Anything goes - pretty peacock

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the ever popular Anything Goes.

Peacock is colored with Copic's. I wanted to show the embossing up close and show case the sparkle on it that I added using perfect pearls, but of course it's so hard to photograph that. I did use my Brother Scan N Cut to cut this guy out.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Thanks for stopping in!

Happy 50th

Hello. This weeks theme over at Less is More is numbers. Here is what I did with it.

I die cut the happy and the 5 and 0 out of gold mirror card stock. I did use some of that stick it! adhesive on the back so that it would be a lot easier to adhere to the card front. That stuff is worth the price!

I stamped the th and anniversary in versamark then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. Before I stuck the happy and 50 on, I ran this through the spellbinders embossing folder. It's from their Celebra'tions line. The pearl cardstock is from Papertrey, Ink.

Decided to decorate part of the inside and unearthed a very old swirl stamp so that I could add a bit of gold bling to the inside.

Now to finish up my chores and start to put my stamping area in order. It looks like a tornado came through. Thanks for stopping by!

Feminine thank you

Hello! Sorry to be MIA for a bit there, getting caught up from vacation was a bit of a challenge.

Forgot that Darnell was doing her NBUS challenge and I have plenty of that laying around! So, here is a soft feminine thank you card to play in the challenge.

Peonies stamp is from Papertrey, Ink and colored with Copics. I used an old sketch that I had saved to do the layout.

The white circle in the back ground has been embossed with a spellbinders celebra'tions folder. It's bit hard to see but it give this some great texture.

Sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by!

CAS sympathy card

Hi all! It's been a week from hell at the day job, so I was way over due some creative down time. Here is what I came up for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch and I also paired it with Simon's Wednesday challenge for adding a little texture.

Well, I added a lot of texture using this embossing folder from Spellbinders Celebra'tions. I also used the stamp and die from the SSS set called Greetings and Succulents. I popped it up with some foam tape to give it a bit of dimension.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Ended up getting a pretty good match on the pink cardstock to go with the ink I used on the flower. It's called Sugar from Fresh Ink. Reminds me of cotton candy.

Just a note

Hi everyone! Got to play around a bit last night and made the following card for a number of different challenges.

I used the My Favorite Things sketch challenge this week (see picture below) as a starting point for this card.

Colour me has a challenge of using pistachio pudding and a neutral to go monochromatic. I don't have that SU color so I used cardstock from Bazzill that I think is pretty darn close.

Simon Says Stamps wants us to Make it sparkle for their Wednesday challenge. So I got out the stickles and highlighted the points in the embossed background.

Fresh ink in pear is used to stamp the leaf which is from Paper Smooches. Sentiment is from Verve. Designer paper is from Reflections.

Dies used:
Stitched circle from Lil' inker, spellbinders circle nesties
Fishtail banner and center panel is from MFT
Embossing plate is from Spellbinders Celebra'tions.

Ok, that's it for today! Off on a road trip to Mt. Rainier. Thanks for stopping by!

FMS144 - Anniversary

Hi everyone! It's been super hot here in Washington state (in the mid 90's) and I sweated in my craft room to make this weeks card for Freshly Made Sketches! Just joking! Thank goodness for ceiling fans!

I just got the newest embossing folder from Spellbinders and had to try it out as soon as I unwrapped it. Well, I think I'm in love with it!!! It is from their Celebra'tions line by Richarad Garay called framed canvas.

The pink vellum is stamped in white using a very old lace background stamp. I also heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I'm kind of disappointed with it as I wanted it to be a brighter white! Oh well, it is what it is!

Sentiment is from PTI and cut out with the smaller fishtail banners from MFT. It's popped up with foam tape. White DMC thread used to tie the bow and the pink button is stuck on using glue dots.

That's about it for now! thanks for stopping in!
