Colorful smooched birthday card

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the ever popular Anything Goes!

I was playing around with Distress Oxide Inks and water color paper and came up with this background that I turned into a card.  I stepped out of my comfort zone and did a little distress and layering with this one.

I used the following stamps:
5125-C, Dragonfly Sil. (sm
9713-E, Bubbles
6806-U, Sheet Music
Birthday sentiment

Scrappers floss in black used tie it all together along with some Black irResistible embellisher to create the drops. I also used Tim Holtz pen spritzer to add some ink splatters.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

Thinking of you

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I used 10307-H, Patti's Flower Outline and stamped them onto water color paper. Then cut them out and used Oxide inks to dye them according to the photo (or close to it, at least). The large leaf vine is from Simon Say Stamp. I adde the flowers then filled in with other leaves that I die cut. Added the butterfly brad and the dragonfly die cut for interest. As you can see, there is a bit of sparkle to it, unfortunately some leaves got more than the flowers. I left it. Last week I used the same "thinking of you" sentiment, but this week I changed the way it is orientated on the card.

Hello

Hi all. Playing in two challenges today. Started off with the sketch over at CAS(e) this Sketch and then used the challenge of subtle colors from Less is More.

Diagonal stripe stamp is from The Stamp Market and it's stamped in basil pigment ink from Fresh Ink. Flowers and the sentiment are from STAMPlorations Dee's artsy impressions. I again used pigment inks in limeade, sugar and pink lemonade to create the subtle look.

It's a misty rainy windy day here in the Pacific Northwesst. Perfect for staying inside and stamping. Thanks for stopping in.

ETA: forgot I could include this into the SSS Wednesday challenge of no designer paper.

Thanks

Hi all - Playing in the Flower Challenge today and they have a sketch challenge up on their blog. Here is what I did with it.

I used Washi tape from Altenew to cover the panels that are called out in the sketch. This washi tape is wide enough to cover an A2 card and was a little hard to work with at first. But once you get the hang of how to handle it, it's awesome. Die cut several dragonfly and the Thanks, stacked and glued them all together so that they would stand out. The butterfly is chipboard cutout that I sponged black soot distress ink on. Added then onto the panels per the sketch and called it done.

Thanks for stopping by!

Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I went down the center row. Use Washi tape, polka dots and off the edge.
The bonus is that I actually had washi tape that had polka dots on it. Used 10203-D, Leaf Cluster Outline and colored them with Copic's, cut the out and put behind the flower petals that I die cut out. Tag and label die from Technique Tuesday.  I used the same copic marker to color the seam binding that I attached to the tag.

Skates

Hello. Playing in the CAS(e) this sketch challenge today.

Skate die is from Gina Marie Designs and I have no idea where I got the small and large pine/fir branch dies from. Did a quick search but didn't find it. The snowflake designer paper is from my Christmas stash that I've had forever. Embossed the white card base with snowflakes to add a bit of interest to the white space. I did lace up the skates with some DMC floss, which you will see if you enlarge the photo.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in.

Just "Bee" cause - use a stencil challenge

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week it is my turn to decide what our challenge is for the Designer's Choice Challenge. I want everyone to use a stencil.

I used distress oxide ink in squeezed lemonade and a hexagon stencil. Added the scrappers floss behind the gingham bow for some added interest. Kept this clean and simple to highlight the use of the stencil in the background. Now it's your turn.....

Project of the week - stamping with markers

Hello. It's my time over at The House That Stamps Built to host the project of the week. Today I'm focusing on using markers to stamp with.

I used Memento markers to color the pine branch stamp with, huffed on it, then stamped it randomly around the cardstock.

I left a spot in the middle for a sentiment. Then I die cut a rectangle section out, popped it up with fun foam and layered it on top of the other piece. This give it a faux double stamping look, but I used only one cardstock layer.

Stamps:
2708-M, Pine Branch
Plate 8600 - Quartet compliment series - thinking of you

I love this stamp and use it often for masculine cards. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
