Sketch time - Just because

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following sketch graphic.

OK - full disclosure on this one - the black photo corner is covering up a major goof! The black nuvo drops were NOT quite dry and I ended up putting my thumb right in it - causing a major smear. So, I decided to cover it up instead of starting all over again. Pft. I hate it when that happens!

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Project of the week - alcohol inks

Hello. It's my turn over at The House That Stamps Built for project of the week. I played around with some alcohol inks and the lift ink to create these two cards.

I have two lift ink pads somewhere, but they are temporarily lost inside in a box, out in the garage from moving. So, I improvised with the reinker and made my own pad using cut and dry stamp pad felt. Worked like a charm.

I used glossy paper and purple, blue and pearl alcohol inks and randomly spread them across the paper. I also used some ink blending solution to move the inks around until I liked what I had. Then I inked up the Flower Power Frame (10202-Q) and stamped it on the purple background. Then stamp again onto another piece of cardstock.

I cut a circle out of the center for my Hello sentiment and inlayed it back in with coordinating cardstock. The outer panels are adhered to the card base with foam tape. I really like the clean and simple look of the top one.

Inspiration

Hi all. Playing in the TGIF challenge of gingham today.

Tulip stamp is from Stamps by Judith. I used Memento markers to color on the stamp and reactivated it by huffing. Did the same on the envelope.

The sentiment is an old wood mounted stamp that I've had in my stamp collection forever. It is not marked, so I have no idea who made it. Gingham paper is from A Muse Studio.

Thanks for stopping by.

You're one of a kind

Hello. It's raining outside, so perfect day to stay inside and make a few cards. Here is one I did for the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.

Flower bud is from the Simon Says Stamp delicate flowers set. I water colored it using Arteza water color markers. The sentiment is also from Simon Says Stamp. It's from the tiny sentiment set.  The pink polka dots are from a background stamp that I purchased from Stamp Camp at a rubber stamp show eons ago. Dew drops added to balance out the card.

Thanks for stopping in.

Welcome little one

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the ever popular anything goes.

I have had this little lamb colored and cut out for months and I'm just now getting around to using it. Thanks to fellow rock star, Heather, for the idea to use it as a baby card image. Colored with Copics. I used gray cardstock as a base and the layers. Yellow gingham is from A*Muse Studio.

Twofer - things with wheels

Hello! Playing in the Twofer challenge of things with wheels today.

The scooter is an old stamp set from The Angel Company that is no longer around. Colored with Copic's. I created a very subtle cloud back ground in the long tall sally card using my Picasso metal stencil and memento sky ink.  The road is a strip of black cardstock that I drew lines on with a white gel pen.

I kept both of these cards pretty clean and simple to send on to "guys" when the need arrises.

Thanks for dropping by.

You're invited

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

This inspiration photo reminded me of summer picnic's and lots of lemonade (minus the cucumbers). The sentiment is computer generated and I used a really cool tag die to cut it out. Attached it to the jar with some green gingham ribbon. Jar is colored with Copic's. I added the lemon's afterwards. I just used versamark and heat embossed them, then added more color. The lattice die in the background is from Jillian Vance.

All you need is love....

(and more coffee) Hello. Ok, I lied. I had time for one more coffee inspired card for the hop. Click the logo below to see the hop.

Time was running out, so I made this a quick one and left it clean and simple.  Stamps are from Technique Tuesday. Neenah solar white and pure poppy cardstock from PTI.

It's in the high 80's today in the PNW - unseasonably warm. Sure hope this isn't what summer is gonna be like. Whew!

I like big cups

Hi everyone. Here is my last card for the Spring/Summer coffee lovers blog hop.

This is a mini set from Technique Tuesday called sassy coffee. The set has some great sassy sentiments that will work for a lot of different coffee stamps in everyone stash! Check it out. I have no affiliation with TT, just love the set.

I kept this one super clean and simple to really play up this cheeky sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I used the newest alcohol pearl ink in intrigue and dandelion to create the background. I ended up adding more sparkle with a spritz of shimmer from imagine craft. Added faux stitching around the inside panel and the card base with dies.

Hello. Here is my second card for the Spring/Summer coffee lovers blog hop.

Kept this one clean and simple. Coffee cup stamps are from Sugar Pea, and the coffee word die as well. The sentiment and little hearts are from Wplus9. Colored with Copic's, fussy cut, and popped up with foam tape. The white stitched panel is also popped up with fun foam.

Have a great day!

Coffee time

Hello. Playing in the 2019 Spring and Summer Coffee lovers blog hop today.

The stamp is from Whipper Snapper. I stamped it in versafine and heat embossed so that I could color with Copic's. This turned into a 4 x 4 one layer card.  While I had my coffee themed stamps out, I ended up making another card that I will show tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping in.

Flower and the die to cut it out with are from Technique Tuesday. Colored with Copic's.  The back ground stripes were done with a stamp from the Stamp Market. Sentiment is from Avery Elle and the border die is from Pretty Pink Posh.

The weather outside is gorgeous, so I'm off to enjoy it for a couple of hours. Thanks for stopping by.

Designer Choice Challenge - One layer card

Hi all!

It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Shirley's Designer Choice Challenge and she wants to see a one layer card.

I stamped the balloons in pigment sugar and pink lemonade from Fresh Ink. Added some white highlights using a white gel pen. I drew my own strings using a fine tip black pen and then added the black bow which is made out of scrappers floss. Sentiment is from the Holy Crap unmounted set.
