Talk nerdy to me

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

Background stamp is from the Greetery. I stamped it on bristol smooth and heat embossed it with white. The used blueprint sketch distress ink to color it. The sentiment is from My Favorite things.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I went with the top row across.  The white dragonflies are stenciled on with embossing paste to create some dimension. The whole panel was spritzed with sparkle spray and is really cool in real life. Oxide inks used to layer on the color. Frame dies are from Honey Bee.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

Tic-Tac-Toe challenge - thinking of you

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I used the bottom row to create this "thinking of you" card.

I used distress oxide ink to blend on some color to a piece of bristol cardstock. Then when dry, I stamped the flowers out. Fussy cut them out and added self adhesive pearls to the centers. Cut out some leaves and a few grapevine twisties to add to the bouquet. The quilted die is from Avery Elle. Added the cute little twine bow per the TTT board, which I almost forgot and had to add in at the last minute! (See Heather, you are not alone in that. LOL)

CAS birthday

Hi all - playing in a color challenge today. Less is More is ringing out the old and ringing in the new with the 2019 Pantone color, which was Living Coral, and the 2020 Pantone color which is True Blue. Here is what I did with it.

I used abandoned coral and sponged on the band of color onto a piece of Bristol paper. Cut out the happy birthday die (Simon Says Stamp) using blue cardstock. Decided to frame it with thin strips of the same cardstock so it would stand out a bit more.

Fabulous Birthday

Hi all - Playing in a couple of challenges today. I started with the sketch from CAS(e) this sketch, but turned it on it's side. I also paired it with the Addicted to CAS code word Trees.

Background sunset and hills were created using Distress Oxide Inks. The tree border stamp is an old one from Memory Box. I stamped it in black and then traced the branches with a stardust gel pen. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Ice skates

Hello. Playing in the CAS colours and sketches challenge today. I turned this one on it's side.

Skates are a die from Gina Marie Designs.  The pine branch die is from Carta Bella and the berry branch, I have no idea who makes it. I used some thicker DMC red floss on the laces on the skates.

I used Distress Oxide inks in tumbled glass and faded jeans with a life changing brush on Bristol smoooth to create the soft background. Then I stenciled on some snowflakes with white home made stencil paste. I used Fabrika Decoru in poppy to add the berries onto the branches.

Sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Photo inspiration challenge

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

Here is what I came up with for this challenge. I went with the colors and the shapes of the pumpkins. I used distress oxide inks on Bristol paper after heat embossing the frame stamps found here, at Repeat Impressions. Vertical sentiment can be found here. I added the two dragonflies at the last to balance out the card. As you can see, the front panel is shorter than normal to account for the sentiment.

Sparkle inside and out

Hi all. Here's my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. I also added some bling for the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

Back ground is done with distress oxide ink in tumbled glass. I took the snowy scene cover die from Memory Box and a wet paper towel to create the soft snowflake outlines. Snowflakes die and sentiment are from Technique Tuesday. I used glitter paper and brushed silver cardstock to cut out the snowflakes. Once I got this all put together I misted it with sparkle shimmer spritz several times. In real life is sparkles, but it sure is hard to photograph.

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great weekend!

just a note to say ...hello

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I cut this fabulous flower cover die out using Bristol paper. I wanted to be able to smoothly add Distress Oxide inks that matches the inspiration photo above. Once that was done, I added the sentiment and a "hello" die cut. Of course, to finish this off, I had to add some bling to the flower centers. =)

Birthday balloons

Hello. Playing in a few challenges today.

Balloons are made using a stencil from Neat and Tangled and Ranger Distress inks. Balloon strings are drawn on using a stardust gelly pen.  Birthday sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. The little stars are from a package of sequins that I have in my stash. Green cardstock from MFT used as a card base. Kept this rather clean and simple to use as a masculine birthday card.

Ombre thanks

Hi everyone. I got a chance to play around a bit today with new stamps from Pretty Pink Posh. I paired it with the ombre challenge going on over at Addicted to CAS.

The colors of my cardstock appear to be off in the photo for some strange reason.

I used me new Arteza watercolor markers and did the smooch technique to create some cool water color effects on Bristol paper. Used the coordinating dies from PPP and cut them out.

I blended some wilted violet onto a piece of cardstock and then cut out the "thanks."  Stitched frame die from My Favorite Things.  Fabrika Decoru enamel used to create the dots.
