Pink posies

Greetings!

Here's a girlie card that I actually like! LOL! I just got my new set of labels 17 and put it to use on this one!

The roses are stamped in Palette fresh snow randomly onto the kraft cardstock. I let it dry overnight and then came back and colored them with Prismacolor pencils and blended it with OMS.

The white line around the green label panel was done with a sharpie white poster pen while the paper was still in the die. Added two bright pink buttons (American crafts) and some scrappers floss to the curves for a bit of interest. A little bright I know, but I think it works.

The pink designer paper is from Paper Pizazz. The rose is from the Pretty Posies set and the sentiment is from Thinking of You, both from The Angel Company.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

TDS Showcase Showdown

Happy Wednesday everyone! Are you ready for another Halloween card showcasing an image from TDS?

Bat is colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with OMS. The sentiment is from TAC and was a SOTM from several years ago.

The bat designer paper is from K&Company and is layered with a lime green/black Core'dination paper. Notice that I distressed it a bit to showcase the green!

Image is one of Brian Lock's and can be found at The Digi Shack!

Thanks for stopping by and have a batty good day!

Big deal

Clean and simple is the technique of the day, not really...but this card sure is!

Polka dots and the sentiment are stamped in Palette Starry night ink. A navy grosgrain ribbon is tied around the white cardstock and then glued down to a navy card base. Pretty quick and simple.

Stamps are from The Angel Company.

So, what do you think?

Toot Toot!

Hey everyone! I was really excited to learn that I won another contest with The Angel Company. This time I entered three cards into the Terrific Trio category. Basically, you make three cards using two different stamp sets. Here are the three cards I entered that won!

All three use the Blossoms and Blessing set and the little bugs are from the Garden Joy set. All are colored with Copic markers and a stardust gel pen. The designer papers are also from TAC's Emma Soar With It Collection, with the addition of white, black and green cardstock. The ribbon I used can be found in the TAC catty, as well.

I used the stardust gel pen on the wings of the bee and dragonfly. In the second card, I cut the flower bud out and popped it up with foam tape and hand drew a stem. The last card has some fussy cutting on it as well! Love how they both came out!

So now I get to use my $100 GC to purchase some new stamps from the upcoming release of the Inspiration Avenue due out October 1. Whoo Hoo!

Playing around with Alcohol inks

Hey all! I was cleaning up the craft room and ended up playing around instead. Do you ever do that? This time with alcohol inks and clear embossing powder.

Blues, pinks and a bit of pearl make up the color base on this tag. First, I stamped my collage with TAC stamps and versamark. Embossed with clear and then made a mess with the alcohol inks on the tag. After it dried a bit, I ironed off the embossing powder.

If you look really close (or click on the picture) you can see where I added a bit of stickles onto certain parts of the stamped images.

The blue crinkled ribbon is seam binding that I colored with a Copic marker and then hand crinkled up - worked wonderfully.

This is a little bit edgy for me, but I like how it turned out. What do you think?

TDS Showcase Showdown

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday - here is the latest Halloween image that is available over at The Digi Shack.

The image is colored with Copic Markers and a silver metallic gel pen. The long rectangle nestabilities were used to cut out the main image and the purple.

The swirl is from Tim Holtz grunge board pack and colored with a black Copic Marker. I cut it in half in order to fit it onto the card. A black button from American Crafts is used with some scrappers floss (colored with a Copic) tied on.

So, what do you think?

Birthday Wishes

Hello! I just got some new stamps and was playing around a bit....This is what I ended up with. Not sure I'm feeling it, but it is a different color combo.

I stamped the rose vine and rose in Palette fresh snow ink on the kraft cardstock. Then took a dauber and edged it all around. The die is the mat stack 3 die from PTI. I cut out a circle and stamped the image and placed it right in the center.

The rose's in the lower corners are stamped and then embossed with glacier white embossing powder. Designer paper is from Paper Pizazz and the two self adhesive pearls are from kaisercraft.

