Hi everyone - Playing in the CAS colours & sketches #421 challenge today.

I really wanted to use this new die from The Greetery on this sketch and was bound and determined to get it right. I think it took me 5 tries to get everything lined up and as close to perfect as I could. My first sentiment that I wanted to use, just would not line up, even with the Misti. Then I got embossing lines, where I didn't want them....I'm sure you've all been there, inky fingerprints that wont come off, etc.  Well, I FINALLY got it! Whew.  That is aged mahogany distress ink behind the brick die cut. Added the sentiment from Paper Roses and a dragonfly die cut and called it done.

I was inspired by a few things within the photo. The Laugh decor photo, the peonies and the color of the walls. So I combined them into the sketch. Pink peonies stamps, stencils and dies are from Pretty Pink Posh. Sentiment is from Print works.

Let your dreams take flight

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Wet or Dry embossing or both. 

I did ink smooching and some heat embossing on a background and then cut out the butterfly. The cloud embossing folder is from Darice and I used a bit of tumbled glass distress oxide ink to highlight them. It's hard to see in the photo. I made a flag out of the sentiment using a fish tail banner die from MFT.  Pretend it's waving in the wind. LOL.

Cherry Blossoms hello - TSOT #508

Hi there. It's Tuesday and that means there is a new challenge over at Try stamping on Tuesday.  

This card turned out to be a 5 x 7 card due to the fact that the cherry blossoms are so huge. They are from Flourishes stamps. Colored with Copic's. Designer paper is from PTI.

Hi all - playing in the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players today.

The birds and the bee's challenge

I just got this gorgeous designer paper from Moda Scrap called "save the bee's collection" and put a piece to work for this challenge.  Copic marker used to color the bee along with a bit of wink of stella glitter on his wings.

Hello. Playing in the Addicted to CAS challenge of bugs today.

Squeezed lemonade distress oxide ink used with a blender brush for the center. Stamped the butterfly and sentiment in versafine clair ink.  That's it - clean and simple.  Butterfly and sentiment stamps are from Simon Says Stamp.

Hello. Playing in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of Stencil it today.

I used Prink Fresh Studio stencils for this and added a die cut Congratulations. Cross stitched die used to frame it up onto a solid green card base.

Just a note to say...

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Sew Special - sewing theme, real or faux. Here is what I came up with.

I used a stitched circle die and embossed it onto the card base, then added the waterlilies and dragonfly using some fun foam. Stamped the sentiment and called it good.

Leaping over rainbows - TSOT #506

Hello. There is a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping on Tuesday.

Rainbow dies are from Reverse Confetti. The cute unicorn and sentiment are from Stamping Bella. I colored the unicorn with Copic's and then fussy cut him out.  Cloud stencil is from a Colorful Life and used with tumbled glass oxide ink.

Hi everyone. I'm sharing a favorite image from repeat impression that I colored a while ago and reworked for this new card today.

The old card had a very dark purple card base and the image kind of got lost. I added a few more layers of white to the mix this time around and it brightened things up tremendously. I used Copic's to color the image.

Stitched rectangle dies used and the purple cardstock is from Bazzill and PTI. The hello die is from Sunny Studio and it's cut three times and layered up. 

It was fun to look through all my old cards and see how I could make them different and/or better with fresh eyes.

Birthday wishes

Hello. After practicing for months and CASing one of my favorite watercolor artists (K. Lynne), I finally got one done that I think is worth sharing. 

I used Inkon3 fade out ink with Tombow markers for the leaves and for the flowers I used aged mahogany distress ink. I watered it down a lot in order to get the soft colors that I admired in Kassi's creation which you can find here. 

Stamps are from Gina K Designs and the dot piercing die is from Gina Marie Designs. 

Entering this into The Flower Challenge use your favorite flower (peonies) challenge. 

Spread Kindness

Hello. Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #484 today.

Sentiment is from Mama Elephant. Leaf is cut out three times and stacked. I've had the green striped designer paper in my stash forever and put it to good use on this. Twine from PTI is tied in a bow to complete the card.  This ended up being a top folding card.
