Trick or treat mummy

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays.  The optional theme this time is "spooky."

The mummy stamp is from Raisin Boat (no longer in business). I also did a bit of stenciling with the bats (Echo park) and used some of that wonderful black opaque texture paste from Tim Holtz and Ranger.  I used a bit of white seam binding to match the mummy.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Poinsettia's and patterned paper

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This month we are focusing on Christmas and our option this week is to use patterned paper.

My patterned paper is from last year's Tim Holtz collection. I stamped the poinsettia's, colored with copic's and then fussy cut them out. Used the same marker on the seam binding for the tag.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Dragonfly birthday

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Anything goes.

Did a bit of ink blending over heat embossed dragonflies.  Added the plaid cover die (Altenew) over the top of it and attached the Happy Birthday tag with a bit of seam binding. Quick and easy.

Thanks

Hi there from the snowy pacific northwest. Since it's a snow day (sort of) I decided to play with the Tuesday Morning Sketch #592.

Eucalyptus stamps and dies are from The Ton.  The thanks sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I used Rubbernecker fuse inks set #9 to stamp everything in.

Washi tape is from Hobby Lobby (the paper studio) in "that" eucalyptus design.  Candy dots are from Doodlebug Designs and I colored a length of seam binding with the BG11 copic marker to match.

Totally fun sketch to use up some washi tape or scrap papers with. Check it out!

Merry Christmas tag

Hello. Decided to play in the Christmas Tag Monday Simon Says Stamp challenge. I had already stamped the new Holiday floral stamp onto water color paper and heat embossed it with white detail embossing powder. However, the embossing powder flubbed up a bit in a section. So, I decided to cut it down into a tag to play in the challenge.

You can see in the top left hand corner the smudge of embossing powder on the leaf of the poinsettia. I used Daniel Smith water colors on this - I had purchased a swatch of basic colors at my LSS. That is now in the trash, as I spilled water all over it and all the colors bled into one another. Bummer! I finished off the blue by using a Tombow marker.

I splatted this with white gouache paint that has been watered down and then spritzed it with shimmer spritz. In real life it sparkles and is really pretty.  Seam binding is colored with Copic's for the bow at the top of the tag.  Tag die is from MFT Stamps.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Anything goes - feel better soon!

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the ever popular Anything Goes.

I used a bit of washi tape on this one. Seam binding is died to match colors. Copic's used to color the flower. Fabrika Decoru used on the centers of the flowers. Tag die cut tied on with twine.

Ornament Angel

Hi everyone! Here's my take on the CAS(e) this sketch challenge this week!

Image is a digi from Saturated Canary by Krista Smith. Printed on X-press it paper and colored with Copic markers.

Designer paper is from the Winter Magic matstack from DCWV. The pink ribbon (seam binding) and bow were tinted pink using Distress dye inks.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
