Birthday cheer

Hi everyone. Playing in The Paper Players tic-tac-toe challenge today.

Ribbon, spring flowers and a birthday day cheer thrown in.  Flowers and their dies are My Favorite Things, colored with Copic's. I used a grid background stamp and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder on the black for the panel in the back ground. Love the shine it gives this.

Stay safe and thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of you

Hello all. I hope this finds you well and being safe! I watched Tim Holtz' facebook live demo on Saturday and he has put out a challenge to make something and share it on Instagram. I've done that, but decided to share it her too.

I used distress oxide inks and distress micro glaze with a stencil from Memory Box to create the back ground here. The sentiment and the dragonfly are old stamps from My Sentiments Exactly that I believe are no longer in business. Stamped in versafine and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Anyway, please practice social distancing and stay home! Take care and be safe!

Everything will be okay

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

Flower stamp is an old one from Close To My Heart. I stamped it in versafine, heat embossed in clear then colored with Copic's. I did also highlight the centers using a prismacolor pencil in light blue and white.

Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. Gingham designer paper is from A*Muse. This ended up being a top folding card.

Also adding this into the Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes challenge.

Stay safe out there!

Just because - Fusion challenge

Hello. It's time for another Fusion Challenge. Here is the graphic for you.

I was inspired by the hexagons on the cake and the sketch. I used watercolor paper and distress oxide inks to get the blue/teal colors. Once dry, I used an embossing folder and then cut it apart to go with the sketch design.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge.

Happy Birthday bouquet

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I used a bunch of flower and leaf die cuts to create this. Smooched some distress oxide inks to color the cardstock and then sponged on some more to highlight. Decided to go with mostly purples and greens as the photo color picture calls for.  Used a paper doily in the back for added interest and tucked the birthday sentiment in.

Hello there

Hi everyone!  Playing in a couple of challenges today. I started off with the flowers from the Simon Says Stamp stronger together stamp set. I stamped it onto cold press watercolor paper using Inkon3 fade out ink and water colored it using markers and a water brush. Used gauche to splatter on some white and black spots for added interest.

Card base is cardstock from PTI called rustic white. Embossed the front layer with a Darice quilted embossing folder. Green cardstock from MFT used with a stitched rectangle die and then wrapped with twine.

The hello there sentiment is from SSS too.

Entering this into the Flower Challenge - Anything goes
The Paper Players - spring flowers CAS challenge

Stay safe and healthy out there!

Tic Tac Toe challenge - just because

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I went with the first line across - stitching, cats and a square card.  I just love this cat - his expression is so funny to me. You can find him under the "Swing" stamp sets.  Dug out some big eyelets to embellish with on this, as the metallic color went very well with all the grays.

Pick of the week - just a note

Hello. It's my turn to over at The House That Stamps Built to do a pick of the week. Here is what I chose to do.

I stamped and heat embossed the family of dragonflies using versafine and clear embossing powder. The I added a geometric stencil that kind of reminded me of lattice and used tumbled glass distress oxide ink lightly over it.

Added some splatters, spritzed with sparkle shimmer spritz then added the dew drops to finish up the card.

5125-C, Dragonfly Sil. (sm)
5102-F, Dragonfly Sil. (lg)
4402-O, Damselfly
1112-E, Just A Note

It's always hard to capture the sparkle in photo's, but in real life this is really pretty. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday - Fusion

Hello. Here is the new challenge over at Fusion! Play with the sketch, play with the photo or do both!

I used the flower dies from CASual Friday to create the flower spray. Cut them out of pink cardstock then added some highlights using Copic markers. Self adhesive pearls used in the center. Pink striped dp is from my stash. Used the same color pink cardstock as the flowers to cut a tiny strip to separate the white card base from the dp.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Designers Choice Challenge - raining cats and dogs

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our designer choice challenge and Esther has chosen - raining cats and dogs.

I used a stencil to create the rain. I stamped the flower cluster (10205-E, Flower Cluster Outline) onto the umbrella and added some fabrica Decoru to the centers. Cloud dies are from PTI and I cannot remember where I got the umbrella, but it might be PTI as well. Used the get well soon sentiment from RI, but went horizontal with it to fit the card.

Thanks

Hello. Playing in the theme challenge today over at The Paper Players. It's called "turn up the heat" and covers heat embossing. Here is what I did with it.

I used the thank you turn-a-bout stamp set from Concord & 9th. Distress oxide ink used to color. White embossing powder is from Ranger. Popped it up on fun foam to give it a bit of dimension.

Thanks for stopping by!
