Canvas projects

Hi everyone! I wanted to show you two projects that I've completed using canvas. First up is a simple card.

Stamps are from Simon Says Stamp. The canvas is an Artist Trading Card piece of canvas from Canvas Corp. I used Fresh Ink from Impress Rubber Stamps in Pink lemonade and Limeade to stamp the flower. Versafine black in used to stamp the center of the flower, dragonfly and sentiment.

Designer paper is from DCWV. Green cardstock is from Bazzill and that gorgeous green satin ribbon is from Ribbons and Bows Oh My.

Next up is a different type of canvas, but one that turned out pretty cool!

The canvas is sticky backed and comes from Claudine Hellmuth (Ranger) and is in a set of 5 12x12 sheets. It's kind of a soft ivory color, not as white as it looks in this photo. I took one and trimmed it down to 8 1/2 x 11 and then I created the established sign using Photoshop Elements 9.0, then just ran it through the printer.

The swirls at the bottom were hand stamped using the Fancy Flourishes stamp set from Papertrey, Ink.

I spray painted an old wooden frame black and inserted the canvas and TADA! Love how it came out!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!

Enjoy the Holidays

Happy Holidays! Here is one more Christmas card I put together for the #200 Sweet Sunday sketch challenge.

This is a digi from Tiddly Inks and colored with Copic's. The sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. Instead of an oval, I changed up the shape in the sketch to work with the digi image. Snow flake embossing folder used on the white panel and I also popped it up using foam tape. I decided to use a layer of gray behind the digi and I'm happy with the way it looks.

Copic's used:
Hair - YR21, YR24 & E37
Skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, R30
Clothes - R59, R29, R24, R05, C3, C1, C00

I hope that you have a fabulous Holiday with family and friends!

Paw print

Hi everyone! Here's my take on this week CAS(E) this sketch! Here's the sketch and what I did with it.

Yes, I turned it.

Paw print is die cut from black cardstock using the die from Paper Smooches. I cut out two sets and used foam tape between them to give it some dimension! The sentiment is from Paper Smooches, as well. The little red heart is a stamp from PTI that I decided to add at the last minute for a spot of color.

Celebrate

Hi everyone! Here's my take on this past Mojo Monday's sketch. I also paired it up with this weeks CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

The celebrate stamp is a $1 stamp from Studio G and colored with Copics.

Designer paper is from DCWV and I used the big dots embossing folder on the blue cardstock. Pennant die is from Verve, which I used on the lime green cardstock and then layered it with blue. Added some green rhinestones for some bling as we head into the new year!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! Only 5 more days until Christmas - I'm so not ready! UGH!

Thinking of you

Hey there! Here's my card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch and I also paired it with the Wednesday SSS challenge.

Designer paper is from Authentique and the fishtail banner dies from MFT were used to cut out the banners.

Sentiment is from PTI as is the vintage cream cardstock. The blue ribbon is from Reflections and it has these spaces in it which was perfect fit for the rhinestones.

That's it, pretty CAS and quick! Have a great day and thanks for popping in!

Have you stopped believing?

Hi everyone! How about a little Christmas humor? I sent these two cards out to friends who I know will get a big chuckle out them! Same design on the front, just changed up the inside of the card!

Both pairs of underwear and sentiment are digi's from Whimsie Doodles. Both are colored with Copic's. Designer paper is from K&Company.

I don't know about you, but when I was young and still believing in Santa, I still got underwear!!!  So, really it's not about believing at all, but a Mother's way of killing two birds with one stone! YKWIM?

Thanks - Saturday sketch

Hi everyone! I had a chance to check out this weeks Saturday Sketch over at Simon Says Stamp. It's called Anything Goes - Any Sketch after #215 - You have a whole slew of sketches to choose from and I chose #230.

This uses the new Gina K vertical greetings stamp set! The flowers are colored with Copic's to look like poppies.

Gingham paper is from A*Muse. The grosgrain ribbon color is spring green from Ribbons and Bows Oh My and the yellow pearls are from Kaisercraft.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping in!

snow-one else like you

Hello! Here's my take on several challenges today! The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches #116.

Snowflakes are punched out on white cardstock using the punch from EK Success. I glittered the back one with Ranger distress stickles dry glitter. The red one is heat embossed twice using red embossing powder. Heating it twice gave it the white speckles which I kind of like.

Sentiment is from There She Goes. Label dies are from Papetrey, Ink and the red and white snowflake trendy tape is from Queen & Co. Which is not easy to use, by the way. It's a bit thicker than Washi tape and stuck better.

Here are the challenges that this is going onto:
FMS #116
CAS-ual Friday #123 - let it snow
Cas.ology - snowflake

How are you?

Good Morning! Went to bed last night and it had just started snowing and the weather guys were  forcasting just a dusting to 1" of the white stuff. Woke up and it's not too bad out, I would say half an inch, which is really just a dusting, right?  Very pretty! Thank goodness I don't have to leave for work until later, that way the roads should be clear!

These stamps are from There she goes, which is closing it's doors at the end of the month! Sad! I had to get the companion set of sentiments that went with the lucky duck set because of this particular sentiment! Love it!

Ducks are colored with Copic's and the designer paper is from DCWV.

Thanks for stopping by and stay safe in this ugly weather!!!

Knitted holiday blessings

Greeting everyone! I was kind of intrigued by this weeks CAS(E) this sketch and decided to give it a go! Here is what I came up with!

The stamp is from Impress Rubber stamps and you can see it here.  I stamped it in MFT wild cherry ink from Colorbox.  Sentiment is from Papetrey, Ink.

I kept this clean and simple to highlight that great knitted design on the stamp. Thanks for stopping by!

Snowflake Ornament

Hi everyone! This card is for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. The challenge is to make your own back ground.  Here's what I created.

Pine limb stamp is from Great Impressions and stamped in Palette Jardin Moss. Greeting is from Papertrey, Ink.

The snowflake ornament is from Memory Box and I cut it out using white cardstock. Then I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed it with Silver Embossing powder. Lastly, I added two silver pearls to the die. As you can tell by the shadow, it's popped up on the card using foam tape.

ETA: Also entering this into the Less is More challenge of Metallic Element plus One Other Color

Very Merry

Hi everyone! Here's my take on this weeks CAS-ual Friday challenge.

http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com/2013/12/cfc122.html

Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. Out on a limb and the sentiment and die are from Tiny Tags.

I stamped the tree limb and berries onto vintage cream cardstock (also used as the base for the card) and then layered it with light green cardstock from Bazzill. The designer paper is from Memory Box and layered with Scarlet jewel cardstock from PTI.

Burgundy satin ribbon used across the top and the bow is tied using the Bow Easy.

Looking at this now, I think I might change up the green layer behind the main panel for the scarlet jewel. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
