Hi!

Here is my take on the challenge over at Less is More. The challenge is shadows.

I got out an old favorite stamp of sprigs from The Angel Company and stamped it in Mojito Fresh Ink twice. Layered it in gum drop green and then tied on a gingham bow to match the designer paper, which is from A*Muse.

Sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh, love how it stands out on the designer paper. Kept this pretty clean and simple and love how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by!

Up the happy!

Hi everyone. This is my last guest post for Just Us Girls. It's been super fun and I want to thank the team for voting for me! Here is this week's challenge.

I used the new (to me) set from Ellen's Essentials (designed by Julie E) Up the Happy to create this card. Those balloons just wanted to be paper pierced using some fun designer paper.

The designer paper is from Wild Rose Studio called Dancing Daisies. It's a little 6 x 6 pack of paper that has some of the cutest papers in it.

I have to admit, the reason I bought this set was because of this sentiment. I will use this for encouragement, birthdays, and so on.....

Again, thanks to the DT over at Just Us Girls! It's been an honor and a pleasure to participate as a guest designer.

Thanks for dropping by. Hope to see you soon!

Note to say hello

Hi everyone. Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

I used some stick it! double sided tape to cut out the solid butterfly, then added the black detail layer. Dies are from Memory Box. Glitter came next in yellow and orange. I've had these little jars of glitter in my drawer for so long that I have no idea who even makes them. Obviously, I don't use glitter often enough.

I cut out a circle and taped it on top of the butterfly so that I could sponge some summer sky blue ink from Memento around it.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Adding this into the anything goes challenge over at Simon Says Stamp too.

Anything goes challenge

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we are doing an "Anything goes" challenge.

Played around with the Peacock distress inks and blended it out. I used a strip of post it note tape to get the clean line down the side. Then added some water drops using a paint brush.

I stamped the butterflies, colored them, added some sparkle, then popped them up onto the one's that I had stamped already using foam tape.  Added a bit of 3D dimension to this CAS birthday card.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in one weekly challenge or all of them. The more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a
Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Polka dot flowers

Hey there. Playing in a few challenges today.TGIF wants some polka dots and Simon Says Stamp is all about Showers and/or flowers. I combined the flowers and polka dots for this birthday card.

I used an old flower stamp from the former Angel Company to create this. First of all, I stamped small polka dots (stamp from PTI) using Hero Arts Unicorn White ink. Heat set, then stamped the flowers using Red Royal dye ink from Hero Arts. The white polka dots showed through beautifully. Added some leaves to fill in the gaps.

Sentiment is from Avery Elle.

I used dark green cardstock for my card base to make the red pop even more.

I tried using the kissing technique on this first, but it just didn't give me the results I wanted. So this really came about by trial and error.

Photo challenge #390 Just Us Girls

Hello. It's photo week over at Just Us Girls. This photo has so many possibilities!!

I decided to go with some texture that I picked up from the photo.

Liked the rug design
The tweed couch was pretty cool
Liked the vase - it has texture
Flowers  - add a bit of color

I tried so many times to add some color to the embossing folder by adding ink directly to it once I ran it through my die cutting machine. Inked it up before and after and didn't like any of the results, so I went with adding a bit of yellow (found in the rug) as a back ground layer.

Used Iced Spruce Oxide ink on the linen back ground stamp from Stampin Up! and layered it with black.

Flower stamp is from Purple Onion. I stamped it in colors matching the photo and heat embossed them in clear. Added them onto the top of the vase using foam tape.

That vase came from Papertrey, Ink and I fussy cut it out, ran it through an embossing folder and popped it up on the card.

Ok, that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Always be yourself (unless....)

Hey there. Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

Stamps are from Stamping Bella. I inked them up with Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, so that I could color them with Copic's.

Added some spectrum glitter in clear to the horns. For the wings I used a bit of silver to coordinate with the glitter paper.

Unicorns were cut out using my Brother Scan N Cut, then popped up off of the card using foam tape.

Photo Inspiration

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following photo as our inspiration.

I really like the mint, turquoise and lime green colors in the picture and went with that. Ranger distress inks were used with a blending tool. I heat embossed the flower vine in white embossing powder and blended right over it.  Added the sentiment on the slant and called it good.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
