Yappy Birthday

Hi. I'm playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.  I love that it's a clean and simple sketch.

The dog stamp is an old one from Close to My Heart. I colored her with Copic markers and then fussy cut her out.  I did pop it up using foam squares for a bit of dimension.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.  I also used round and rectangle dot stitch dies from Jillian Vance Designs on this.

Thanks for stopping by.

Spread kindness

Hello. It's a D for Dragonfly over at the Alphabet challenge blog.  Thought I'd play along today since dragonflies are my favorite.

The dragonfly die is from The Greetery. I used an alcohol background that I had in my stash to cut up the wings. The spread kindness sentiment is from Mama Elephant. I've already forgotten who makes the lovely 3D embossing folder. Anyway, I highlighted the flowers using some pan pastels.

Entering this into the following other challenges:

Hello darling

Hi all - Playing in The Paper Players clean and simple challenge of anything with wheels today.

The stamp is from Stamping Bella and is colored with Copic's. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant. While looking in my sentiments for something that would go with this image, (besides the one that comes with the set) I came across the one I used. In my mind, she has a Parisian accent. LOL.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy everything

Hi all - playing in The Flower Challenge #73 of adding a sentiment. Happy 6th Birthday to the challenge.

I did a loose watercolor technique with this one. The background stamp is from Simon Says Stamp and the sentiment is from Mama Elephant.

I hand drew in the flower center and then splattered on some back paint. I had fun with this, even though I still need to practice the technique at bit.

Thanks for stopping by.

Get well soon

Hello. Playing in the Addicted to CAS challenge of nature today.

I picked up the skeleton leaves dies from momenta on clearance at Hobby Lobby. Cut them out using kraft cardstock and spritzed them with the new Tim Holtz Mica spays.

Get well sentiment is from Mama Elephant and I used a embossing folder from Quickkutz on the white panel in the background.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Spread Kindness

Hello. Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #484 today.

Sentiment is from Mama Elephant. Leaf is cut out three times and stacked. I've had the green striped designer paper in my stash forever and put it to good use on this. Twine from PTI is tied in a bow to complete the card.  This ended up being a top folding card.

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day.

You're the best

Hey there. Here is my take on several challenges today.  I started with the Tag You're it Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and then added the color teal (Less is More) and some Geometric shapes for Just Us Girls.

Tag and sentiment die is from Mama Elephant.

I used some Yupo paper and created the teal back ground using alcohol inks and bit of bubble wrap. The cool diamond distressed die is from Memory Box.

I used a bit of black to layer the tag and add the bow at the top so that it would stand out a bit more. It sort of got lost without it on the white card base.

Sentiment is from Hero Arts. I bent the clear mount stamp to try and fit it into the die as best I could. It took a few tries using the Stampoholic, but I finally got one to work.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by.

Blog Anniversary and a giveaway

Hi everyone! It's my 10th blogging anniversary and to celebrate I'm doing some blog candy.

I started my blog today 10 years ago and since it's Christmas time, I thought I'd start off with showing you a clean and simple card. Stamp is from Mama Elephant. I stamped it using my Nano and then heat embossed it. I'm loving the fact that this can be mass produced.  However, I generally tend to make different cards for different people on my list.

OK, on to the giveaway...........

Here is what is up for grabs. All you have to do is become a follower and you get two additional entries into the drawing if you upload your favorite Christmas card you made this year.

Winner will be randomly drawn and this is only good for folks living within the US.

Good luck and I hope you join me, link and contest will close on 12/31/16.

A birthday hello

Hi everyone. Here's my card for the CAS(e) this sketch challenge this week. So many possibilities with this one!

I used Fresh inks to stamp the flowers from Mama Elephant's brushed florals set.

The hello is cut out of black foam using the die that goes with the set from W Plus 9. I wanted to add some dimension so that it would stand out and the foam was just the ticket.

Added a strip of silver foil using red liner tape and Minc foil from Heidi Swapp. Love the added bling it brings to the card.

It's kind of hard to see in the picture, but this is a top folding card for a change.

That's it for today - thanks for dropping by!

from the gang!

Hi everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. Also paired it with the SSS let's get sentimental challenge.

Stamps are from Mama Elephant. I stamped the gang in Versafine and then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. Copic's used to color. I'm looking at this while I'm typing and coming to the conclusion that I need to find a good Copic combo for blonde and red hair. Not liking my choices. Oh well, it is what it is.

Green cardstock is from Bazzill smoothie line and the polka dots are from PTI.  Both the white panel in back and the gang are popped up for dimension using foam tape.

That's it for today! Thanks for popping by! If you have a good combo for red or blonde hair, please leave me a comment.

Ombre thanks

Hello everyone! Here is my take on the CAS.ology cue card of Ombre.

I due cut the word Thanks from WPlus9 and left it in the cardstock. I used some post it note tape to mask it off so that I could ink it up in several shades of blue ink from Colorbox.  The stamped sentiment is also from WPlus9.

The tag die is from Mama Elephant and is layered with a dark navy cardstock from Bazzill smoothies. Used the largest die from Lil' Inkers to apply the stitching around the card base.

Lastly, I took a piece of white satin ribbon and used B93, B95 and B97 Copic markers to create an ombre effect on it. Tied it on with some white scrappers floss.

The challenge over at Simon Says Stamp is clean and simple and this is definitely that.

Thanks for stopping in to take a look see.

Happy Everything

Happy New Year! To start things off in 2015 I think I'll play around with Darnell's NBUS challenge since I got so many nice crafting supplies for Christmas.

Stamps are from Mama Elephant as is the happy die. The white panel and the sentiment panel is from the newest blueprints from My Favorite Things and the tag die is a NBUS from Paper Smooches.

Designer paper is from Recollections and the blue cardstock that I used as the base of the card and the happy die cut is from Paper Pizazz.

White satin ribbon colored with Copic's to match (sort of) the dp. Bakers twine used to tie the bow.

Also never before used is the adhesive used to adhere the happy die cut. It's called "Stick it" and you attach it to your cardstock before die cutting, then peel off the backing and stick it down. Genius!

Adding this to Simon Says Stamp anything goes challenge too!
