Peony birthday card

Good morning! Happy Memorial Day. As I sat here typing up the title to this post, I decided not to address the two challenges in the title as it looked a bit funny.  Might as well just keep it simple!

The peony stamp is from Papertrey, Ink. I stamped it in pink lemonade from Fresh Ink and then followed with the outline of black. I of course had to stamp this a couple of times to get it to line up. Sentiment is also from PTI.

Black pearls are from Queen & Co. The embossing folder I used on the pink carstock is new to me and is from Paper Wishes. The pink cardstock is also from HOTP or paper wishes.

I used rustic white cardstock from PTI for this card instead of the normal white. It's nice to see bits of flecks and fibers woven into the paper.

Congratulations

Hi everyone! I got a chance to play with this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I've been in Alaska this past week freezing my caboose off and didn't think I'd have the energy today to make it happen! Glad I did! Here's the sketch.

The purple vellum is cut out with the butterfly die from Prickley Pear and I used their stamp set to stamp the antenna using archival jet black ink from Ranger. I used a tiny piece of foam tape in the butterflies center to attached it to the white circle. To hide it, I added some purple rhinestones. The sentiment is from CTMH.

The cardstock is winter wisteria from PTI and the designer paper is from Paper Wishes. I've had that striped ribbon in my stash forever and finally got to use some with this card!

Card Sketch #26

Well, I tried out my new Papertrey Ink stamps on this card sketch. The name of the set is called Take a bough, and are very fun to work with. Lots of possibilities!



Red bling paper is from Hot off the Press (by paper wishes) as well as the green holiday designer paper and the big brad and rub on's. I used the white big brad as a Christmas ornament ball and then I rubbed the sentiment right on the brad. I distressed the edges of the main panel with Palette ink in burnt umber.

Inks used were Palette burnt umber and colorbox warm green chalk ink and silver pigment ink.
