I was inspired by the photo and colors. Light house is from Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from Tim Holtz. Used Arteza watercolor markers to create the skyline on water color paper.

Designer choice challenge - create a matching envelope

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week is our Designer Choice Challenge and Patti has challenged us to create a matching envelope.

I used the poinsettia stamp as a background. It is heat embossed in white and then I colored with Arteza watercolor markers. Used the same stamp on the envelope, and I couldn't resist adding the flying Santa and his reindeer postoid.

Watercolor thanks

Hello all. Playing in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge today. The challenge is thank you/thanksgiving.

Decided to do some water coloring using this background stamp from Magenta.

I stamped it in versamark then heat set with white embossing powder. Used my Arteza watercolor pens along with a water brush  to color the flowers and back ground.

Thanks die is cut out several times using black cardstock and stacked together. Used a pierced square die to cut it out and added it to a black square card base. I like how the black makes the colors pop even more.

You simply get better

Hi all - playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #395 today.

I used my Arteza watercolor markers on the new Flowers in Bloom set from My Favorite Things. Watercolor paper is from Ken Oliver. I heat embossed the flowers with detail white embossing powder from Ranger. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

I used the pinpoint snowflake circle frame die from Memory Box to cut out the flower and frame it with the pierced circle. The pierced outer die was cut a few times and stacked up for dimension.

Just a note to say...

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

To create this water color palette that matched the picture above, I got out my Arteza watercolor brush markers. I did  stamp the flowers in Versamark and heat embossed them using white embossing powder. Then heavily spritzed the watercolor paper and dabbed on the watercolor markers here and there. Used my heat tool to dry in between adding colors. After I decided the watercolors were done, I went back and painted in the flowers with a white paint pen and then added yellow centers using Fabrika Decoru.

You're one of a kind

Hello. It's raining outside, so perfect day to stay inside and make a few cards. Here is one I did for the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.

Flower bud is from the Simon Says Stamp delicate flowers set. I water colored it using Arteza water color markers. The sentiment is also from Simon Says Stamp. It's from the tiny sentiment set.  The pink polka dots are from a background stamp that I purchased from Stamp Camp at a rubber stamp show eons ago. Dew drops added to balance out the card.

Things have a way of working out

Hello. Playing last minute in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

It's a gloomy day today, so I got out my water color markers from Arteza and played around. As you can see, I was a little creative with the sketch.

Petunia stamps is from Pretty Pink Posh and the sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Making this post short and sweet today, places to go and things to see. Have a great weekend.

Ombre thanks

Hi everyone. I got a chance to play around a bit today with new stamps from Pretty Pink Posh. I paired it with the ombre challenge going on over at Addicted to CAS.

The colors of my cardstock appear to be off in the photo for some strange reason.

I used me new Arteza watercolor markers and did the smooch technique to create some cool water color effects on Bristol paper. Used the coordinating dies from PPP and cut them out.

I blended some wilted violet onto a piece of cardstock and then cut out the "thanks."  Stitched frame die from My Favorite Things.  Fabrika Decoru enamel used to create the dots.
