Colorful smooched birthday card

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the ever popular Anything Goes!

I was playing around with Distress Oxide Inks and water color paper and came up with this background that I turned into a card.  I stepped out of my comfort zone and did a little distress and layering with this one.

I used the following stamps:
5125-C, Dragonfly Sil. (sm
9713-E, Bubbles
6806-U, Sheet Music
Birthday sentiment

Scrappers floss in black used tie it all together along with some Black irResistible embellisher to create the drops. I also used Tim Holtz pen spritzer to add some ink splatters.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Color challenge

Hi everyone. It's time for a color challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. Here is the palette.

Stamp is item #10202 over at Repeat Impressions. Dragonfly is 5125-C.

I stamped the flower circle in Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder so that I could color with Copic's.  Added black irRESISTible to the centers of the flowers.

Dragonfly is stamped in a light turquoise ink and then gone over with a clear spectrum glitter pen. In real life it's pretty sparkly.

The card base is black and I turned this into a square card, just to change things up a bit.  Red and turquoise layers are done with my mini perfect layer tool and the main panel is cut with a stitched square die.

That's all for today. Don't forget to drop on by the rest of the DT's blogs to see what thy did with the challenge.

Happy Birthday

Hello again.  Sunday Stamps has a sketch challenge this week and here is what I did with it.

It's a little bright with the green textured panel. I tried different colors of pink cardstock, but the tag just belended right in.

Happy Birthday sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink, as is the white linen cardstock.

Flower stamps are from Stamplorations Dee's Artsy Impressions. I used pigment ink from Fresh Ink and then added a white center to each using irRESISTible dimensional paint.

Lattice embossing folder used on the bright green cardstock.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Hello in Pink Ombre

Hey everyone! Happy Friday. Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

Designer paper is from Lil' Inkers Designs and layered with black cardstock.

Flower stamp is from Simon Says Stamps. I stamped it in Versamark, heat embossed with clear embossing powder then colored with Copic's. I tripled it up and poppedit up on the card. The leaves are done up using twisted citron distress ink.

IrResistible black used to create the trio of dots. Lastly, the hello die is from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping in and have a great weekend.

Repeat Impressions Photo Inspiration

Hi everyone! Here is the photo inspiration to work from over at The House that stamps built for Repeat Impressions. Link here.

I really was challenged big time with this one. I just couldn't get my green's to work right. The darker colors I used were all too dark.  So, I ended up going with a lighter green and came up with the following two cards.
This one is water colored after stamping in Versamark and heat embossing with white embossing powder. Added a few dew drops for interest. I'm liking the soft muted look of this. Zig Kuretake real brush markers used to water color.

This one is brighter still..... Same stamps except this is colored in Copic's.

Added white Nuvo Cyrtal Drops for the centers of the flowers, the black dots are done with a irRESISTible pen. The curve is done using a border die for added interest and then I decided to stamp a bit on the inside of the card.

Don't forget to go by the The House that Stamps Built to check out what the other Rock Stars did with this challenge. Also, we'd love for you to play along. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!
