CTS#136 - Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Case This Sketch. I kept things pretty clean and simple.

Border stamps are from Waffle Flower. I used Colorbox inks from My Favorite Things in navy and wild cherry. I also used the R29 Copic marker in the middle to give this a bit more depth.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink as is the white and red cardstock.

Will most likely add this one to my masculine birthday card stash.

FMS199 - Giving thanks

Hi all! Here is what I did with this weeks freshly made sketch.

I'm so wishing fall would hurry up and appear. I'm about done with all the heat and humidity we've been having lately. So, I decided to get out my leaf stamps from Technique Tuesday and create something to go with the sketch.

I used a combination of inks on this one. Versamagic, colorbox and hero arts. I decided to be a bit different and fussy cut two of the leaves out and popped them up with foam tape.

Burlap from DCWV used along the bottom.

I used a Copic marker to color the white satin ribbon, let it dry and then ran it through my crimper. I like the bit of texture it adds. Stamped the sentiment using Archival jet black ink so that would stand out.

Worm birthday wishes

Hey everyone! Finally got some time to create a one layer card for Less is More challenge. The theme this time around is "the eyes have it."


There is a lot of white space on this one!

Stamps are from Paper Smooches and colored with Copic's. Used some glossy accents on the eyes so they would stand out a bit more.

CAS thank you

Hi everyone. I was inspired by this weeks Sunday Stamps color challenge and ended up with this.

The stamps are from STAMPlorations dee's artsy impressions.

I stamped them in a mixture of the new ombre pink ink pad from Hero Arts. Added white dots for the centers using a sharpie paint pen. Do you see the faint yellow butterfly in the mix?

Green bakes twine used to "tie it off" which is a component of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge that I'm just getting around to. After taping the twine onto the back,  I used the bow easy to do a double bow and then used foam tape to pop the main panel off of the white card base.

Also adding this into the CAS-ual Friday pretty patterns challenge.

Agapanthus

Hi everyone! I signed up for the greenhouse society over at Technique Tuesday. For less than $10.00 (+S&H) I get a floral stamp every month. Here is the latest stamp.

I had to google the Agapanthus to see what color to use on it and then got out the Copic's.  This mini set comes with three sentiments, one of which is used here. 

My favorite things die was used to cut it out and the layer in the back ground. I dusted off my mid-sized  scalloped border and used that behind the green panel in the back. Added some pearls and called it done.

Technique Tuesday's web site is under going some maintenance right now, otherwise I would've linked it up for you to see how wonderful their greenhouse stamps are.

LIM - Berry shades

Hello all! I've been stewing on what to do with the color challenge over at Less Is More, which is berry shades and finally came up with something. Of course that meant that I had to buy a new ink pad to do it! ;-)

Yep, caved and bought two of the new Hero Arts Ombre ink pads. One green and the other pink/red. I used just the mid pink and light pink on the solid flower and did the leaves in the green.

Stamp is from Impress Rubber Stamps and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things. Added a bit of pink gingham ribbon, tied a tiny bow with the bow easy and stuck it on with a glue dot.

I added the border to a white 4 x 5.25 sheet of cardstock then popped it up on a normal A2 card base. Simple and quick card.

Happy summer

Hello! Here is my take on two challenges today. I started off with the Sweet Sunday Sketch but shortened it up to work with the square card challenge over at The Paper Players.

Card is 4 x 4 square. Stamps are from Lawn Fawn and I also bought the die set that went with it.

Watermelon is colored with Copic Markers and then popped up on the gingham "table cloth" strip. That stamp is from Kaisercraft and inked up with wild cherry colorbox ink from MFT.  

The little ants are cut out and then I used some clear glue squares to pop them up. I did have to use some scissors to cut down the little squares to work behind the tiny ants, but it sure turned out cute!
