Joy

Hello! Happy Leap Day. Playing in the Addicted to CAS challenge today of Symmetry.

I used the wreath die from Echo Park and cut several out of lighter green cardstock. I stacked them up and blued them together for more dimension. Then I used my Copic markers to add darker shadows and depth. Finished it off with adding just a few "berries" using red self adhesive pearls. Tied the bow using the Bow Easy. Stamped the joy sentiment in red and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

One card down for my Christmas stash! Thanks for stopping by.

Anything goes - happy birthday

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the ever popular Anything Goes.

As you can see, I took the solid tag stamp (5216-L) and added the leaf using a stencil. Absolutely loved how this turned out. Then got to playing around and created more using other stencils, which you might see at another time.

Burlap is from DCWV and cut down a bit to fit on the white card base. I used a craft knife to cut out the tag and then framed it with dark green cardstock. Thin white satin ribbon is colored with a Copic marker to match and used on the tag.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Thinking of you - Exciting news!

Hello! I have some exciting news! I've been asked to join the Design Team over at the Fusion Challenge blog. I'm so honored to be among these talented ladies! Here is the current challenge.

I used several elements for this card. I started with the sketch and then layered in the color combo's. I also like the shiplap and the vase of white orchids on the desk.

Sentiment is from Reverse Confetti and the flower die is from Simon Says Stamp. The shiplap background stamp is from Carta Bella.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge.

Inspiration photo challenge

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I used Ranger Distress Oxide inks to blend out the sky using the colors in the photo. I stamped the tree and grass in grey ink and then added some white pigment ink over the top to resemble snow. Then went back and added some white paint onto the tree using a white brush paint pen. I then hand drew the birds flying in the sky.  Light gray cardstock used as the base of the card.

February Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I used stenciling, shimmer and watercolors. It's hard to see the shimmer in the photo, but the back ground is pretty sparkly. Stencil is from Paper Smooches. I created the background using distress oxide inks and a lot of water. Then spritzed with shimmer mist. I also added some black splatters.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is designer choice challenge and it's Donna's call that we use Hearts.

I used Tumbling Hearts (1210-K) and stamped it using my misti on the upper half of a piece of cardstock. I did stamp it several time to get the red ink really saturated on the paper. The sentiment is computer generated.

Happy birthday to you

Hello. I've been out of town on business this last week and had no time to destress by stamping and making a card. However, as soon as I got home and saw this super cute CAS sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, I got busy.

Sentiment is from My Favorite Things and the washi tape is from Altenew called painted fantasy. It's one of the larger rolls of tape. It worked well with this sketch, as I just covered some cardstock with it then cut it out using a circle die.

Sparkle pink cardstock is from Hero Arts. I used the quilted dot embossing folder from Darice on the white panel behind the circle.

Thanks for stopping by.
