A little note

Hello. Here is a last-minute entry into this week's Freshly Made Sketch challenge

The mum flower die is from Honey Bee stamps. I cut it out using a creamy cardstock then blended ink from Pink Fresh (passion fruit, berrylicious, and candy apple) onto the individual petals and green ink for the leaf. The sentiment is an old $1 stamp from Studio G.

It's been warm and rainy here and this flower helped to brighten my day.  Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking of you SSC327

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the inspiration color prompt photo below. The

The butterfly is an old one from Stampin Up! I stamped it twice, fussy cut one out and colored with watercolors to match the red and orange in the photo below.  I stamped another onto the card base and then popped up the colored one using a foam strip. The leaf panel is done with a stencil. I used the thinking of you sentiment from Recollections to finish off the card.

Happy Birthday

Hello. I decided to use the Cheers & Beers guy on the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

The stamp is from Unity and the birthday sentiment is from Poppy Stamps. I did cut him down to fit into the square that is called for in the sketch. He's colored with Copics. I used a bit of puffy paint, heated with the heat tool to give it a foamy look on the mug of brew.

The green plaid paper is from my stash and the stitched dot die is from Jillian Vance Designs.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday TSOT #639

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch On Tuesdays.

The flower panel has been in my stash for a while now and I cannot find the stamp to give credit to the maker. My apologies. I do know that I used Copic's to color it. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Just a note

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #618 challenge on this very cold January day.

The leaf sprig die is from Gummianpan, and I highlighted the leaves a little bit with a G24 Copic Marker. I used microdots to adhere it to the linen card base. The "just a note" die was cut three times, stacked, and glued onto a velum outline.

The little dragonfly is from Impression Obsession. I added three tiny fairy drops from Memory Box to balance the card out.

Stay warm and safe out there! Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday SSC326

Hello. I've got a happy announcement!

I'm so honored and excited to be asked to join the design team over at Sunday Stamps.  So, here is the first sketch challenge of the new year and what I did with it.

I've had this balloon image in my stash for a bit (I cannot find the die or remember who made it) and put it to use on the following sketch.

The confetti stencil is from Waffle flower and I used Simon Says Stamp pawsitively saturated ink to color it.  The balloons are colored with Copic markers.  The birthday sentiment stamp is from MFT.

Here is the sketch.

Thinking of you.

Hi there! Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #617 today.

The flower stamp is from Simon Says Stamp. I used a sheet of cork paper and versafine to stamp them out. Then I colored them with watercolor paints.  The die that I used the cut the rounded squares out is also from Simon.  The "thinking of you" sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.  The pin dot die is from Gina Marie Designs.

Thanks for stopping in.

Happy Birthday TSOT #638

Hello.  Welcome to the newly renamed Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge. We are using the same acronym and we will be playing the first and third Tuesday of every month. Our sister challenge site is Double Trouble and we are partnering with them on this first challenge of the year.

Double Trouble is recognizing World Introvert Day using the TSOT Sketch #638.  The BACKGROUND of the sketch will be affected by this humorous occasion.  Whether you are introverted or extroverted, the requirement is to create a project to show us your personality through one of the two fun background choices.

Introvert:   calm, soft, pastel
Extrovert:  bold, loud, bright

As you can tell, I'm an Introvert!

The die is from Altenew and I used Simon says stamp pawsitively saturated inks to color the flower and leaves.  The birthday sentiment is from Jaded Blossom. I used a linen 3D embossing folder for the background, but I have no idea where it came from. I wish that companies would mark them with their logo so that they would get credit!
