Wishing you a beautiful day

Hello. I'm playing in a few challenges today with this card.

The bicycle dies are from Brass and Bliss. The cloud stencil is from A colorful life designs and the trees, bushes and hill stencil is from Simon Says Stamp.  I also used their inks to blend through the stencils.

I sent this off to a Co-workers wife who is a SU demonstrator, as a thank you. She recently made up a bunch of card kits that were handed out to us during our last meeting.  Such a sweet gesture and much appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by.

With Sympathy - SSC361

Hello. I'm the hostess for the sketch challenge this time around over at Sunday Stamps. Here is the card that I created first, which inspired the sketch.

The leaf is ink-blended through a stencil using Simon Says Stamps ink.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. I kept this clean and simple as sympathy cards sort of need to be that way, in my opinion.    Below is the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your inspired by the sketch.

Happy Easter TSOT#668

Hello and welcome to another sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

The bunny is a stencil I picked up from A colorful life stencils (I think).  The sentiment is an old one from the former Angel Company.  I added some cute clay pastel swirl mix from Pretty Pink Posh to mimic Easter Candy.

Here is the sketch and you can link up here.

Hello

Hello. I'm playing in a few challenges with this family of bears today.

I stamped, colored and cut out the bears from My Favorite Things to create this scene.  I paper-pieced their scarves using plaid designer paper from Say it with stamps/photoplay's Holiday plaid 6x6 paper pad. The tree stamp is from Gina K Designs. I used distress oxide ink in tumbled glass and stenciled on the clouds in the background.

Finally added a bit of twine and a tag to say Hello. The hello sentiment is from Altenew and the tag die is an old one from Papertrey, Ink. I used foam squares to bring the bears up from the background.  The stitched frame is cut three times and glued together as well.

Thanks for stopping in. I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Time to relax

Hi everyone,
I'm sharing a card I created for my chiropractor and his wife for their retirement.

The stamps are from Hero Arts and stamped in Versafine ink. I ink-blended the background with Tumbled glass distress oxide ink and latte ink from Simon Says Stamp. The clouds are done using the cloud stencil from A Color Life.  To get the shadows under the swing and palm trees, I used a detail blending brush from Waffleflower and a darker shade of brown ink. Really happy with how the shadows turned out. Used the dot stitched die from Jillian Vance designs to cut the scene out and matted it with black cardstock.

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

Stamps is from My Favorite Things and colored with Copic's. I dug out my airbrush and used it with the cloud stencil from a colorful life designs to do the sky.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Just because

Hi there. I just got this new stencil from A colorful life and had to play with it.

Ok, I said I was playing around, so I didn't use a good quality paper here - so the oxide blending is a bit chunky. But, once I cut it out and added some black paint splatters, it looked pretty good. I also spritzed on some sparkle shimmer spray that doesn't come up in the photo.

Sentiment is heat embossed using versafine black ink. It's from Honey Bee. The card base is navy from PTI and I used a piece of A2 sized foam tape from Scrapbook.com to adhere the butterfly panel to it.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Watercolor park bench

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Anything goes!

I used Tombow markers to watercolor the park bench in grays. The grass was done using only the grass from the flower border. It was easy to color just the grass and stamp it down then use a paint brush to soft it up. Stenciled on the clouds using the cloud edger from a colorful life designs and tumbled glass distress oxide ink. I hand drew the birds.

Fall Thanks

Hello. Playing with the Freshly Made Sketch #200 for the 400 sketch celebration this month.

I seem to be in a fall state of mind. The leaves are already starting to change in my area (due to lack of water) and I can't wait for the cooler weather.

I used distress oxide inks and a stencil from a colorful life designs called leaf set 1. I cut it apart for the line break in the sketch and added a few dew drops to finish it off. Thanks sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. Card base is a dark green from Bazzill.

Thanks for stopping by.

Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello - Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch this week. I kind of waited till the last minute, but I'm very happy with what I ended up with.

The leaf is a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and I used Fresh Ink (which is a pigment ink) in Limeade and Basil and a finger dauber to create the corners.

Sympathy sentiment is from Honey Bee and is stamped in Versafine Clair ink and then heat embossed in clear. I chose to heat emboss so that I could wipe away the ink left after stenciling.  Added three dew drops to add some interest, but kept it as CAS as I could.

ETA: Entering this into the CAS Stencil Challenge as well.
