Rudolf gift tag

Hello. Here is another tag inspired by Ellen Hutson's 12 tags of Christmas challenge. This one is for the carol - Grandma got run over by a reindeer, which is day #9.

The Rudolf stamp is from the former Angel Company. I colored him using Copic markers. The pine branch is from Great Impressions and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas gift tag

Hello. Ellen Hutson is having a 12 tags of Christmas challenge over on their blog and I decided to play along with the 12/6 tag challenge. They are all based off Christmas carol and today's is: Let it Snow.

I used uncharted mariner distress ink to create the background.  The snowflakes and sentiment are from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamptember 2022 release. I also used the snowflake stencil and sterling foundry wax on this.

Snowflakes are heat embossed with white detail embossing powder.  I also used the uncharted mariner embossing glaze on the sentiment.

Blue hydrangea

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I went with the sketch and the blue hydrangeas in the photo. Stamp is from Ellen Hutson and is watercolored.  Used the same blue to do a quick wash in the background. The sentiment is from Honey Bee. Pearls are from Trinity stamps.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Thinking of you

Hey there - Playing in The Paper Players TTT challenge today with this card.

Butterfly stamp is from Memory Box. I stamped it in versafine ink, heat embossed and then colored with Copic markers. Sentiment is from Ellen Hutson (from the mondo hydrangea set) and it's also heat embossed.  The gingham paper is from my paper stash that I've had 20+ years - who knows where it came from, but it matched my coloring and the light blue cardstock on the bottom. I used a pierced rectangle die from MFT to cut both out. The butterfly oval is cut out of a cover plate die from Avery Elle.

Hydrangea's

Hello - What is this, my third post today? Wow, the mojo was flowing today. LOL =) I'm now playing in the Twofer challenge with the code word of Flowers.

Mondo Hydrangea is from Ellen Hutson. I stamped it in versamark ink and heat embossed it using detail white embossing powder from Ranger. Then I spritzed them both heavily with water and dipped a paint brush into blue watercolor and let it run. Layered both of these onto navy blue cardstock.

Once dried, I added the sentiments and the flower centers using fabrika decoru drops.  Sympathy sentiment is from Honey Bee and the birthday one is from Simon Says Stamp.

Blue Hydrangeas

Hello. I had a bit of time today and decided to play in the CAS colours and sketches challenge.

Hydrangea stamp is from Ellen Hutson. I heat embossed this with detail white embossing powder then put some watercolor to it. Cut out a square piece of the finished sheet and then layered it with contrasting colors. Yellow Fabrika Decoru used for the centers of the flower.

Lattice embossing folder used for some texture on the white panel in the background.

OK, back to my weekend chores. Thanks for stopping by!

Life is tough

Hi there. Playing in the Less is More color challenge of yellow and gray.

I used the new Courage stamp set from Ellen Hutson. This set was specifically made to help fund Breast Cancer Research. You can find it at this link.

I used several of the solid flowers in the set and stamped them randomly using Fresh Ink in Lemonade, Chamomile and Mango. Then added some splatters using the big splatter stamp from Stampin Up! Sentiment and the splatters are done with soft granite ink from Hero Arts.

Gray cardstock is from My Favorite Things and so is the double stitched rectangle die.

Thanks for stopping by!

Peony

Hello! Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

Peony stamp is from Ellen Hutson's Mondo Peony. I used white detail embossing powder on watercolor paper. Then used a variety of pink colors to water color it. Same with the leaves. All are fussy cut out. I switched up the bottom two layers on the sketch.

The back ground paper is repurposed or upcycled from a top I just bought from J. Jill. It was packaged in between the top and the plastic for shipping. Loved the texture of it and put it to use on this card.

ETA: I forgot to include this into the Hint of Pink challenge over at Simon Say Stamp.

Thanks for stopping in.

Up the happy!

Hi everyone. This is my last guest post for Just Us Girls. It's been super fun and I want to thank the team for voting for me! Here is this week's challenge.

I used the new (to me) set from Ellen's Essentials (designed by Julie E) Up the Happy to create this card. Those balloons just wanted to be paper pierced using some fun designer paper.

The designer paper is from Wild Rose Studio called Dancing Daisies. It's a little 6 x 6 pack of paper that has some of the cutest papers in it.

I have to admit, the reason I bought this set was because of this sentiment. I will use this for encouragement, birthdays, and so on.....

Again, thanks to the DT over at Just Us Girls! It's been an honor and a pleasure to participate as a guest designer.

Thanks for dropping by. Hope to see you soon!

Thinking of you

Hello. I made this card a while ago and I'm just now getting around to showing you all.

The die used here is called sketch daisy from Memory Box and you can find it here.

I colored the flower petals with distress inks and off set them a bit just to be different.

Back ground is done using Ken Oliver's color bursts. Sentiment is from Essentials by Ellen designed by Julie Ebersol for Ellen Hutson.

I played around with framing the flower using a circle nestie and then cutting it on an angle using my craft knife. Card panel is popped up using foam tape onto a white card base.

OK, that's it for today. Thanks for popping in!

Hugs

Hello everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch, which I'm pairing with two other challenges out there too. I know the hydrangea is a bit large for the sketch, but I decided to go for it anyway.

Stamp and die are new from Ellen Hutson called Mondo Hydrangea. I used shaded lilac distress ink direct to paper. Then stamped the flower with Versamark and heat embossed using white embossing power. Then I took a round paint brush and lightened some of the petals by adding water. Thanks to Jennifer McGuire for the technique.

Added some yellow liquid pearls for the centers. Leaves are die cut out of green cardstock and glued around the hydrangea. Grosgrain ribbon is from my stash that I've had like forever.

Hugs sentiment is new and from Wplus9. I stamped it versafine then heat embossed with clear before running it through the dot embossing folder from We R memory keepers, giving it a subtle texture.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is touchy feely (add texture) and Darnell is having another NBUS challenge.
