Happy Halloween

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays.  The optional theme is "plaid" this time around.

The happy Halloween sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. I used Simon says stamp pawsitively saturated ink to create the holiday-inspired plaid. The bat die is from DCWV.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Blue, pink, and white color challenge

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Less Is More. This go around it's a color challenge.

The birthday sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. I used Guava and Marine blue pawsitively saturated inks with a mini stencil from Melissa Francis to create a soft look on the flowers. Each of the centers has a self-adhesive pearl stuck in them for a bit of dimension and interest.

Here is the cue card.

We wish you a Merry Christmas

Hi everyone. I'm back with a final project using the soon-to-be-released Season's Tweetings stamp set over at Gerda Steiner Designs. This is done using the box die from Lawn Fawn.

All of the birds, presents and trees are colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out, and then glued onto the slats within the collapsable box. I thought the present designer paper worked well with this set to decorate the outside of the box.

This set is so cute and has so many options!

Thanks and have a creative day!

Light it up!

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

This is an old retired set from the flourishes company designed by Marcella Hawley. I colored the Chinese lanterns using Copic markers.

I was looking in my birthday sets for a banner to go with the sketch and came across this oldie but goodie.

Love how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone! I'm back with another card for the Season's Tweetings stamp set that is soon to be released over at Gerda Steiner Designs.

The bird is colored with Copic's.  I added some Tulip puffy dimensional fabric paint to his hat. If you heat it with your heat gun it really puffs up! So much fun to use.

The holiday tag was made with paper I've had in my stash for a while now. I only used a portion of the Merry Christmas stamp on this and creatively cut out part of the sentiment with a die. Since this bird was by himself, the "we wish you a" just didn't work.

I have one more project I made with this stamp set coming up next Friday. See you then.

Trick or treat mummy

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays.  The optional theme this time is "spooky."

The mummy stamp is from Raisin Boat (no longer in business). I also did a bit of stenciling with the bats (Echo park) and used some of that wonderful black opaque texture paste from Tim Holtz and Ranger.  I used a bit of white seam binding to match the mummy.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Thinking of you

Hello. Playing in a couple of challenges today with the following fall card.

I started off using the sketch over at Sunday Stamps. The background stamp is from Simon Says Stamp. I heat embossed it with white detail embossing powder onto watercolor paper. Then I used Tombow markers in fall colors to watercolor it. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Happy Anniversary

Hello. Playing in the TGIF sketch challenge today.

The gorgeous script designer paper is from Unity stamps. The anniversary sentiment is from Avery Elle. I think the embossing folder is from Simon Says Stamp (I wish they would put their names on the folders) and the sprig die is from Memory Box.

The photo makes the main panel look lighter than the card base, but it's the same cardstock. How strange. I also added some fabrika decoru drops to the ends of the sprigs to match (they are like Nuvo drops).

Happy 7th Birthday reminder

Hello everyone. Here is your mid-month reminder about the current challenge going on over at The Flower Challenge blog.  We continue to celebrate our 7th Birthday, but sadly we are saying good-bye to two of our talented design team members. Viv and Aileen are leaving us, and we wish them well.

Here is another card that I created for the current challenge.

Stamps, stencils, and dies are from Pink Fresh Studio. The stitched background die is from Concord & 9th. I used SSS pawsitively saturated inks on this.

Hello Sunshine - one-layer card

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Less Is More. It's a one-layer card challenge this time around.

I used a rectangle stencil from Trinity stamps and squeezed lemonade oxide ink to create the yellow layer on this OLC. I did mask off the onesie prior to ink blending.  The stamps are from a Simon Says Stamp set that is now retired.

Here is the cue card.

Season's Tweetings

Hi everyone! It's Laurie and I'm back with a new soon-to-be-released stamp set called Sweaon's Tweetings.

This is such a cute bird set for the Holidays or winter cards. I stamped each of the birds and the tree in the sections created by the postage stamp die. Each of them is colored using Copic Markers.

I added a bit of texture to the owl using rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to remove some of the color. I also added some glossy accents to the yellow bird's glasses. In real life, it shines!

Stay tuned as I will have another card using this set next Friday.

Just a note

Hello! Playing in the Sunday Stamps weekly challenge today. The photo inspiration board is below.

The leaf dies are from Lawn Fawn. I colored them using perfect pearls. I gotta tell you those jars were a bit dusty, so it was a good thing to dig them out, clean them up, and put them to use. The sentiment is from The Ton and the crosshatch die is from MFT stamps.

Hey!

Hello! I'm back on the Gerda Steiner blog with a creative take on a new stamp set that will be released soon. It's called Skyline. I used the road as wood in the background to create this birthday card.

The moose stamp and the sentiments are from the Moose Love set.  I colored him with Copic markers and cut him out so that he could peek out of the background. The "hey" die cuts are stuck on a little wonky to create some fun interest on this card.

This would be a fun card to give to anyone who loves the outdoors or as a masculine birthday card.

Have a great day!

Sports!

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays. Optional theme is "sports" this time around.

I went with the large digital cheerleading sayings to replace the rectangles on the sketch. Which is really out of the box for me. The digi stamp is by Sassy Cheryl and colored with Copic's. I fussy cut it out too.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.
