Trio of butterflies

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays.

The butterfly collage stamp is from Unity.  I stamped another two, colored both with Copic's, and fussy cut out two of the butterflies to pop up on the card. The script embossing folder is an old one from Provo Craft.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Winter snowflake mittens

Hi everyone. Playing in the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players today, the sketch is down below.

Do you ever have one of those days where everything is stacked against you when you think you have this fabulous idea for a card?  That was me on this one.  I was bound and determined to use this older mitten stamp and die set from Hero Arts. I was having a difficult time choosing the cardstock colors to match the designer paper from Gina K Designs. Should I go with a light or a dark-colored cardstock? I think I waffled on this three times before landing on the dark color.   I heat-embossed the stamp design using white detail embossing powder onto peacock cardstock from C&9th.

I used an old snowflake embossing folder from Provo Craft for the background.

Mixed media Christmas tag

Hello. I'm playing in The Paper Players tag you're it challenge today.

I created a mixed media tag using distress inks, and a few stamps from Park Lane and Lawn Fawn. The dies are a mix of Tim Holtz Sizzix and Simon Says Stamp. I finished it off with a splatter of rustic wilderness re-inker and tied on a few bows made from twine.

The background is a sheet of music that was heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

I used the Christmas postage stamp washi tape from 49th and Market to create the strips and layered it with red cardstock. The sentiment is from the former Raisin Boat company. I used the largest postage stamp die from Unity to showcase the stamp strips for this holiday card.

Christmas cheer

Hello. Playing in a few challenges today. I started off with the sketch over at Sunday Stamps and paired it with the color challenge over at The Paper Players.

The red-striped dp is from my stash of Christmas papers so I have no idea where it came from originally. The poinsettia is cut from paper from Violet's studio designs. I liked that it looks as though it is splattered with white paint. I added some additional greenery behind it for some interest.  The white panel is embossed with an embossing folder and the sentiment is popped up with foam tape.

I like big cups

Hello. I got a chance to play around a bit today and made a few cards for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop. Here is the first one.

The stamps are from Technique Tuesday. I paired it with some brown gingham cardstock from A*Muse studio that I found in my stash. The tag die is an old one from PTI. Tied some twine into a bow and adhered it to a brown panel, which I used also for layering.

More cards to come later!

Thanks

Hello everyone!
Wanted to share this watercolored thanks card that I created with distress inks. This was inspired by a video done by Dawn over at WPlus9.

The pine branch with the pinecone is from Simon Says Stamp. I also used a script background stamp from MFT to add a bit of interest to it. The dot stitched background die is from A Jillian Vance Design.

The thanks die is from the Spellbinders set by Yana called layer script sentiments. I used some cream-colored velum on the shadow.
