Thinking of you

Hello everyone! I'm not one of those people who needs to go out shopping on Black Friday - I think it's crazy myself.  So I just sit at home and shop in my jammies! Here's my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketches.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. Designer paper is from Kaisercraft, as are the purple rhinestones.

The flower is made from the My Favorite Things rose die. Leaf stems are punched out using the Martha Stewart craft punch.

This is also being entered into this weeks Simon Says Stamp anything goes challenge.

Have a great weekend shopping for as many bargains as you can find!

Let's get stuffed!

Hi everyone! Here's a quick post to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

The image and sentiment is from Whimsie Doodle and colored with Copic's.

Designer paper is from DCWV and I used the rounded banner die from My Favorite Things to cut out a piece of white cardstock.   I popped up the image and the sentiment panel and separated the two with some tiny satin ribbon.

Enjoy the day with family and friends and try not to get too stuffed! Thanks for stopping in!

Malamute sleigh

Hey everyone! Saw this challenge over at Addicted to CAS and just had to play along!!!

Yep, had to make something to play along since I'm a pet lover.

This stamp is from Whipper Snapper and when I saw it recently I just had to have it! The dog looks just like my Malamute, Noah! Big goofy self that he is!

Colored with Copic's and also added a bit of distress glitter to the white on the hats. Snowflake embossing folder used for the back ground. Both layers are popped up with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sparkle

Hello everyone! I had an opportunity to put together this card for two challenges today. It was great to relax a bit with some craftiness after a busy work week.

Sentiment stamp is from My Favorite Things and stamped in Gypsy Blue from Fresh Ink. I took my stardust pen and added a bit of sparkle to the swirl in the sentiment. You might need to click on the picture to see it tho!

Designer paper is from K&Company. The blue shimmer paper is from Hot Off The Press which I used to layer the bottom banner and the sentiment panel. Ribbon is colored with a smokey blue Copic to match. Dies from MFT.

I have 8 rhinestones on this card to co-inside with the CAS-ual Friday create with 8 challenge. The sketch is from this weeks Simon Says Stamp challenge, which I turned sideways.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Happiness Always

Hello everyone! This week is just flying by and I've been super busy at work. Here's a card I made a while ago but just never got around to posting.

I created the yellow area using gelatos and a little water to get that water colored look.  The leaf is a stamp from Technique Tuesday and is stamped in Sepia Archival ink.

Designer paper is from my stash and I have no idea who it's from. Fishtail banner die from MFT used on the yellow and orange cardstock. I added the gold tiny pearls at the last minute because I just thought it needed "something" to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping in!

I'm just resting my eyes

Hello everyone! Practicing my Copic coloring on this fun image!  If your wondering why I named my post "I'm just resting my eyes" that is what my DH says every time I catch him snoring in his recliner. Which is why I bought this fun image!!! He's gonna get a kick out of this card!

The stamp is from Art Impressions, stamped in Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. As many of you know, I dislike Memento ink due it not giving a sharp black image! But that is my personal opinion and I found a way around it. I did end up fussy cutting this one out because I had this idea.....this would look good sitting on a rug!!

The "rug" is made out of kraft cardstock, cut out using an oval die and then embossing it with the lattice embossing folder. I then distressed it using vintage photo distress ink and finally taking a pair of stork embroidery scissors and giving it a bit of fringe. What do you think? Does it look like a rug? I'm still a little unsure.

Mojo #319 - Red mittens

Hi all! Yes, another post (card) from me today!  Decided to try this weeks Mojo sketch and here's what I did with it.  I turned this sketch on it's side, BTW.

Stamps are from Verve except for the tiny snowflake in the mittens. Mittens are colored with Copic's.

The red and blue designer paper is from K&Company. Snowflake embossing folder is from PC and used on a piece of white cardstock. I did pop up this layer from the card base using foam tape.

Red cardstock is from Bazzill and the blueberry and enchanted evening are from PTI.

Off to clean up my mess now! Thanks for dropping in!

Skating

Greetings everyone! I sat down to color over the weekend to relax a bit and this is what I ended up creating!

Copic markers used on this Saturated Canary digi image by Krista Smith. What fun this was to color! I printed this on X-press it paper and let it sit overnight for the ink to completely dry before coloring.

Sentiment is from Savvy stamps. Designer paper is from K&Company.

One layer thanks

Hi everyone! I decided to test myself and play along with this weeks challenge over at Less is More. Which was to make a one layer thank you card. I very rarely ever make a one layer card, so here it is.

I used three different stamps on this baby! Polka dots are stamped in cherry red and both are from MFT. The double line stamp is from Papertrey, Ink. and the sentiment is from The Stamps of Life.

Take a guess how many times it took me to get this one semi-straight, even using a ruler and a pencil? Too many, that's how much!!!

But in the end, I like how it turned out! Thanks for stopping in!

Also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp - keep it clean and simple challenge.

Jolly Santa

Hello everyone! I got a few minutes to put this card together for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #111.

Stamp is from Make it Crafty and colored with Copic's. I had already colored him and it was just sitting waiting to be made into a card. I used the layer behind him to simulate his belt on a larger dimension - really liked how it turned out!

When I first went to construct the belt, I pierced it to look like the holes in a belt but they weren't big enough. When I tried to make them bigger the cardstock kind of buckled the in middle (no pun intended) and I finally went with a white paint pen. Added the gold part at the right to look like part of his buckle.

Snowflake embossing folder is a 5x7 from Provo Craft. Santa and the snowflake back ground are both popped up using foam tape!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Just because

Greetings all! I made this card last week using a sketch I liked (not sure who's it is now) and forgot all about it.

The image is from Plum Purdy and stamped in Versafine - then clear embossed so that I could color it with Copics.

The flower is felt and I had to air brush it to match all the elements on the card. The button is a die from PTI that drives me batty! It doesn't have any punch holes to get it out of the die once you cut it. I tried using washi tape, tape, etc. to get it out and finally had to dig it out with my piercing tool. Grrr! Do you have any dies that are frustrating to you? What do you do to get around it?

Designer paper is from DCWV - The pumpkin patch! I just love this 6x6 pad of dp! Sentiment is from Verve. Black rhinestones are from Kaisercraft.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo #318 Chalkboard Christmas Greetings

Hi everyone! Here's my take on this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch #318.

Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and stamped in white pigment ink onto a piece of chalkboard Artist trading card. I cut the corners to resemble the tag that is called out in the sketch.

Designer paper is from my Christmas stash and cut using the fishtail pennant die from MFT. The poinsettia is cut from small spellbinders poinsettia die out of Burgundy cardstock. I did distress the edges a bit with some black ink. Added the stamen and a white pearl for the center. Memory Box pine die and MS leaf punch used behind it to add some dimension.

I found that I had some Burgundy satin ribbon in my stash and used the Bow Easy to make the bow.

Thanks for stopping by!
