Hello - SSC362

Hi everyone. It's time for a new challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  This time we have a sketch from Melissa to try.

I used an alcohol ink background that I had in my stash to create the card using the sketch.  As you can see, I did some ink lifting, which left those wonderful ghost leaves in the background.  The die cut sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  Here is the sketch.

Joy - TFC98

Hello! There is a new challenge up over at The Flower challenge. We are looking for you to add some sparkle to your flower creations.

I used the Joy die from Penny Black as an anchor for this holographic poinsettia. I colored the silver paper using alcohol inks. In real life, it really sparkles.  The background is embossed with snow embossing powder through a snow stencil.

Enjoy your day - SSC341

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the inspiration color prompt photo.

I got out my alcohol inks and dropped a bunch of colors that matched the photo below onto a piece of hardboard. Then used alcohol lift ink to create the side panel using a sun stamp from Inkadinkado. I got a little creative using the sun as sea anemones.  The sentiment stamp is from Poppy Stamps.

Just a note - ink lifting

Hello. It's my turn to do a Pick of the Week project and I'm revisiting one I did a while ago on alcohol ink lifting. I had saved one of the backgrounds that I created previously and put it to use for this weeks card.

You never know when one of the background you create when your having fun will end up working on a new project.  I added some Nuvou black drops for the centers of the flowers. The small butterfly die from Memory Box worked well for the center of the flower vine.  Just a note stamped and heat embossed with inks that match the alcohol inks. Finally, I spritzed this with some sparkle shimmer spritz. I can't believe it actually shows up in the photos.

That's it for now. Join us on Wednesday for our Black and White challenge.
Thanks,

You rock my world

Hello. Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #480 challenge.

The heart beat border die is an old one from Paper Smooches. The "you" and the rock my world sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp.

The background has been sitting in my unused card bits for a while. It's yupo paper and alcohol inks through a stencil.  The doily stencil has a heart in the middle, so I thought it go good fit right in with the heart beat die and sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Oodles of Doodles challenge

Hello. Playing in the Monday Simon Says Stamp Oodles of Doodles challenge. I used a back ground that I had previously created in a spurt of playing with alcohol and alloy inks.

I used a bunch of different stamps from a few companies and then added some doodles using a black Zig millennium pen.

The Believe stamp is Gina K, the dragonfly is Poppy stamps, the clock is Tim Holtz and the border stamp is from Hot off the Press. I heat embossed the clock and the border, then used some steel wool to un-shine them both.

On the dragonfly, I doodled in some stripes using a gold glitter pen in it's wings. This was a super fun challenge.  Have a great day!

Above is the panel I lifted the ink from using the Natures Wonder stamp set from SA/Tim Holtz.  Sympathy sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.  I used a dark green cardstock from MFT to layer the panels on the card.

Thanks for stopping in. Take care.

Project of the week - alcohol inks

Hello. It's my turn over at The House That Stamps Built for project of the week. I played around with some alcohol inks and the lift ink to create these two cards.

I have two lift ink pads somewhere, but they are temporarily lost inside in a box, out in the garage from moving. So, I improvised with the reinker and made my own pad using cut and dry stamp pad felt. Worked like a charm.

I used glossy paper and purple, blue and pearl alcohol inks and randomly spread them across the paper. I also used some ink blending solution to move the inks around until I liked what I had. Then I inked up the Flower Power Frame (10202-Q) and stamped it on the purple background. Then stamp again onto another piece of cardstock.

I cut a circle out of the center for my Hello sentiment and inlayed it back in with coordinating cardstock. The outer panels are adhered to the card base with foam tape. I really like the clean and simple look of the top one.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Holiday Blessings

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge today. The background I created was CASed from a video that Memory box did for their new Holiday release.

It's done using Yupo paper, alcohol inks and plastic wrap.  Fun technique.

I combined two of the new holiday Memory Box dies to create this. The outside is from the holiday lamp post frame die and the inner circle is from the pinpoint snowflake circle frame die. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
