Masculine birthday card

Hi there. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week it's Anything Goes.

I stamped the dragonflies in versafine clair ink and then heat embossed them with black embossing powder. Next, I used Distress ink in Antique Linen and a stencil to lightly add the squares in a diamond pattern in the background. Then to finish it off, splattered some ink over it for added interest.

Rose gold metallic paper used to layer it onto a black card base.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in any of our challenges, the more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

You're one of a kind

Hello. Playing in a couple of challenges today.

Sketch is for this week's Freshly Made Sketch. I also followed the photo inspiration from Just us Girls on the colors.

Butter bar ink from Hero Arts used on the leaf background stamp. Cut out a few leaves and distressed them with inks. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping in.

TTT challenge

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following Tic-Tac-Toe board to create your card.

Ok - I followed two rows on the TTT board. I started off with using dimension, vellum and a sympathy sentiment. The realized I also inadvertently used dies with piercing and added some gems to the card. So, a two for one!

I stamped the leaves onto a piece of vellum and heat embossed it. The turned it over and added some distress oxide inks to it. Used some stick it adhesive to add it to a white cardstock panel and then popped it up using fun foam onto a white card base.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Twofer leaves

Hello. Playing in the Twofer card challenge today using leaves.

Stamps are from Bo Bunny. I stamped them in Vesafine Clair ink and heat embossed them so that I could color with Copic's. Sentiments are from Papertrey, Ink.

Fall is arriving this week in the Pacific Northwest. The leaves are starting to turn and the rain is finally back. There is a crispness in the air and the wind is stirring things up. Fall is my favorite season because Mother Nature shows off pretty spectacularly in the colors that we see.

Have a great day.

Holiday Blessings

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge today. The background I created was CASed from a video that Memory box did for their new Holiday release.

It's done using Yupo paper, alcohol inks and plastic wrap.  Fun technique.

I combined two of the new holiday Memory Box dies to create this. The outside is from the holiday lamp post frame die and the inner circle is from the pinpoint snowflake circle frame die. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Anniversary

Hello.
It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week its a designer choice challenge and it's my pick. I want to see some anniversary cards.  My husband and I are celebrating 32 years tomorrow. I have no idea where the time went.

I ended up making to cards because I didn't particularly like the first one. It's a little cutesy for my taste. So I ended up making this one too.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Distressed gears and a video

Hi everyone. Trying something new here based upon a blog readers request.  A video that shows you how to create the distressed gears. Below is the one I did a few years ago.

This is a new one I created without a sentiment specifically for this video.

And here is my very first Video! Yikes! Let me know if you like it.

Thanks for checking it out and stopping in.

Masculine congrats

Hello. Playing in the CAS colours and sketch challenge today.

Ferns are done with a stencil and Distress Oxide and regular inks. The congrats is cut out three times and stacked for dimension. Clear rhinestones added for interest.

Kept it very CAS so it could be given to a guy.

Thanks for stopping in.
