Thinking of you

Hey there - Playing in The Paper Players TTT challenge today with this card.

Butterfly stamp is from Memory Box. I stamped it in versafine ink, heat embossed and then colored with Copic markers. Sentiment is from Ellen Hutson (from the mondo hydrangea set) and it's also heat embossed.  The gingham paper is from my paper stash that I've had 20+ years - who knows where it came from, but it matched my coloring and the light blue cardstock on the bottom. I used a pierced rectangle die from MFT to cut both out. The butterfly oval is cut out of a cover plate die from Avery Elle.

Hello

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I was inspired by the flowers in the vase and the window behind it in the photo.

Vase stamp is from Papertrey, Ink. I used a punch from Martha Stewart to create all the little flowers. To match the flowers in the photo, I used a Copic marker to color the paper before punching the flowers out. Tiny pearls used for the centers of the flowers. Window die is an old one from Memory Box. I did put a piece of acetate behind it to give it a bit of realism.  Sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Hydrangea's

Hello - What is this, my third post today? Wow, the mojo was flowing today. LOL =) I'm now playing in the Twofer challenge with the code word of Flowers.

Mondo Hydrangea is from Ellen Hutson. I stamped it in versamark ink and heat embossed it using detail white embossing powder from Ranger. Then I spritzed them both heavily with water and dipped a paint brush into blue watercolor and let it run. Layered both of these onto navy blue cardstock.

Once dried, I added the sentiments and the flower centers using fabrika decoru drops.  Sympathy sentiment is from Honey Bee and the birthday one is from Simon Says Stamp.

Official Memo:

Hi all. Playing in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge today of making your own background.

I used distress oxide inks in speckled egg, antique linen and rustic wilderness with the argyle stencils from Newtons Nook. This has actually been sitting in my background stash for a while and I put it to use for this challenge.

Memo paper die is from Papertrey, Ink. Shirt and the sentiments are from My Favorite Things.  I did pop up the argyle background with a sheet of adhesive foam tape from Scrapbook.com for a little dimension. The shirt is colored with Copic's, fussy cut out and popped up as well.

Buzzillion

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This month all of our weekly challenges will be Anything Goes!

I blended squeezed lemonade distress oxide ink to highlight the bee hive. The hexagon die is from Honey Bee. Added a few yellow layers into the cut out to create some interest.

Stenciled peonies

Hello. I am determined to use up a lot of my un-used card bits in my stash this year. When I first got the peony stencil from Simon Says Stamp, I used it right away and then threw the panel in my to use later box.  The time is now....

It's been sitting in the box for so long that I now do not remember what inks I used to blend with on this. I did add some wink of stella to the center of the flowers. The green panel in back is embossed with a dotted quilt folder from Darice.

Birthday sentiment is from Avery Elle and the butterfly die is from Memory Box.

Mint Butterfly

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This month all of our weekly challenges will be Anything Goes!

I used one of the butterflies from the quartet stamps to create this little square.  Colored with copies and I added some dots around the perimeter to go with the designer paper.

Hang in there

Hello. I dug out a very old stamp set from the former Angel Company to play in the theme challenge of fashion over at Less is More.

I stamped it in versafine ink and heat embossed it in clear so that I could color with Copic's. Kept this very clean and simple. After cutting the main panel out with a stitched die, I put some fun foam on the back and stuck it on the same color card base.

This set also included a bra and a sentiment that say "thanks for your support." An oldie, but a goody and worth hanging onto.

Have a great day!

Just because

Hi there. I just got this new stencil from A colorful life and had to play with it.

Ok, I said I was playing around, so I didn't use a good quality paper here - so the oxide blending is a bit chunky. But, once I cut it out and added some black paint splatters, it looked pretty good. I also spritzed on some sparkle shimmer spray that doesn't come up in the photo.

Sentiment is heat embossed using versafine black ink. It's from Honey Bee. The card base is navy from PTI and I used a piece of A2 sized foam tape from Scrapbook.com to adhere the butterfly panel to it.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

It's the little things

Hello - playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #467 challenge today.

The designer paper is a very old hoarded piece called washi accents that I got at my local stamp store many moons ago.

I used some old backgrounds bits from my stash on the butterflies.  Black shiny cardstock used to cut out the detailed outline.  The big butterfly is popped up on tiny foam squares so that it appears to be in flight.  Sentiment and the butterfly dies are all from Memory Box.

Thanks for stopping in.

Choose Happy

Hello and Welcome to our first Fusion Card Challenge of 2021. This is where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I did combine the two!  Inspired with the black and white buffalo plaid and the cocoa cups. Cup die is from Penny Black. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. Used some tulip puffy paint and heat embossed it for the whip cream.  Buffalo plaid stamp is from Kaisercraft.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, there are a lot of really cool ideas!

Birthday balloons

Hi everyone. Happy New Year! It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Anything Goes - and we will continue it for the entire month of January.

I stamped and masked the balloons to create this clean and simple birthday card. Used a die to cut out the sentiment.  Positioned the happy over the balloons, then used the negative to add the birthday, that way I kept it spaced correctly. I don't know about you all, but even if I use a ruler, it still doesn't line up sometimes. So much easier to use the negative as a guide.

Hello

Hi there. Playing in another challenge today. Addicted to CAS code word is Emboss.

I used a quilted embossing folder on the background panel for this card. I also heat embossed the sentiment and tulips so that I could color with Copic's. Sentiment is from Avery Elle and the tulips are from Clearly Besotted.

I have to mention that I've had the tulips colored up and thrown in my unused cards bits pile for a while and decided to put it to use today. One of my new years resolutions is to use up those bits and backgrounds this year.

Thanks for dropping by.
