Sketch challenge time!

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following sketch.

I stamped three of the airplanes and colored them with Copic's, then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut them out. Clouds are stamped with white pigment ink and then heat embossed. I sponged some light blue ink behind the clouds to create the sky.

Stamps can be found HERE over at Repeat Impressions.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in any of our challenges, the more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Let it snow

Hello. Playing in The Paper Players sketch challenge today.

Used Distress Oxide inks to create the blue panels and then spritzed them with sparkle shimmer spritz. Cut the snowflakes from silver glitter cardstock and then heat embossed the sentiment to match.

Have a great day and thanks for dropping by.

Thinking of you

Hello. Playing in the Less is More sketch challenge today.

I used the maple leaf from Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts inks in fall colors to create this. What I really like is that this could be used for so many occasions.

Have a great weekend.

Project of the week - emboss resist

Hello. It's my turn over at The House that Stamps Built to highlight a project of the week. I decided to go with an oldie but goodie. Emboss resist.

First you'll need a few supplies:
Clear embossing powder
Versamark or embossing ink
Solid stamp
Ink and an iron

First, stamp your image(s) with Versamark and heat emboss. Next add color to your card panel. I used Distress Oxide ink.
Next, take a piece of printer/copy paper and fold it in half. Insert your card panel and using your iron on dry (no steam) iron off the embossing.
Your printer paper will pick up the embossing powder.
Then finish off your card.  I added a sentiment panel to the top and a few dew drops for some added interest.

I used the following stamps and for this week they will be on sale over at Repeat Impressions.

10314-H, Daisy Solid Large
10306-E, Daisy Solid Small
9206-H, Beautiful Days

Thanks for stopping by!

Inspiration photo time

Hello.
It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the photo below as inspiration.

Again, I used those fabulous distress oxide inks to create the night sky. To get the "stars" I put some picket fence paint into a mini mister and added some water to thin it down, then just misted it on. The tree stamps can be found HERE over at Repeat Impressions.

August Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

Hello. It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following Tic-Tac-Toe grid. Here is what I did.

I used Distress Oxide inks to create the background. The large dragonfly is stamped in versamark and then I used perfect pearls to give it shine. The smaller dragonflies are heat embossed with silver embossing powder. Dew drops added per the TTT grid.  The dragonflies can be found HERE over at Repeat Impressions.

Breathe in deeply

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch for this week. Also created my own background to go with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

I got the new Alcohol lift ink and played around with it today with Yupo paper and alcohol inks to create the background. I'm glad I got two ink pads because one of them is already covered in pink alcohol ink. You get so used to doing things a certain way and then you just don't "think" and reink a stamp and......well, you get it.

Leaf stamp is from Papertrey, Ink and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. Dragonfly die is from Memory Box.

Have a great weekend!
