Sending happy thoughts

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

Stamps and dies are from My Favorite Things. Sentiment is from SSS. I Ink blended the background with Oxide inks. 

I also did a bonus card. For this one I used distress inks smooched onto my craft mat, watered down, then stuck the butterfly rubber stamp into it to pick up the ink. Then stamped it onto watercolor cardstock. Butterfly stamp is from Memory Box. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays.

The leaf die is from Penny Black. I did create two backgrounds using distress inks in rusty hinge, rustic wilderness and mustard seed, then cut the leaf stems out. The side panel is also created using the same colors. 

Hello sentiment is from Lil' Inker. The tag die is from My Favorite Things.

Autumn leaves

Hello. Playing in the 500th Freshly Made Sketch challenge today. 

On the main panel in the background I used the leaf stencil from Echo Park Paper and embossed it onto the paper. It's kind of hard to see in the photo, but in real life, it adds a bit more dimension.

The leaf dies are from Simon Says Stamp. I blended some distress ink onto bristol paper then cut them out. I went back and added some black ink directly onto the die and ran them through my die cut machine to give the veins a bit more POP.  Sentiment is from Raisin Boat stamps (sadly no longer around).  The moss green cardstock is from Paper Pizazz. 

As most of you know who follow my blog, I generally play along with Freshly Made Sketch challenges. I was even honored to be a guest designer once. So, I'm super excited for the big #500 and the companies who have generously donated prizes.  Thanks for the awesome sketches and the inspiration from all of the design team over the last decade!

Scenery challenge - Mountain lake

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is to build a scene.

Not one of my best cards, but it was fun never the less. Stencils are from Honey Bee called winter wonder. I stamped, colored with copic's and fussy cut out the fish. Popped them up on the ripples in the water using small foam squares.

Congratulations

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is Anything goes. Decided to do something not Holiday related on this one. 

Distress ink blended on Bristol smooth cardstock. Stamped and heat embossed the dragonfly and writing back ground stamp. Finished off with some gouache splatters.

Hello. Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #454.

The leaf is a die from Simon Says Stamp. I blended some crackling campfire, carved pumpking and scattered straw oxide inks onto some Bristol cardstock, then cut the leaf out. It matches the plaid dsigner paper pretty good. The dp is from DCWV called pumpkin patch, which is really old. Sentiment is from Poppy Stamps. I heat embossed it in white so that it would stand out. I used rustic white cardstock from PTI as the base for this top folding card.

Masculine birthday

Hi all,

Playing in a few challenges today. I started with the color challenge over at Sunday Stamps (went with all but the gold) and made it a masculine card (the paper players) with the harlequin and leaf print.

You can just barely see the harlequin stencil bottom lower left - spritzed it with water after blending oxide inks in the following colors: Fired brick, antique linen and cracked pistachio.

Skeleton leaf stamps is from the stampin' place and the birthday sentiment is from Poppy stamps. Splattered some burnt umber copic marker using the Tim Holtz spritzer bulb thingy. I didn't like that, it was coming out too fine, so I switched up to watering down some vintage photo oxide ink and picking it up with a very small paint brush to splatter. Much better! 

I got lucky matching the light teal cardstock with the cracked pistachio that I lightly blended onto the bristol card stock.

Hello. Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #437. I have to tell you, this one stumped me for a bit. I tried several different ideas, but scrapped them all - mojo was not happening. Well, the mail lady brought me my new distress oxide ink in speckled egg and some new stamps from Simon Stay Stamp, and an idea hit. 

Butterflies seem to be working for me with FMS, so I went with it. The black frame die is from Honey Bee stamps. The butterfly and sentiment is from the new SSS set called Beautiful Butterflies.  I also used peacock feathers and chipped sapphire oxide inks to blend with the new speckled egg onto Bristol paper.

ETA: Entering this into SSS Wednesday challenge of Anything Goes.

You're such an inspiration

Hello all - playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

Kept this one very clean and simple. Distress Oxide inks used on the butterflies and the blue panel. Butterfly dies are from Memory Box. The little dragonfly stamp is an oldie, but goodie from Stampendous. Sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.

I used life changing brushes and tumbled glass oxide ink to create the backdrop. I also added some fun foam behind it so that it is set off from the card base.  Sparkle shimmer spritz is added to the entire card for added interest, but didn't photograph well.
