Masculine birthday - LIM #482 alphabet challenge

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Less Is More.  This time around we are going with an alphabet theme - beginning with A = automobile.

Car is a digital stamp that I printed and colored with Copic's. The border stamp is from Paper Smooches.  Rectangle dies are from Jillian Vance Designs.

Here is the cue card.

Happy Birthday - digital daisies

Hello! I recently invested in a new Canon TS3522 back loading printer in order to print digital images for cards. I say invested, but it was really an inexpensive printer (bought at Wal*Mart) that is performing surprisingly well. Too thumbs up for it and I highly recommend it.

I posted this on Facebook in the Clean and Simple card making group and got a lot of questions and figured I post this here and answer them.

The image is from PNGwing - it was FREE. If you don't know how to use png's here is a good video from Christine Stokes.

The sentiment is a stamp from Jaded Blossoms and you can find it here. The die that I used to cut out the digital picture with is from Jillian Vance Designs and can be found here

The cardstock that I used is Royaltone Regal White from the Cardstock Warehouse.  It's a 100 lb cover and went through the Canon printer well.

I hope this helps those who might not know how to use digital or photos for cards. It's pretty easy and can have really wonderful results. It will never replace red rubber or clear stamps, but it's another option when you need something specific that you don't have in your inventory of stamps.

Hope and joy

Hi everyone,
I liked this sketch so much that I had to do a Christmas version of it.

I found these sweet critters in my "to color" digi stamp files. I have NO idea who designed it. I searched high and low through my computer files and cannot find it.

Colored with Copic's. Designer paper is an old sheet from K&Company that I've had in my Christmas stash forever.  I did use a white gel pen to highlight the fuss on the scarf. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hang in there

Hi everyone! Came across two items in my "to make into cards" area on my desk and they worked themselves into a pretty cool card - no pun intended.

I made the blue piece a while ago when dropping water into splats was all the rage. Well, they're more dots than splats anyway, so I'll link this up to the Addicted to CAS Dots challenge.

The girl is a digi stamp from Mo Manning and colored with Copic's. I added a bit of sparkle in the snow falling and wind elements using the clear wink of Stella brush.

Sentiment is an old one from the former Angel Company that I stamped and cut out using a tag die from Paper Smooches. A little bit of red and white baker twin tied into a bow finishes it off.  I chose this sentiment as a message to all of us to "hang in there" during the stressful Holiday season. We don't have to do it all and remember to delegate to your family! They have to learn sometime! right?

Christmas hello

Hello there. Got to play around a bit this afternoon and colored up this cute digi for Christmas!

This cute pair fit well into this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

I have no idea where this digi stamp came from either! Yikes! It's in my Christmas folder which is filed under all my digital stamps.....If anyone recognizes this, please leave me a comment as to who it belongs to!

The buckle is from a box of hardware that I got from the former Angel Company. I had to paint it gold to match and it took a while to dry. But once it was, I threaded it through some black grosgrain ribbon that worked nicely with the width of the buckle. Red satin ribbon is used behind the main panel.

Used a multi-dot embossing folder from Darice as texture in the back ground. Like that it looks like snow!

Picture below of the copic's used to color this cute pair, in addition I used E50 and YR00.

If the broom fits...

Happy Halloween!  Here's one last card centered around this great holiday!

This is a digi image and colored with copic's, and the sentiment is computer generated too.

Designer paper is from KandCompany, which I matched with lime green, purple and black.

Keeping this post short today - have a great Halloween and be safe out there!

CAS presents

Hi everyone! I'm in San Diego CA attending a business meeting for the next couple of days and thought I'd schedule a few posts while I'm gone. Here's a quick CAS special occasion card.

This is a Digi stamp that I colored with Copic markers. My apologies, but I can't remember where I got this digi from.  Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

I added the polka dots onto the pink present with a white Sharpie paint pen. The white panel is popped up using foam tape onto the blue card base. I also lined the inside of the card with a piece of white copy paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

So grateful

Since the weather outside is so ugly and I'm stuck in the house - it gave me chance to play with this weeks freshly made sketch!

I followed the sketch verbatim and it came out CAS! Love it!

Flower is a digi and colored with Copic's. Sentiment is from Gina K. Cardstock is from Hot Off The Press, and the blue button came from American Crafts.

Have a great weekend!

Hanging basket

Hello everyone. Here's a digi (or line art) that I got off of the Gooseberry Patch blog.

It immediately caught my eye and I wanted to see if I could do it justice with Copic's. It was a challenge getting those tiny flowers colored in! Labels 1 used to cut the image out and the tag at the bottom is also from Spellbinders.

Sentiment is from The Angel Company. I also used the brick embossing folder from Tim Holtz on the gray cardstock, which is kind of hard to see. Brown gingham ribbon and gold pearls tie the tag together at the bottom of the card.

Thanks for dropping in and grab whatever time you have to be creative today!

Go on forever!

Hello everyone. Here's a quick wedding card that I put together using a digital image. I colored it with Copic Markers.

The sentiment is from My cute stamps that I found in a local stamp store somewhere. I think the sentiment is so fresh and different that I just had to buy the set.

I paired the light green with a dark blue to match the colors in the designer paper (Basic Grey) and it also had some of the pink that's in the sweet peas.

Labels 4 was used to cut out the sweet peas and then I layered it onto the dark blue using a labels 8 die. The designer paper was also cut out using that die. I added a bit of Palette Jardin Moss ink around the edges using a dauber.

What do you think? Thanks for stopping by!

Red Poppies

Happy 4th everyone! Here's a card I did a while ago with another digital stamp. I'm not sure who the designer of this one is, though.

I colored the poppies bright red because I've been seeing a lot of them lately. It's a nice change from the standard orange California variety.

The poppies are colored with Copic Markers. Using some pure poppy cardstock from PTI, I layered both the main image and the sentiment. The sentiment is also from PTI.

The green cardstock is from Bazzill. And don't ya just love those polka dots in the background?
The stamp is from Stamp Camp. I think I used Memento bamboo leaves ink on it and then cut it out with the square scalloped die from Spellbinders.

Spring green grosgrain ribbon is tied around the bottom and I added some green rhinestones to it for some bling. I really liked how this color combo came together for some reason.

Well, I better get busy and put myself together for our BBQ today. The family is going over to my Dad's to celebrate. I had to make a huge bowl of potato salad to take! Luckily I did that yesterday so that I wouldn't be rushed today. I hope you had a wonderful time with family and friends!

Another Digi Stamp Card

Here's another card made using Digi stamps. This image is again from Sketching Stampers Digi Stamps.

It's colored using Copic Markers in R35 Coral, R37 Carmine, G21 Lime Green and G24 Willow.

I dusted off my crimper and ran a piece of kraft card stock through it. Tied a green gingham piece of ribbon to it and added it on the green card stock. The base of the card is obviously white, and I layered the main digi image with red card stock from Bazzill. This is fast layout that is kind of classic. It can work for just about anything!

I just love to color and it sure does take my mind off of whatever is troubling me at the moment! =)
