Wishing you a beautiful day

Hello. The new sketch challenge over at The Paper Players caught my attention today, and I used it on this card.

My daffodils are almost ready to bloom (early in the PNW this year) and decided to use them as a focal point on this card.  The stamp is an old greenhouse society one from Technique Tuesday and I colored it with Olo markers.  The sentiment is from Honey Bee stamps.  The designer paper in the background is also from an older Fancy Pants 6 x 6 pad.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cup of cheer!

Hello! Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #409 and the coffee lovers fall and winter blog hop today. Also adding this into the SSS anything goes challenge.

Coffee cup stamps and die are from Hero Arts. Designer paper is from Fancy Pants, called Timbergrove, which I've had in my Christmas paper stash for a while now. Used an old Martha Stewart craft punch on the snowflakes. Tried to match the DP color and used a Copic marker to color one of the snowflakes and the self adhesive pearl.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dandelions

Hi everyone! I had a chance to put this card together for the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players in between loads of laundry today.

I sorta went out of my color comfort zone with this one. I had the dandelions stamped up and sitting in my "to make" box and decided come hell or high water I was going to use it today.  Then I had to search and destroy through my designer papers for something to work. Ya, easier said than done.

I ended up using the mesh die from Cherry Lynn to cut out a piece of kraft to go behind everything. Striped dp came from Fancy Pants, happy go lucky 6 x 6 paper pad. The I just grabbed a dark brown piece that matched the stripe to go behind. Wood self adhesive dots are from My Minds Eye.

Back to house work I go. Got stew in the crock pot and the smell is making my stomach growl, but it's one less thing I have to worry about today. Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Cheer

Hi everyone. I decided to participate in the winter/holiday coffee lovers bloghop and here is my entry.

I used the LLD coffee dies from My Favorite Things to cut out the coffee cup. It is then popped up onto a kraft tag that has been splattered with white to look like snow. The tag die is from MFT.

Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and stamped onto the a fishtail banner. It's really hard to see, but I stamped some mint tiny snowflakes on either side of the sentiment.

Designer paper is from Fancy Pants. I colored the top white satin ribbon with a Copic marker to match the DP, it's close but not perfect. I tied it on and added a button snowflake that I've had in my stash for a bit. It's really cute in real life.

Adding this to Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge of Tag it, as well.

ETA: entering this into the anything goes challenge over at Word Art Wednesday anythings goes challenge.
Also entering into the Sunday Stamps color challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nasturtiums

Hi everyone! I really liked the sketch over at JUGS wild card week and came up with this.

The flower stamp are from Simon Says Stamps set called Thinking of you, which I've linked here. It's a very versatile set and one that I go to time and again.

I made one of the flowers in the set into a Nasturtium using the orange/yellow Ombre ink pad from Hero Arts.

Designer paper is from Fancy Pants. I used the Blue Prints 14 from MFT to cut the main image out and the dots along the tangerine border strip. I don't normally use a lot of DP but decided my stash needs to be dwindled down.

Don't you just love this sketch? Thanks for stopping by!

FMS139 - congratulations

Hello! Happy Friday - glad the weekend is here! I so need to sleep in! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch!

Ok, I tried something a bit different when taking the photo of this card. I added some black cardstock behind to see if it would look better.  It does make the card stand out! pfft.

Stamps are from Close to my hear. I colored the flower with R83, R85, R89 and G24. The bow is made out of May Arts ribbon wire which I colored with the R83.

Tag die is from Papertrey, Ink as is the polka dots that are stamped in white onto the pink designer paper, which is from Fancy pants.

Have a creative weekend and thanks for stopping by!

FMS137 - Happy 4th

Hi everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

The sentiment is an old one from the former Angel Company. I stamped it in versamark and then used white embossing powder to heat emboss.

Designer paper is from the Trend Setter pack from Fancy Pants designs. Stars are cut from a die. I popped the blue one up with foam tape just to set it off a bit.

That is it for today. Off to purchase some annuals to plant in the flower boxes. Going to get dirty today, instead of inky!

Thanks for stopping in!

Mojo344 - Birthday wishes

Hi everyone! Here is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday #344. I'm also playing in the Verve Diva Dare which is to have petals and wings on your card.

All stamps are from Verve. Flowers are colored with Copic markers and then I used the picket fence white distress marker to go over the centers to brighten it up. I like the effect it gave the flowers.

Yes, my butterfly stands out a bit and it's also colored with copics. I fussy cut it out and then added the antena back on using craft wire.

Designer paper is from Fancy Pants and I used some cording to make the flag pole. White and black cardstock is from PTI.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day

Hello! Wow - two posts in one day. Here is a card I created for three challenges!

Starting off with Just us Girls color challenge, CAS(e) this sketch and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge which is Mother's Day/Special Girl.

Mother's day sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. The color paper is printed from the Fancy Pants Park bench digi papers that I just got from Jessica Sprague.

Flowers are cut from a die from Casual Fridays and the leaves are punched from Bazzill light green cardstock using the MS punch. Queen & Co. pearls used in the centers of each flower. I have to say that I like Kaisecraft pearls much better than Queen & Co. The self adhesive doesn't stick to the pearls very well!

My Fishtail dies from MFT got a work out this week with everyone using them in their sketches!

Ok, I think I'm done creating for this weekend, now it's time to clean up the mess I left behind. Thanks for stopping by!

FMS#127 - Sending hugs

Hi everyone! Had a few minutes to toss this CAS card together for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #127.

I ended up making this card a 5 x 5 square because I made the layers too big to fit on a normal A2 card. LOL!

Designer paper is from Fancy Pants Parkbench digi papers. Sentiment stamp is from Simon Says Stamps. I stamped it in Versafine and the heat embossed it using clear powder.

Flower die is from Casual Fridays. I added a black pearl for the center from Kaisercraft. I actually cut out three flowers but ended up only adding the one to keep it simple.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

All things

All things are possible. Hi everyone! Here's my take on two challenges this week.

Designer paper is from Fancy Pants and called park bench. Stamps are from Verve (sentiment) and American Crafts. Studio G ink used on the leaf and flower and I also added a drop of liquid pearls to the center of the flower. Click on photo for a better view and to get rid of the blurriness!

I used a clear button and glued on some of the DP using glossy accents and tie a bow using scrappers floss.

It's very gloomy here today with rain in the forecast - it really hasn't rained in over 34 days so we desperately need it! Hence the darkness of my picture.  Thanks for stopping by!
