With Sympathy - SSC361

Hello. I'm the hostess for the sketch challenge this time around over at Sunday Stamps. Here is the card that I created first, which inspired the sketch.

The leaf is ink-blended through a stencil using Simon Says Stamps ink.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. I kept this clean and simple as sympathy cards sort of need to be that way, in my opinion.    Below is the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your inspired by the sketch.

The image is from Impression Obsession, stamped in versafine, heat embossed then colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Celebrate - SSC346

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  I designed the sketch for our challenge this time based on this card.

I used Simon Says Stamp saturated inks and the peony buds and blossoms stencil from Shawn Petite.  Cut it apart, layered it with black cardstock, and then placed it onto an embossed panel.  The celebrate word die is from Tim Holtz Sizzix.

Thank you

Hi all. I'm playing in the Paper Players 700th challenge today which is a sketch.  This is the card that almost wasn't.  I can't tell you how many mistakes I made while doing this. My inner Virgo was having a fit today - thankfully, it all came together in the end.

The leaf dies are from Gina K Designs. I cut them out of white cardstock and colored them with the BG7.3 Olo marker. Thankfully, I had some solid designer paper that closely matched the marker color. I used Linen cardstock from Papertrey, Ink for the card base, which is top-folded.  The thank you sentiment is from MFT and the circle and rectangle stitched dot dies are from Jillian Vance Designs.

The solid leaf is inside the card, which you can see through the circle aperture on the front.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the sketch.

The stamps are an old set from Simon Say Stamp and  I used SSS pawitively saturated ink on them. The polka dot designer paper is from A Muse Studio and that cool picture frame die is from Art Impressions.

Merry Christmas to you and yours

Hello. Playing in this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge today.

The sentiment stamps are from Impress cards and crafts. I stamped them in versamark and heat embossed them in silver.  The snowflakes are from Echo Park and cut out of Tim Holtz Idea-ology silver sparkle cardstock. The embossing folder is an oldie but goodie from Provo Craft/Cuttlebug.  I accidently used the debossed side and then decided it looked pretty darn good behind the snowflake cuts outs, and left it.

Flowery pair - SSC334

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the sketch or inspiration color prompt photo.

The flower stamp is from Unity. I colored it with Copic markers and used a small blending brush and soft yellow ink to create the glow around the flowers. Butterfly die is an old one from Memory Box.

Thank you

Hi all. Moving on from Holiday cards......Here's one I created with the Sketch over at Sunday Stamps today.

The embossing folder is from Spellbinders. I used the CZ Thank you dies from Simon Says Stamps and cut them out of black cardstock and doubled it up for dimension.  Used a bit of black and white gingham ribbon on the right-hand side as called out in the sketch.

I love how crisp and CAS this turned out.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey pumpkin

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I went with the sketch and used the pumpkin as inspirtation for this card. The stamps are from Studio G,  Polka dot DSP is from PTI that I've had in my stash forever. The green leaf vine DSP is from Making Memories, which again, is as old as the hills.

Just a note

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

Sentiment is from a Jillian Vance Design. I've had the designer paper in my stash for years and dug it out to use on this. It reminded me of the rug in the photo.

Here is the Sketch/Inspiration card.

Card Sketch Tuesday #169 and a sneak peek

Greetings! Here is sketch #169 - measurements are below!

Card base - 41/4 x 5 1/2
1 - 2 1/4 x 5 1/4
2 - Top note die or your choice - 4 1/2 x 3 1/2
3 - 3/4 x 5 1/8
4 - Rectangle nestability or 2 3/4 x 2 1/8
5 - 1 3/4 x 2 1/4

The cherry image is from The Digi Shack and colored with Copic Markers. I used the top note die from SU to cut out the red cardstock. The scalloped black border was done using the new small scalloped die from Papertrey Ink. (awesome die - need to get the other two now!!)

I added a piece of green gingham ribbon to cover the raw edges of panel #1. The green cardstock is from Bazzill. The black, red and kraft cardstock are all from PTI.

I did color two sets of the cherries and painstakingly cut them out and popped them up with foam tape to create that 3D look. Which you can see in the close up picture above.

I have no idea what inspired me with this sketch - besides the colors. I kind of like how it turned out. What do you think?

The Digi Shack re-opens on March 6th, and this cherry image is one of the new designs. Stayed tuned for our design team blog hop, with a few challenges, great images and a bunch of ideas for your viewing pleasure!

Card Sketch Tuesday #168

Happy Tuesday! Here is sketch #168. Measurements are below.

Card base - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
1 = 4 x 5 1/4
2 = 2 x 4 1/2
3 = 2 1/4 x 5 1/2
4 = Rectangle nestability or 2 3/8 x 3

The flower stamp is a retired one from The Angel Company called Pretty Posies and colored with Copic markers in B63 and BV13.

The polka dots are done using the BV13 marker on the stamp (Collage elements by CHF) and then misted with rubbing alcohol. I also colored the white satin ribbon with the same marker. To tie the double bow I used the Bow Easy tool.

All shades of purple cardstock are from Bazzill.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!
