Miss you

Hello. Playing in the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players today.

The galaxy background was created on black watercolor paper using pigment ink re-inkers from Fresh ink. I layered it onto some silver cardstock from TH Idea-ology.

The super cute space boy is from Gerda Steiner Designs and he is colored with Copic markers. I did pop him up using foam tape for dimension. I almost used a few action wobblers on him, but they really made him stick out and I didn't have a smaller version for the flag. But overall, I think it came out pretty cute.

happy birthday

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays.

Plaid background was created using reinkers from Fresh ink, which is a pigment ink. Took forever to dry. Added the plaid background stamp and then used my corner rounder to round off the right hand side of the panel.  The stamp market plaid pinpoint cover die used on the light blue panel worked well with the stamped one in the background. Birthday sentiment is from Avery Elle.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

You're one of a kind

Hello. I'm excited to announce that I have joined the Less is More design team. Here is the current challenge.

Flower stamp is from Reverse Confetti. I stamped it in Sugar pink ink from Fresh Ink, added some highlights with a Copic marker (which you can really see) then let it dry. Added the gold embossing (Hero Arts) for the dot details on the flower petals and the sentiment. Added one center gold pearl and framed it up with gold mirror cardstock.

Check out the rest of the design teams creations here. Less is More

Birthday wishes

Hello -
Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge with this masculine card.

Tool 3D embossing folder is from Memory Box as is the plaid designer paper. Big birthday stamp is from Honey Bee and stamped in fresh pigment ink in capri blue to match the blue in the plaid.  The "wishes" is stamp from Memory Box.

I needed to restock my stash of masculine birthday cards and this sketch works really well for them.

Season's Greetings

Hello - Playing in a new challenge over at Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.

The tag was stamped with a very old Memory Box stamp set in gypsy blue pigment ink (sentiment too).  I also used the same ink to color the wooden snowflake embellishment that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.  The designer paper is also from Memory Box that I have been hoarding forever.

Stitched tag and sentiment dies are from MFT.

Sunshine birthday flowers

Hello. It's my turn to do a project of the week. I came up with a sunny happy birthday card where the sentiment stands out.

I randomly stamped a bunch of daisies onto a piece of white cardstock using pigment inks in bright yellow and canary. Once dry, I cut out the birthday sentiment and then added it back in using mini foam tape squares.  The sentiment dies are from The Ton.

Have a wonderful day!

With sympathy

Hello. Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch challenge.

Rubbernecker vine background stamp is used on the square in the back. Stamped with Basil fresh ink. Daisy dies are from Memory Box and the sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Card is 4.5 square and I used gumdrop green cardstock from MFT for the leaves and to layer the vine panel. I tied on a little bow using some twine from PTI.

Thanks for dropping in. Have a good one.

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Get Well.

Flowers

Hello. Playing in a couple of challenges today both centering around flowers.

I started off with Bristol smooth cardstock, versamark ink and Ranger Fine white embossing powder and stamped the Peonies and leaves. They are from Sunny Studio. I colored them with Fuse Ink from Rubbernecker using makeup blending brushes. Love how soft they came out. The striped back ground stamp is from Echo Park. The fishtail banner stripes are white heat embossed first, then sponged on blue pigment ink from Fresh ink, the pink ink on the stripes is also from Fresh ink.

Sentiments are from The Ton. I used my brother scan n cut to create a black outline layer for the sympathy sentiment.

Entering these into the following challenges:

just waving hello

Hi there. Playing in the CASe this sketch challenge today.

Paint stripe stamp is from Paper Smooches called positive strokes 2. The boy and girl and the sentiment are from Waffle Flower.  I used pigment ink from Fresh Ink to stamp the paint stripes in.

Thought this was a fun card in these trying times, however, they are not practicing the 6 foot rule, but cute never the less.

Stay safe out there and thanks for stopping by.

Pick of the week - masking

Hi everyone. Laurie here and it's my turn to do a pick of the week. I'm doing a bit of masking using a favorite flower power separate to create this clean and simple card.

I used some removable labeling tape to mask off the area I wanted to stamp. Then I used a T ruler and hand drew lines across the top and bottom. Added a bit of sparkle to the center of the flowers using a wink of stella pen. Layered it with black cardstock and then added it to a white cared base.

Kept the sentiment simple with "just because" to use for any occasion.

Birthday Balloon

Hi there. Playing in the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches today.  I turned it on it's side and turned it into a balloon.

Die, stamp and green cardstock are all from My Favorite Things. The twine is from Lawn Fawn, recycled from the packaging they send you when you order from them.

I used fresh ink in mojito to stamp the birthday sentiment and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Kept this one clean and simple to use in my masculine card stash. Thanks for stopping by.

One layer card - winter flora

Hi there. Playing in the Less is More one layer challenge of winter flora today.

OMG - this card gave me fits. Have you ever made a card like 5 times before you got it right? UGH! I swear that sentiment was just not happening for me today. I finally got it right (it's from a Simon Says Stamp set, btw) and then I was cleaning it off of my misti and now the "holiday" part is missing in action. It is embossed with gold embossing powder from Hero Arts.

The fir branch is probably one of my oldest and most favorite stamps ever. It's from Great Impressions and it's so well loved/used that the wood block is green. =)

OK - I think I'm done for the day. Everything I touch is thrown in the trash bin because it's not straight or some other reason. Calgon take me away!

Thanks for stopping by!

Just a note

Hello-
Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

Flower stamps are from Impress. I used Fresh ink, which is a pigment ink to stamp the flowers and leaves. The center is stamped in versafine.

I changed up the oval to a rectangle to fit my die cut sentiment.
