Another 2fer on leaves

Hello. At heart, I really love leaves during any season. They can be left alone or paired with a flower and bottom line, they just work.  So, with that in mind, I decided to play again in the Twofer leaves challenge.

Leaf stamps and the thank you sentiment are from Concord & 9th. I used different colored inks from Rubbernecker's Fuse ink line to stamp them in.  Get well sentiment on the first card is from Frantic stamper.

Ribbon from PTI and dug out some big eyelets from We R memory keepers and used them on the get well card along with some twine. Burlap is from DCWV, green gingham paper is from A Muse Studio.

Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!

Tic Tac Toe challenge - just because

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I went with the first line across - stitching, cats and a square card.  I just love this cat - his expression is so funny to me. You can find him under the "Swing" stamp sets.  Dug out some big eyelets to embellish with on this, as the metallic color went very well with all the grays.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Sketch challenge over at THTSB

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to follow this sketch layout.

It is really hard to tell by the picture, but the yellow cardstock is embossed using the diamond quilted next generation embossing folder by We R Memory Keepers.

I took the 9205-O, Hydrangea stamp from Repeat Impressions, and heat embossed it so that I could color with Copic's. Then I used my Brother ScanNCut to cut it out. I did turn this on it's side to work with the sketch. I also used the clear Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to add some bling to the bee's wings. That is navy cardstock that is paired with the yellow and white.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in one weekly challenge or all of them. The more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a
Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Need a floaty?

Hey all! Here is a great little encouragement card that I'm going to send off to one of my co-workers. She's been a bit stressed lately.

Is he not the cutest? He's from Your next stamp. I stamped him using my Nano to make sure I got a good and solid black impression with the Versafine ink. I then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.  Colored with Copic's and then dug through my stash to find coordinating cardstock.

I ran the pool blue through the next generation embossing folder from We R Memory Keepers to match the spots on the floaty. Added two flags on either side with coordinating colors for some added interested. Dies are from My Favorite Things.

Inside of this I stamped "I'm here for you" which also comes in the set.

I used a bit of glossy accents on his swim mask to give it the appearance of glass. In real life it's pretty cool.

Hugs

Hello everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch, which I'm pairing with two other challenges out there too. I know the hydrangea is a bit large for the sketch, but I decided to go for it anyway.

Stamp and die are new from Ellen Hutson called Mondo Hydrangea. I used shaded lilac distress ink direct to paper. Then stamped the flower with Versamark and heat embossed using white embossing power. Then I took a round paint brush and lightened some of the petals by adding water. Thanks to Jennifer McGuire for the technique.

Added some yellow liquid pearls for the centers. Leaves are die cut out of green cardstock and glued around the hydrangea. Grosgrain ribbon is from my stash that I've had like forever.

Hugs sentiment is new and from Wplus9. I stamped it versafine then heat embossed with clear before running it through the dot embossing folder from We R memory keepers, giving it a subtle texture.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is touchy feely (add texture) and Darnell is having another NBUS challenge.

Joy to the world

Hello! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. I'm on vacation from work this week so had plenty of time today to play.

Rustic white cardstock is from PTI, I used it for the base and for the next layer, which is popped up using foam tape.

Embossing folder is from We R Memory Keepers. I love the quilted look it provides and it's pretty deeply embossed.

Banner tag is cut from Bazzill antique paper and then colored with Festive Berries distress inks. The music sheet paper is just that, paper, so it was a bit of a challenge to sponge the distress ink on without tearing it.

Poinsettia die is from Poppy Stamps and the pine die is from Impression Obsession. I used some cream colored satin ribbon in the back ground so that it would help to set off the colors of greens and hide the line between the embossing.  Lastly, the sentiment is from PTI.
Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas goodie bag

Hi everyone! I liked the challenge over at The Friday Mashup and decided to play along!

I created the tag using an old Life Style Crafts (Quickutz) tag die. The fir branch is from Great Impressions, which is stamped in green and then I added the sentiment from Stampendous. I've had that fir branch stamp forever and you should see how stained the wood is.

I layered the tag with pine green and scarlet jewel cardstock from PTI.

The treat box is made using the envelope punch board from We R Memory Keepers. I used a piece of 12 x 12 paper in kraft and then added the bow to tie it off.

Also entering this into the Tag You're It challenge #8.

Have a great week!

I Heart Dogs - Mojo #300

Hi all! I was able to make a card for this weeks Mojo Monday #300 sketch! I braved the 100 degree heat in the craft room to put this one together. The fans were working overtime in here!

Ok - so these stamped images have been sitting on my desk for about three weeks as I decided what to do with them, well all except the bone! The hydrant, paw print and sentiment are all $1 stamps from We R Memory Keepers. I stamped the hydrant in Versafine and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder so that I could color it with Copic's.  The bone is a stamp from CTMH and I stamped it up in the right hand corner because this square panel was missing something - not sure if I like it but it's late and hot in here!

Black cardstock is embossed with a line pattern that I just picked up from Hobby Lobby (the paper studio). Gingham paper is from A*Muse and the black polka dot is from PTI.

Thanks for stopping by!

Masculine Birthday

I went searching in my stash for a masculine birthday card and found that I'm out! Yikes! So, this is what I whipped up real fast to get in the mail.

Tag is made out of a coaster using the Quickutz tag die and a big eyelet from We R Memories is attached to the center. Back ground stamps and the sentiment are from PTI. Stamped the paper backgrounder in Palette burnt umber and then distressed it with vintage photo that was applied with a sponge applicator.

White background is embossed with the plaid embossing folder from Sizzix. The black cardstock is punched using the stitch border punch from EK Success.

Super quick and easy peasy. Our weather here in Washington state feels like early spring! I heard a radio announcer today coin July as "Julebruary" - go figure! So, if your in the middle of a heat wave, please send warm weather our way! Thanks for dropping in and be safe!

Mini "To Do" book

Hello! It's suppose to warm up to 90 degree's today! whew! That's hot in this part of the state!

I recently found some We R Memory Keepers clear stamps at one of my LSS. I found it in the dollar bin, but it's worth so much more than that!

I covered some chipboard which was cut to 3.25 x 3.25 with designer paper from K&Company! The TO DO stamp below is actually from TAC. Nestabilities were used to cut out the scalloped circles. I used dauber with Palette Moulin Rouge to distress the scallops of the back ground circle. The dots were added using a multi liner pen. I also used that outstanding tool, the Bow-Easy for making that tiny bow!!!

There are four titles in this mini clear stamp set, along with the lines. The one I didn't take a picture of is "the details". Using a 12 x 12 piece of card stock, I cut 16 3 x 3 mini square pages and Bound them together using the Bind it all. I did not add ribbons to the wires like you normally would see on these projects, because I'm going to put this in my purse. I just thought that the ribbons would end up getting ripped, frayed, dirty, etc. and it made more sense to leave it naked (or clean and simple).

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
