Congratulations

Hi everyone! I got a chance to play with this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I've been in Alaska this past week freezing my caboose off and didn't think I'd have the energy today to make it happen! Glad I did! Here's the sketch.

The purple vellum is cut out with the butterfly die from Prickley Pear and I used their stamp set to stamp the antenna using archival jet black ink from Ranger. I used a tiny piece of foam tape in the butterflies center to attached it to the white circle. To hide it, I added some purple rhinestones. The sentiment is from CTMH.

The cardstock is winter wisteria from PTI and the designer paper is from Paper Wishes. I've had that striped ribbon in my stash forever and finally got to use some with this card!

Carrot anyone?

Hello! Here's the last Easter card that I made! This little bunny sure loves his carrot!

Stamp is from Inky Antics and colored with Copic markers.  I used the long rectangle die from Spellbinders to cut this little guy out as the image is pretty big. The pennants on the side are cut from dies from Papertrey.

White and black cardstock from PTI, grey from DCWV and the Pink is from HOTP.

Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks a bunch

Hello! I hope this finds everyone doing well and being creative! Today's card is a CAS one with a bit of texture!

Stamps are from Penny Black! I stamped the tulips in Versafine ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder onto vintage creme cardstock. I've gotten so I hate to use memento ink anymore - it just doesn't give the coverage I'm looking for, even after I've re-inked the darn pad! Embossing the Versafine allows me to still color using Copic's.

I used the lattice embossing folder from SU to give this card some texture. The die I used to cut out the tulips is from Papertrey, Ink. I used pink cardstock from HOTP and the green is from Bazzill. the tiny gold pearls came from Michaels reflection line.

Spring?

Hi everyone! Today's card was made in celebration that spring is right around the corner. The tree's are starting to bud, as is the lilac and hydrangeas. Woo Hoo!

Branch stamp is from Memory box and colored with dark brown and olive green Marvy Le Plume markers. I just love this stamp! Sentiment is from Verve and the little dragonfly is from Penny Black.

Dark green cardstock is from Bazzill and I added some green gingham ribbon at the bottom to finish this CAS card off.

I hope that where ever you are that you can see signs of spring too! Thanks for stopping by!

Waiting....

Hi everyone! Happy Spring! However, our spring-like weather sure is being a bit wacky lately. Yes, we are known for our "rain" in Washington State, but we've really been getting it lately. At least it's better than snow!!

So, with that in mind.....I'll wait for the sunshine!

Rain stamp and sentiment are from My Favorite Things, as is the umbrella die used to cut out the scrap designer paper. I outlined the umbrella using navy ink with a dauber to give it a bit of definition. Gray ink used to stamp the rain and the gold peals are from Kaisercraft.

Thanks for stopping by...I'm going to step outside to soak up that one lone ray of sunshine!

Birthday cupcake

Good Morning! I'm stocking up on my stash of birthday cards.

Cupcake stamp is from Verve and colored with Copics. I stamped the sprinkles in white and then went over them with a sharpie white paint pen so that they stood out a bit more. Sentiment is from PTI.

I used a varity of dies on this card. Scalloped border is from Lifestyle crafts, the dies I used for the sentiment are from Verve, as is the one used for the cupcake. The brown layer die is from PTI.

Brown polka dot paper is from PTI and the pink is from Tim Holtz collection. Seam binding used for the bow, which is tied with the bow easy.
