Congrats TSOT#650

Hello and welcome to another sketch challenge at Try a Sketch on Tuesdays.  Here is the card I made and the sketch for you to use.

The flower dies and the polka dot stamps are from Papertrey, Ink.  The sentiment is from Parklane. I used textured teal paper from a very old Hot off the Press paper pack to stamp the sentiment.  The flower centers are self-adhesive matt sprinkles from Doodlebug Designs.

Time to get it in gear

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

The gear stamps are from Hot off the press and the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. I did heat emboss them using black embossing powder.

The perimeter of the card panel is distressed using Vintage photo distress ink. The outline stitch dot die is from Jillian Vance Designs.  I stuck a panel of fun foam on the back so that it could stand out on the black card base.

This will be used as a masculine birthday card in my stash.

Hello

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I created the scene using watercolor paper and Tombow markers. I did use the 4522-G, Calm Water stamp to create the ripples in the water. Fussy cut the seagull and popped him up on the corner. I hand drew the birds in the sky line.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Oodles of Doodles challenge

Hello. Playing in the Monday Simon Says Stamp Oodles of Doodles challenge. I used a back ground that I had previously created in a spurt of playing with alcohol and alloy inks.

I used a bunch of different stamps from a few companies and then added some doodles using a black Zig millennium pen.

The Believe stamp is Gina K, the dragonfly is Poppy stamps, the clock is Tim Holtz and the border stamp is from Hot off the Press. I heat embossed the clock and the border, then used some steel wool to un-shine them both.

On the dragonfly, I doodled in some stripes using a gold glitter pen in it's wings. This was a super fun challenge.  Have a great day!

Tic-tac-toe challenge

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following Tic-Tac-Toe board to create with.

The bear is colored with Copic markers and then I used some rubbing alcohol and a wash cloth to add texture to him.

I cut him out using my Brother Scan N Cut and then popped him up on the circle die cut using foam tape. Vellum is from a pack that I have had for years that I purchased from Hot off the Press.

118-I, Bear with Heart and 1917-E, Beary best stamps used.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in any of our challenges, the more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a

Pink flower on kraft

Hi everyone! Here's my take on Darnell's NBUS challenge to use colored pencils on kraft. I really struggled with finding something that I liked using colored pencils, and finally ditched them and grabbed my Zig water color markers.  Darnell, I hope you don't mind. ;-)

Flower is from Hot Off The Press, and heat embossed using white detail embossing powder. If you enlarge the photo you will see a bit of sparkle that is added using the Spectrum sparkle pens. I used the clear one on both the pink and green.

The thank you is from Simon Says Stamp that I just got in the mail. Added some white enamel drops from Fabrika Decoru to give it more dimension.

I'm also going to add this into The Paper Players clean and simple Flowers challenge.

Thanks for stopping in, see you soon.

Congratulations

Hi all. Here's a card I made awhile ago that fits in with the sketch over at CAS colours & Sketches.

Stamp set is from Altenew. I stamped it using Simon Says Stamp intense black so that I could use Copic markers to color it.

Cardstock to match came from Hot Off The Press.

Also entering this into the anything goes challenge over at Simon Says Stamps.

That's it for today. Thanks for dropping by.

Birthday wishes

Hi everyone! Decided to play along with the challenge over at The Paper Players, which is to make a CAS card with a butterfly.

The flower and butterfly stamps are from Hot Off The Press.  The stamp set has a lot of different flowers on it, along with the smaller butterflies and a bunch of swirls.

I heat embossed it using clear embossing powder and then colored it with Copic's. I used R81, 83 and 85 for the flower. The leaves are done using G40, 43 and 46.

Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and I added the tiny black pearls to balance out the card.

That's it for today, thanks for stopping by.

Purple Tulips

Hello! I've had this little tag sitting in my "to make" pile and finally found a sketch it would work with.

Sketch is from CAS on Sunday (see below). I also challenged myself to use some designer paper on this as well. I've got oodles and oodles and really need to use it up or toss.

The tulips are watercolored free hand while I was playing around with a new set. I was a little surprised at how well they turned out. I ended up using a vintage cream cardstock as the base for this card. Close in color but not perfect.

Designer paper is from a pad that I've had a while that I got from Hot Off The Press. Sentiment is from Clearly Besotted. Tag die is from My Favorite Things.

Crocus

Hi everyone! For those of you affected by the blizzard, I hope that you are safe and snuggled up in your homes getting crafty. I had some time today and decided to play around with the new Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society stamp.

I struggled finding the best purple combo for coloring this lovely stamp up. Ended up using the following Copic markers: B60, BV02, BV17, YG63 and YG67.

Once I got it colored and cut out (per sketch challenge below from the paper players) I then began to panic on finding matching cardstock to layer and designer paper to go with. I got super lucky and found both and this is now very monochromatic.

Cardstock was found in my Hot Off The Press stash of 6 x 6 papers. The designer paper is Kaisercraft. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps.

Added some clear dew drops to give this a bit more interest. I have no idea which company they came from, as they're in a clear zip lock baggy in my embellishment drawer.

Thanks for visiting!

Chevons

Hi everyone! The code word over at Addicted to CAS is Chevron and this is how I used it.

I dug out my Chevron stamps that I got from Hot Off The Press and inked the chevron border stamp with Limeaid Fresh Ink.

Birthday sentiment is from PTI. I dug out some enamel dots from Studio Calico that went perfectly with the color of ink. I also got luck with the lime green cardstock from Bazzill that I had in my stash. This will make a great masculine card for my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations

Hi everyone! I've been super busy with the day job and trying to stay cool in this 90 degree weather, that I haven't had a lot of time to create anything. I was bound and determined to do so today after I got some fans circling around in the craft room. I'm playing in the 300th challenge over at Just Us Girls and the word is "congratulations."

Stamps and dies are from Avery Elle. I stamped
them in pink lemonade and limeade from Fresh ink.

The stitched banner comes from My Favorite Things. Kept this one clean and simple, not to mention fast as it's just too hot up here to stay for very long. Upstairs that is. Wonder how much central air conditioning costs and if its worth the money for a few weeks out of the year?

Off to try and stay cool. thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you the best

Good morning! I got some time to play around yesterday and came up with this for two challenges.

I used the sketch over at Sweet Sunday and paired it with the color challenge over at Sunday Stamps. I tried to keep this clean and simple with the soft color combo below.

I had the flower (PTI) stamped up, watercolored with Faber Castel gelatos and it was sitting on my desk just waiting to be made into a card. I fussy cut it out and added a bit of clear wink of stella sparkle to the flower center. Then just popped it up onto the card with foam tape.

I used the daisy embossing folder from Darice to add a bit of texture to the panel right behind the flower. Colored cardstock is from HOTP.

Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by!
