positive in these trying times!