All stamps are from The Angel Company. The rose and rose vine are from Pretty Posies, and then sentiment is from Thinking of you.

So, what do you think?

TDS Showcase Showdown

Happy Wednesday! Here's another image that you can pick up over at The Digi Shack! I colored this one a little bit differently!

Shades of purple Prismacolor pencils were used with OMS. The sentiment is from The Angel Company.

Designer paper is from K&Company. The background was from my stash and done with distress inks. I added a bit frost shimmer spritz that you can't really see in the picture, but in real life it sparkles.

Kaisercraft rhinestones used in the corners to anchor things down.

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear what you think of my bat card!

Coldwater Creek Inspiration

If your like me, you get a ton of sale catalogues in the mail. I just got the latest fall Coldwater Creek one and found a bit of inspiration within its pages. Here's the wall hanging that inspired me.

This is what I came up with!

The leaf is from the Happily Grateful set from The Angel Company. I stamped it with Versamark onto ivory cardstock and embossed it using clear embossing powder. Next I used Black Soot distress ink and covered the entire surface using the direct to paper technique. After letting it dry, I ironed off the embossing powder.

I cut it into three panels and layered it with ivory cs and then with black. Added some ivory satin ribbon and a bow and then adhered it to an ivory card base.

I think it turned out pretty good! What do you think?

CAS Thank U

Hello! Here's a card I designed for Victorine Originals a while back. Just a real clean and simple Thank you card that took about 5 minutes to make.

Bow is tied with the bow easy. Kraft and black cardstock are from TAC.

We ended up coming home from our RV trip earlier than planned due to some damp, rainy and cold conditions. But that's what can happen up in the mountains in September. Here's a few pictures from our trip.

North Fork Cispus River

Tahklahk Lake

Horseshoe Lake
The Oasis
These were taken on Forest Service Road 23 in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. We explored a lot of gravel forest roads in the forest and came across some pretty cool finds.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

TDS Showcase Showdown

Hey everyone - happy Wednesday! Here is another new image being released by The Digi Shack from Brian Lock!

Pumpkin boy is stamped on Neenah Classic solar white and colored with copic markers. Yes, I did do some fussy cutting and popped him up with foam tape.

Halloween sentiment is from Inkadinkado and stamped in Memories black and embossed with clear embossing powder. Got out the drippy goo punch and punched some coolness onto that lime green cardstock. Designer paper on the left is from K&Company. Self adhesive black rhinestones from Kaisercraft finish it off.

Check out the rest of the design teams blogs to see more Halloween images showcased today. You can find the link on the right side bar!

Thanks for stopping by! This post was pre-scheduled as I'm in the woods, in the RV, camping! Let's hope the weather holds out and it doesn't rain as much as they are predicting it will...life in the northwest - you never know what your gonna get!

Still hooked on you

Happy Labor Day everyone! Today is also my 24th wedding anniversary! Here's the card I made for my DH.

The image is from Whipper Snapper Designs called Kroner. I colored him with Copic markers and made the card as clean and simple as I could. You know men, the less fussy the better!

Inside it says: I'm hooked on you and happy anniversary. I'm still wondering where in the heck those 24 years went? Seemed like they flew by in a flash! We've had our up's and down's like any couple, but we're still together - for better or worse. Hmm...sounds like the vows we made!

So, do you think he'll like it? He's a fishing fanatic and we'll be out camping in the RV during our anniversary....Nothing like the smell of rain and campfire to get the romantic juices flowing!!

Gatefold love card

Hi everyone! I made this card a while back ago and forgot to post it on the blog.

I randomly stamped one of the newer back ground stamps from TAC in Palette Moulin Rouge on kraft card stock. I cut one of them out using a nestabilities circle die and stamped the Love sentiment into the middle.

Using black card stock I folded the card into a gatefold and attached the kraft to it. Prior to gluing down the right side I added the black satin ribbon that is used to tie the card closed. All supplies are from The Angel Company.

It's a lot prettier in real life - but would love to hear your comments!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
