Merry Christmas

Hello. Playing in the snow challenge over at Addicted to CAS today.

I used a stencil and Lisa Hortoncraft premium dye metallic pigment ink in silver to create the main snowy panel. I also embossed the snowflakes with silver embossing powder for additional dimension. The panel is popped up with a piece of fun foam.

The Merry Christmas sentiment die is from Simon Says Stamp and cut out of silver cardstock.  I did back it with vellum that I added a bit of sparkle to with a wink of Stella pen. Lastly, I spritzed it with sparkle shimmer spray, which of course does not show up in the photo.

Thanks for stopping by.

Season's Greetings

Hello. I'm playing in the clean and simple challenge of Tag, you're it over at The Paper Players today.

I upcycled a Lucky Brands tag from a pair of purchased jeans.

The snowflake die is from Echo Park. The sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink and I used an old 5 x 7 Provo Craft snowflake embossing folder for the background.

I used a frost spritz spray on the snowflakes and in real life they are so sparkly, but hard to capture on camera.

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas tag

Hello. Decided to play in the Christmas Tag Monday Simon Says Stamp challenge. I had already stamped the new Holiday floral stamp onto water color paper and heat embossed it with white detail embossing powder. However, the embossing powder flubbed up a bit in a section. So, I decided to cut it down into a tag to play in the challenge.

You can see in the top left hand corner the smudge of embossing powder on the leaf of the poinsettia. I used Daniel Smith water colors on this - I had purchased a swatch of basic colors at my LSS. That is now in the trash, as I spilled water all over it and all the colors bled into one another. Bummer! I finished off the blue by using a Tombow marker.

I splatted this with white gouache paint that has been watered down and then spritzed it with shimmer spritz. In real life it sparkles and is really pretty.  Seam binding is colored with Copic's for the bow at the top of the tag.  Tag die is from MFT Stamps.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Flutter by

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I used the newest alcohol pearl ink in intrigue and dandelion to create the background. I ended up adding more sparkle with a spritz of shimmer from imagine craft. Added faux stitching around the inside panel and the card base with dies.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.
