You make everything better!

Hello. Playing in a few challenges today with this card. The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches, and I used the left column down on the tic-tac-toe challenge.  See below.

The tools and the peg board are dies from Taylored Expressions. I added a few bits of duct tape to the board using the small tape dies from Tim Holtz Sizzix vault die set 666876. (It is the set that has the clipboard in it). Silver cardstock from TH used for the tools. I did end up cutting down the peg board a bit to better fit the sketch.

The ruler is from an old set called The Necessities by Limited Edition. I had to stamp it on yellow cardstock to resemble the rulers that used to hang out in my Dad's garage.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle, and I used the small nail die cut (cut off a bit) as an exclamation point.

This could be used as a Father's Day card or a birthday card.

Ice cream cones!

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays.

The ice cream cone die is a freebie that I got from Taylored Expressions. The sprinkles that I attached to the tops are from Papertrey, Ink.   I decided to add the same texture to my card base to match the texture on the cone, which is the stitched die from Concord & 9th.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Masculine birthday

Hello.  Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch today. I need two birthday cards for co-workers and used this sketch as a jumping off point.

Tool dies are from Taylored Expressions. Birthday sentiment is from Poppy Stamps. Used silver mirrored cardstock for the tools. Handles are cut from kraft and then colored with Copic's.

Also entering this into the Paper Players CAS challenge of men in mind

It's a little gloomy outside today, so picture is a bit on the dark side. Thanks for stopping by.

Tools

Hello. Playing in a few challenges today.  I used the sketch from TGIF challenges and made is masculine for the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

Stamps and dies are from Taylored expressions except for the word "Husband" which is from a Papertrey, Ink set.

Used some shiny silver cardstock from my stash on the tools. The nail heads on the ends of the sentiment panel are from Prima. I've had them in my stash forever, so it was good to use them on this.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Snowflake shaker card

Hi everyone. Here is a simple shaker card I made for the following challenges.

CAS Colours & Sketches - monochromatic shades of blue (Happy #200 Birthday challenge)
Sunday Stamps - Sketch - which I changed up a bit..

I used a circle instead of a square. Snowflake stamps are from Carta Bella and stamped in cornflower, dusty blue and stone wash inks from Hero Arts.

Snowflake die and the stitched circle die are from My Favorite Things. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink and the snow embossing folder is from Taylored Expressions.

I did stamp a few snowflakes on the inside of the card, as you can see. I also glue a few of the sequins onto the snowflake panel before adding in the other shaker elements so that they wouldn't all fall to the bottom.

That's it for today. I hope all of you in the US have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Holiday coffee cup

Hi all. I picked up this Hero Arts stamp and die set after waffling about it for some time. I put it to use on this sketch from TGIF Challenges.

I had to use my nano stampoholic tool to get the red ink as dark and even as I could. It took repeated stamping and re-inking to do that.

Red ink and paper are pure poppy from Papertrey, Ink.

Snow embossing folder is from Taylored Expressions.

The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

Holiday Hugs

Hello! I'm pre-scheduling this to post while on vacation, so that you all have something to look at from me this week!

This stamp is from My Favorite Things and is colored with Copic markers.

I then ran it through the snow embossing folder from Taylored Expressions. Added a three smaller snowflakes around the edges (mostly to cover up a goof in the right hand lower corner) and attached it to a red card base.

Like how it turned out. Clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by! Know that I'm enjoying my time off with my feet up and a cold beverage in my hand. Usually, it's just bottled water but I might splurge and do something alcoholic this time around.

Take care!

Martini's

Hi all! Here is my take on the word theme week over at Less is More. It's congratulations and I also took the opportunity to pair this up with the food or drink challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

I started with the martini die from Taylored Expressions. I cut two of everything out, except for the teeny tiny olives. Glad they stuck to my C plate so I didn't lose them.

I used a C00 marker to add the dirty martini to the glasses, glued in the Olives and pick then covered it in Glossy Accents. Waiting for them to dry was worst of this card making process.

I expirimented with different colors of back ground papers and ended up using black because the glasses stood out better. I layered it with Olive to give it a punch of color.

Congratulations sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Snowflake trio

Hello! Here is a card that follows this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

Sentiment and cardstock are from PTI. I stamped the sentiment in navy fresh ink onto a piece of linen cardstock, then ran it through the snowflake embossing folder from Taylored Expressions.

I used the large and medium dies from MFT to cut out the blue snowflakes. Added some white home made pearls onto the centers (they really go well with the embossed dots) and called it good.

If I had to do this over I think I would stamp the sentiment in black. I'm not to fond of the navy.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! Here is one of the cards I made for today!

Stamps are from the former Angel Company.

I stamped the bunny in hybrid black ink from MFT and then colored with Copic markers. Took some cotton off the end of a Q-Tip and made his tail.

Yellow houndstooth is a stamp from MFT that I used with my MISTI (love that tool) and light yellow ink from Studio G.

The burlap embossing folder from Taylored Expressions is used on the fishtail banner.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.

Entering this into the Friday Mashup.

Floral birthday

Hi everyone! Had some time in between chores and the Oscars yesterday to make this card based on the sketch from The Paper Players.

Flower die is from Simon Says Stamp. I cut it out of white cardstock about four times and layer one on top of another. Then got out the Copic's to color it.

Stitched dies are from Lil' Inkers, Designs. The burlap embossing folder is used on the circle cut out and it's from Taylored Espressions.

Stitched banner is from My Favorite Things as is the sentiment.

I used the Bow easy to tie that tiny bow that I attached onto the stem of the flower.

That's it for today! Thanks for popping in.
