Wreath cards

Hello. Made a few Holiday cards using this lovely die from Lawn Fawn.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and heat embossed in gold. I used light and dark green cardstock and switched up the orders to get two for one, if you will. I also added a bit of sparkle on the berries with a bit of a wink of Stella.

Entering these into the following challenges.

Ink blended snowflakes

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This month our challenge is Christmas and this week we our option is: To use one of your favorite techniques. I chose to do some ink blending and resist on this card.

I also used a cover die to cut this apart and put it back together again. The die is from Papetrey, Ink. Distress inks and blending brushed used for the background. I heat embossed the snowflakes so that they would resist the ink.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Happy Christmas

Hi all. Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #504 today.  Went a little rustic on this slimline Christmas card.

I made an online purchase from a stamp company and they wrapped up my purchase in this gingham paper. It was actually a bag, but I cut it apart and used it on this cad. Sentiment is from Impress cards and crafts and I embossed it in Ranger liquid platinum embossing powder. Most of the dies used for the greenery are from Echo Park/Carta Bella. Doodlebug designs made the dark red candy dots that I used for the holly berries.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking of you

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is to some sparkle and shine.

I've had this circle stenciled panel sitting in my unused card bits since the last time we did a circle challenge. Well, decided to put it to use on this. I stenciled and then used platinum embossing powder on the dots then came back and embossed a strip of sookwang tape using the same powder. I also decided to do the same around the perimeter of the circle die cut. This made for a lot of shine and dimension.

Dragonfly impressions

Hello, It's my turn to do a project of the week over at The House That Stamps Built. I used several layers of liquid platinum embossing powder and the small dragonflies to create this impression.

I covered a rectangle piece of cardstock with versamark and applied the embossing powder, heated it up to melt and then repeated 3 times. Arranged the dragonflies onto my block and coated them with versamark and while the last layer is still a bit hot, pressed them down. Being very careful not to move it too much.

I also added the dragonflies and the set of Keys to the background designer paper using versamark ink. Distressed it with vintage photo around the edges. The sentiment is stamped on the same designer paper and then I added some glossy accents to the top of it and stuck a tag fragment on to it. Once dry, trimmed the paper to match the tag and threaded some twine through it.

I really like how much dimension this ended up having.

Camellia on kraft

Good Morning. Playing in the Inspirational challenge of using kraft today.

I stamped the Camellia with Versamark then heat embossed with fine detail white embossing powder from Ranger. Then colored up this beauty with Prismacolor pencils. All stamps from Technique Tuesdays Greenhouse Society, but sadly it has been retired.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for dropping by.

White poinsettia

Hello. I created this for the Wednesday SSS challenge of snow white and then The Paper Players came out with their challenge today of white on white.

Merry Christmas sentiment is from Hero Arts and is embossed using Ranger's platinum embossing powder.

I used a bunch of different dies for this. Poinsettia die comes in three sizes. I glued them together and then added yellow centers using Fabrika Decoru . I did one at a time and let dry because otherwise they run together and create a big blob.

MFT stitched square frame used to highlight the quadrafoil square in the back.

My apologies for the dark photo. I used my work digital camera and I'm still trying to learn how to work it to take good photos of my cards.  Thanks for stopping by.

Holiday pines

Hello. Playing in The Paper Players theme challenge today. The theme is Holiday Pines.

I have had this pine branch stamp for years and it's one of my favorites. It's from Great Impressions and I used Palette ink in Jardin Moss to stamp the pines along the bottom.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from KaiserCraft. I stamped it in versamark and heat embossed it with platinum embossing powder from Ranger. I repeated it several times to smooth it out.

Attached the white panel onto a deep green card base and decided to not embellish. The only thing I did is highlight the spots with a stardust gel pen. Very clean and simple.

Thanks for dropping by!
