Just because - Fusion challenge

Hello. It's time for another Fusion Challenge. Here is the graphic for you.

I was inspired by the hexagons on the cake and the sketch. I used watercolor paper and distress oxide inks to get the blue/teal colors. Once dry, I used an embossing folder and then cut it apart to go with the sketch design.

Happy Birthday - Fusion

Hello. Here is the new challenge over at Fusion! Play with the sketch, play with the photo or do both!

I used the flower dies from CASual Friday to create the flower spray. Cut them out of pink cardstock then added some highlights using Copic markers. Self adhesive pearls used in the center. Pink striped dp is from my stash. Used the same color pink cardstock as the flowers to cut a tiny strip to separate the white card base from the dp.

Thinking of you - Exciting news!

Hello! I have some exciting news! I've been asked to join the Design Team over at the Fusion Challenge blog. I'm so honored to be among these talented ladies! Here is the current challenge.

I used several elements for this card. I started with the sketch and then layered in the color combo's. I also like the shiplap and the vase of white orchids on the desk.

Sentiment is from Reverse Confetti and the flower die is from Simon Says Stamp. The shiplap background stamp is from Carta Bella.

Fusion challenge - a very happy birthday

The stamp is a retired one from the former Angel Company. Stamped in versafine, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then colored with Copic's. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Hey there. Playing in a few challenges today.  Started with the Fusion challenge and added in some stamp layering for the challenge over at Less is More and Addicted to CAS wants leaves.

Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. I used dye inks from Hero Arts.

Sorry about the quality of my picture. My USB cord is no longer working for my little Nikon cool pix camera. I had to us my cell phone and the quality isn't as sharp. Thank goodness that I found a place to buy one.

Hello there

Hey all. Playing in two challenges today. Fusion and Addicted to CAS.

Followed the sketch and picture from Fusion and then grunged it up a bit.

Butterfly stamp is from IndigoBlu. I stamped it in Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a grid stamp from Technique Tuesday, splatter stamp from My Favorite Things and music back ground stamp from Echo Park.  Sentiment is from Hero Arts.

To create the back ground, I used pigment ink reinkers and water color paper.

Hi all. Here's my take on a couple of challenges today.

It's all about clean and simple for this one and the bonus of it is, that it can be mass produced.

I added a snowflake (die from MFT) for the center of the O. You can't tell in the picture, but I did spritz it with some shimmer frost.

Popped the white panel up using foam tape onto a pure poppy card base.

snowflake wonder

Hello. Here is my take on this weeks Fusion Card Challenge. 

These colors seem to be the "in" colors this season. I personally really like them. Anyway, the snowflake is a really old die from Sizzix that I had to figure out how to run through my new Platinum. The normal sandwich just wasn't working.

I used a pierced die to create the envelope like flap based on the sketch. It's popped up using foam tape.

Sentiment is from Verve stamps and studio G ink used to stamp it. It's a little soft but matches well. I'm thinking that maybe it should of been stamped in a color that stands out a bit more. What do you think?

Hello! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch!

I just got the new fall leaves dies from My Favorite Things in the mail and had to play with them. I used distress inks to create the fall colors.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. I did use different sizes of thickness in the foam tape to pop up these leaves with. I really like the embossing of the veins in the leaves that these dies provide. Gives it a more realistic look.

Distress inks used:
Vintage photo, scattered straw, spiced marmalade and festive berries.

Kept this very clean and simple which I think would work really well for a masculine card.

Hi everyone! It's been a fabulous week so far. Winning not one, but two prizes off of blog challenges. So fun!  Here is my take on the Fusion challenge.

I went for clean and simple for this one and followed the sketch pretty closely.

Flowers are stamped in Strawberry Fresh Ink, leaves in Mojito green and then cut out using the coordinating dies. They are both from Avery Elle called Petals and Stems.  The sentiment comes in the set as well. I did pop up the smaller flower using foam tape for some dimension.

Fishtail banner used to cut out the mirror silver cardstock that is tucked behind the white panel below. Navy cardstock is from Bazzill.

Hey everyone! Played around with this weeks Fusion Challenge and got a bit frustrated. I struggled with finding the right flower stamp to use with this. Everything I tried, I didn't like! Ended up with this!

Flower stamp is from Simon Says Stamp. I used fresh ink in french lavender to stamp the solid flower and black to do the outline. Then I got out the liquid pearls and dabbed some lemon yellow on for the centers.

Sentiment is from Avery Elle. I cut out the dotted banner then stamped the sentiment. It's popped up using foam tape. The white grid/mesh over the lavender cardstock is a die from Cherry Lynn Designs. That die makes great confetti too!

Dragonfly die is from Memory box. I cut the body out of black cardstock and the wings out of vellum. Added some Wink of Stella in clear to get them to appear gossamer. Love how they turned out. Now I get to add this card to the Wednesday challenge over at SSS which is Things that Fly.

Snow

Hi everyone! I was inspired by the Fusion challenge and decided to play around a bit with it. Here is what I ended up with.

The red gingham stood out as did the color in the pine cone. I decided to follow the sketch and use those two colors as well as a white card base.

Fishtail banner is from MFT and cut out using kraft cardstock. I layered it with pure poppy cardstock from PTI. The red gingham is a stamp from Kaisercraft that I inked up with wild cherry colorbox ink from MFT. 

Snowflakes are cut using white cardstock and dies from Penny Black. I then sprayed them with some frost smooch shimmer spay to give them a little bit of bling.

Using alphabet dies from Memory Box I cut out the S,N and W. A dauber with white ink from Fresh Ink is used to do the snowman face to take the place of the O. I added a bit of orange cardstock for his nose and tiny tiny black pearls for his mouth.  This idea was another Pinterest find.  I also added a small snowflake to the inside of the card, which you can barely make out.
