Anniversary pines

Hi everyone! It's a color challenge over at Less is More and they want green and gold.

This worked out well for me as it is my anniversary on the 6th and we're heading to the mountains on our annual RV vacation.

My DH is a wannabe Mountain Man and loves it up in the woods, so he should get a kick out of this card.

The main border and large tree is a die from Memory Box, the smaller trees are from various other companies that I've collected over the years.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink and stamped in versamark, then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Binoculars

Hi all! Just saw the challenge posted at the Friday Mashup and had to play along. I went with the hunting theme.

I've had this stamp from AI for a number of years and I think I've only used it twice. It also comes with a back stamp that shows a gun and his fabulous backside. (giggling)

I just crack up every time I see him because he reminds me of so many men I know.

Colored with Copic's and also added some glossy accents to the binoculars. Ran a piece of kraft cardstock through the wood grain embossing folder from Sizzix and then highlight it with some kraft dye ink from PTI.

I sorta combined the two colors of wild wasabi and Marine into the teal of his plaid shirt. But got the espresso in, no problem.

FMS - thanks a bunch

Hello! Here is my take on this weeks freshly made sketch.

Flower stamps are from Wplus9 and stamped using pink lemonade fresh ink and gum drop green from colorbox. Used black for the centers so they would stand out more.

Sentiment stamp is from Clearly Besotted. After cutting a small fishtail banner, I stamped the sentiment then stuck it behind the pink button.

Natural bakers twine used to make the triple bow and that is the tessatina die from memory Box across the top.

Added a single flower to the inside of the card to finish it off.

Nasturtiums

Hi everyone! I really liked the sketch over at JUGS wild card week and came up with this.

The flower stamp are from Simon Says Stamps set called Thinking of you, which I've linked here. It's a very versatile set and one that I go to time and again.

I made one of the flowers in the set into a Nasturtium using the orange/yellow Ombre ink pad from Hero Arts.

Designer paper is from Fancy Pants. I used the Blue Prints 14 from MFT to cut the main image out and the dots along the tangerine border strip. I don't normally use a lot of DP but decided my stash needs to be dwindled down.

Hello baby

Hi everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. 

I've had this pink safety pin die cut and sitting in my "to be made into something" pile for a while now. The die is from My Mind's Eye Niche collection. It appears that I cut it out of plain white cardstock and then colored it with a Copic marker. It's been so long that I can't remember.

The pink gingham has been sitting in my paper scraps file for a while too. I think it is also from MME. I cut it out using the rectangle dies from Spellbinders, then layered it in black so that it would stand out a bit.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. The long rectangle stitch die is from My Favorite Things and I used the PTI heart shaker die set to cut out a small heart and glued it in the middle of the die cut heart on the safety pin.

A pink glitter pen was used to color in the "baby" and give it a bit of bling. I really like how clean and simple this one turned out! I think the person who is going to be the recipient of this will really like it! Also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday anything goes challenge this week.

PP259 - Spiders

Hi everyone! Here is what I did with The Paper Players sketch #259. You can see the sketch below.

While at Michael's the other day, I ran across these cool stickers from Tim Holtz centering around Halloween. I don't usually buy stickers, but picked them up and thought they would be fun to work with. The web and spiders worked really well for this sketch.

The orange designer paper is from DCWV. I cut it out using the fishtail banner from My Favorite Things and then layered it with black cardstock.

The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and worked well with the smallest fishtail die.

Kept this as Clean and Simple as I could and still used some designer paper! I haven't been using a lot of that lately and my stash is over flowing!

Hi all! Found this sketch over at Sunday Stamps that worked well with something that I had just been playing around with and had colored up.

I was searching through all my stamps looking for a specific Halloween sentiment when I stumbled upon this leaf stamp. I've had it forever and I believe colorbox put it out years ago.

I stamped it onto rustic cream cardstock using my Misti and versafine ink. I did heat emboss it using clear embossing powder so that I could color it using Copic's.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. I used this burlap like ribbon that I got from Hobby Lobby across the bottom, the tied a bow using the Bow Easy and adhered it on using glue dots. 

Well, back to my chores. I've got some doggy hairs to hoover up. Thanks for stopping by!
