Congratulations

Hi all - Snow day here. I've got about 12 inches on the ground and stuck in the house. So, decided to play in the latest Mojo Monday sketch #553. It's supposed to be a mini slim line edition, but I made mine the traditional size.

Flower and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp. I heat embossed the flower onto watercolor paper using detail white from Ranger. Watercolored it using Tombow markers.  Pink designer paper is from Papertrey, Ink.

Thanks for stopping by - onto the next project, since it's better than shoveling snow!

Happy Birthday

Hi. I made this card earlier this week and I'm now just getting around to posting. I started off with this past Mojo Monday sketch and added my favorite flower for The Flower Challenge.

Peony stamp is from the peony bouquet set from Altenew. I used Fresh pigment ink for the layers. The background stamps if from Simon Says Stamp called pretty peonies. I stamped it in the same sugar fresh ink color as the main peony. (you might need to enlarge the photo to see) The lattice panel is a die from Jillian Vance Designs. I cut it out three times, stacked and glued it together and cut it down to size.

That's it for now - thanks for stopping in.

Thank you

Hello all. Playing in the Mojo Monday challenge today.

Flower stamp is from The Stamp Market, called painted peony. I stamped it in Hero Arts mini ink cubes in shades of pink.  Designer paper is from Park Lane. The tiny sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp. Lastly, the pierced border die is from My Favorite Things.

We are unthawing from #Snonmaggedon today, so I'm a happy girl! Have a great day!

A birthday hello

Well, I haven't played with a Mojo Monday sketch in ages but this one really caught my eye. It has the right mix to be done up in a really striking clean and simple design.

Peony stamp is from Altenew and stamped with a mixture of pink inks.

Hello die and sentiment is from WPlus9. I added a soft shade of pink behind the white panel after adding the piercing double stitch border. I felt the border just adds that extra detail to keep the card visually interesting.

Black and pink are such a classic color combo that I love to use quite frequently in card making.

That's it for today - thanks for popping by!

Mojo 379 - Birthday blessings

Hi everyone! I decided to give this weeks Mojo Monday a try and here are the results.

All stamps are from Verve. I colored the cupcake with Copic's and now I want a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting! I'm arguing that the yellow around the bottom of the cupcake is the paper.

Designer paper is from Authentique. I used a few more of the pony beads that I melted down. The white/ivory ones kind of have a yellow tinge to it, so they worked well on the yellow designer paper. The black ones are a little bit smaller and work well in the top right hand corner. I found when melting the beads that you can adjust the size by the amount of time spent in the oven. The only this I hate, is trying to get them glued on. I prefer the self adhesive ones, still.

Bow is tied with the Bow Easy. I manipulated the bow ends so that they would lay flat on top of the strip using clear glue squares.

OK, off to clean up now. Thanks for stopping by!

It's the most wonderful

Hello! Whipped this one up to go along with the weeks Mojo Monday Sketch!

Mitten and sentiment stamps are from Verve. I stamped the mittens in Versafine ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. Then colored with the R29 Copic marker. I stamped the snowflakes onto the mittens using white craft ink and a small snowflake stamp from my Christmas stamp stash.

Added some tiny black and white pearls from Recollections to the center of the snowflake and next to the sentiment to add some interest.

Designer paper is from Paper Pizazz that I have had in my stash forever! Went with a black border as I couldn't find any darker red that went with the colors in the dp. I added the black circle border at the last minute, and I'm glad I did. It just ties everything together!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo Blue Birthday

Hi everyone. I decided to give this weeks Mojo Monday 366 sketch a whirl. Here's what I did with it.

Stamps are from Verve. I initially used a light blue ink to stamp the bluebells, however they really didn't show up like I wanted. Ended up taking a darker blue prismacolor pencil to add some highlights.

Designer paper is from Michael's Reflection line.

Off to see what else I can create! Thanks for stopping in.

Mojo #364 - Happy Halloween

Hey everyone! I had this bat already colored up and it looked like it might work with today's Mojo Monday sketch!

It's a tight fit, but I made it work!

Bat is a stamp from Paper Smooches that is colored with Copic's. The sentiment is from Alota stamps that I manipulated into two to fit this sketch. Thank goodness for washi tape. It covered the words while inking each word to stamp separately.

Candy designer paper is from DCWV from a few years ago. It was in my Halloween paper stash and worked great for this sketch.

Lastly, I added some googly eyes to the corners just for fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cupcakes and wine

Hello! I hope this finds everyone doing well. I'm sweating it out in 94 degree heat (hotter in the upstairs studio) without air conditioning. Thank goodness its supposed to rain the next few days! We need it!

Here is my take on today's Mojo Monday Sketch.

Stamp is from Stamping Bella - Uptown Girls Felicity and Blair. They are colored with Copic's and I also added a bit of pink glitter to the frosting on the cupcakes.

Designer paper is from Reflections and Lasting Impressions. Decided to go with rick rack instead of scallops as the sketch called for.

Happy Birthday sentiment is from PTI and the fishtail banner die used to cut it out is from MFT. White rose is a dollar bin find at Michaels and the leaf is punched in green using the punch from Martha Stewart crafts.

That's all for today! Thanks for popping in!

Beach scene

Hi everyone! I decided to play around with this Monday's Mojo Sketch and pair it with the Beach challenge over at The Paper Players. Here is what I ended up with.

It took me a few tries to get my mojo going on this one.

Dock and bird stamps are from Gina K Designs.

I made the sand using Versamagic wheat ink and a dauber. The water is done using a dauber with blue inks from Fresh ink and colorbox. White foam for the waves was done using a stylus and Copic opaque white paint.

Sky is also daubered on with Memento sky ink using my Picaso metal stencil. The stencil has several areas that I use pretty often, the circle and the clouds get the most use tho.

Lastly, I added the shadows in the water using a black Prismacolor pencil. The starfish is from TAC and fussy cut out and popped onto the corner using some foam tape.

Ok, that's it for me today! Thanks for popping in!

Mojo #346 - you're on my mind

Hi everyone! I found time yesterday to make a card with the recent Mojo Monday sketch.

I had already colored this fun image from Stamping Bella with Copic's and it has been sitting in my "to make" pile for a while. So I put her to use with this weeks sketch.

Sentiment is from Verve and I used the mini flowers from the Tag-its #5 set from PTI to create the flowers on the fishtail banners. Memento markers used to color the flower stamps.

Polka dot basic's used on the navy panel with white craft ink.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in.

Mojo344 - Birthday wishes

Hi everyone! Here is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday #344. I'm also playing in the Verve Diva Dare which is to have petals and wings on your card.

All stamps are from Verve. Flowers are colored with Copic markers and then I used the picket fence white distress marker to go over the centers to brighten it up. I like the effect it gave the flowers.

Yes, my butterfly stands out a bit and it's also colored with copics. I fussy cut it out and then added the antena back on using craft wire.

Designer paper is from Fancy Pants and I used some cording to make the flag pole. White and black cardstock is from PTI.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo #333 - Where flowers bloom

Hi all! It's late Friday night and I'm now just getting around to playing with this weeks Mojo sketch. Better late than never?

Flower stamp is from A*Muse Studio and colored with Memento markers then huffed on. I added some black dot with a Multi liner pen to give it a bit of definition.

Sentiment is from Verve and that yummy pink, green and brown designer paper is from Memory Box.  Brown and pink cardstock is from Hot Off The Press.

I colored the satin ribbon using a copic that was close in color to the Memento marker. Turned out pretty close.

That's it for now - more tomorrow when I get to relax a bit and get inky! Thanks for stopping in.
