May it never be...

Hello - playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #474 this evening.

I changed up where the sentiment went because the image was on the small side. Colored with Copic's. I added some score marks on the kraft cardstock to go with the roll....hopefully you can see them in the photo. Just a little tough in cheek humor this evening.

Stamps by Stampendous from the Survived 2020 set.

Washi thanks!

Hello. Last minute make for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

I used washi tape (4.5 inch sized roll) to create the middle band, then cut it to fit. Washi tape is from Altenew.  Thanks! sentiment is from Hero Arts.  Pierced dies are from My Favorite Things.  Both panels are popped up using fun foam.  I resisted adding any embellishments onto this, as I felt it would take away from that gorgeous washi.

Thanks for stopping in.

Get it in gear

Hello. Playing around and created a steampunk hat out of the Colorado Craft Company's Frosty's hat stamp set.

I stamped the hat with versafine ink and heat embossed it with clear. Did a quick layer of black copic marker to get a base on to the hat. Came back with some black soot distress ink and added that with a blending brush. Highlighted areas with Hero arts unicorn white ink.  The band is Peacock feathers oxide ink - I used a paint brush to apply and then came back with the white pigment ink to highlight.

The gear border dies are cut out of metallic paper in silver and holographic, then I used black alcohol ink to darken them. Once dry I sanded them down with a sanding block. Then added some brass/gold metallic rub-ons to grunge them up at bit more. Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. Black clair ink is heat embossed over gold cardstock (cheap stuff from Joann's Parklane line) and the heat of my wagner heat tool turned it a cool color.

Tim Holtz 3D gear embossing folder used in the background. Distress inks in antique linen and vintage photo used to grunge it up.

This turned out to be a really fun card to make - by the way it's a 5 x 7 card due to the size of the hat.

Wishing you rainbows, unicorns and glitter

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I used the sketch and the colors in her dress - but what really caught my eye was her unicorn ears and horn. So stinkin cute!

Stamps is from My Favorite Things and colored with Copic's. I dug out my airbrush and used it with the cloud stencil from a colorful life designs to do the sky.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Feel better soon

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Get Well.

I used the tag stamp and pigment ink plus a stencil to create this tag. Sentiment is heat embossed. Mesh border die is from Cheery Lynn Designs. I added a skinny strip of paper on each side to add more interest to it.

Sending happy thoughts

Hello. There is a new challenge over at Try Stamping on Tuesday.

This is my version of the bleaching technique, since after three unsuccessful tries, I gave up using bleach. White unicorn ink to the rescue. Butterfly stamp is from Megenta. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Dragonfly impressions

Hello, It's my turn to do a project of the week over at The House That Stamps Built. I used several layers of liquid platinum embossing powder and the small dragonflies to create this impression.

I covered a rectangle piece of cardstock with versamark and applied the embossing powder, heated it up to melt and then repeated 3 times. Arranged the dragonflies onto my block and coated them with versamark and while the last layer is still a bit hot, pressed them down. Being very careful not to move it too much.

I also added the dragonflies and the set of Keys to the background designer paper using versamark ink. Distressed it with vintage photo around the edges. The sentiment is stamped on the same designer paper and then I added some glossy accents to the top of it and stuck a tag fragment on to it. Once dry, trimmed the paper to match the tag and threaded some twine through it.

I really like how much dimension this ended up having.

Congratulations

Hi all - Snow day here. I've got about 12 inches on the ground and stuck in the house. So, decided to play in the latest Mojo Monday sketch #553. It's supposed to be a mini slim line edition, but I made mine the traditional size.

Flower and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp. I heat embossed the flower onto watercolor paper using detail white from Ranger. Watercolored it using Tombow markers.  Pink designer paper is from Papertrey, Ink.

Thanks for stopping by - onto the next project, since it's better than shoveling snow!

Thanks

Hi there from the snowy pacific northwest. Since it's a snow day (sort of) I decided to play with the Tuesday Morning Sketch #592.

Eucalyptus stamps and dies are from The Ton.  The thanks sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I used Rubbernecker fuse inks set #9 to stamp everything in.

Washi tape is from Hobby Lobby (the paper studio) in "that" eucalyptus design.  Candy dots are from Doodlebug Designs and I colored a length of seam binding with the BG11 copic marker to match.

Totally fun sketch to use up some washi tape or scrap papers with. Check it out!

Love you

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Love.

I played around with a few dies to create both of these cards. Background was created using Victorian velvet distress ink. I also used a pierced cover plate die from the Stamp Market to create the texture. The love U and hugs candy hearts were heat embossed using white detail embossing powder and fussy cut. Honey bee dew drops used here and there for embellishments.

Love you

Hi there - Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch

No stamping on this - gasp! Designer paper and cardstock base is from PTI. Hydrangea flower dies and the You die are from Simon Says Stamp. I bought the love lemon alpha beads at my LSS before they took a sabbatical, and used them for the centers of the flowers to spell out the love sentiment.  The you is stacked three times. It drives me crazy that I can't get it perfectly lined up sometimes. UGH!

Thanks for stopping in and have creative day!

Designer Choice Challenge - Hello

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is a Designer Choice Challenge and it's my turn. I would like you to use the following photo as your jumping off point to create a card.  Hope it inspires you.

I used speckled egg distress oxide ink on the top of the card. I applied it direct to paper to match the door on the photo. I liked the ghost of the wreath on the door and added that. I created a bit of shiplap on the bottom of my card using a barn wood planks die from Honey Bee stamps. Martha Stewart punch used for the little flowers and the wreath.  Hello and the keys are stamps from Repeat Impressions.

The butterfly charm is covering up a "goof" that occurred when I was finishing off this card. Oil from my fingers or some such thing left a darker blob. Instead of starting over, I just covered it up. And yes, those are brads that I used across the top of the shiplap. Had to dig deep into my stash for those. LOL.

Love you

Hello! I'm excited to say that I have been chosen to be on the design team for Try Stamping On Tuesdays. Here is the first sketch and my card for this challenge.

I followed this first one to a T, because it worked well for Valentines day for me. The love you sentiment is from Memory Box stamps and the heart die is from Pink and Main. The designer paper is from Sugar Pea and the pink self adhesive candy dots are from Gina Marie Designs.

Thanks for stopping by.
