FMS131 - May you have enough

Hi everyone! Well, I'm back from my week adventure (all business) in Alaska and I'm glad to be home. That dry cold is brutal to my skin - I can't stop iching!

Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

It was kind of rough finding the mojo today and I'm still not real happy with how this turned out. But on to bigger and better things.

Stamps are from the CTMH set called Treasure Life. I used Memento markers to stamp the flowers. Green gingham paper is from A*Muse and the candy dots are from Studio Calico.

Green and yellow cardstock is from Bazzill.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm heading outside to enjoy the sunshine - glad to be able to enjoy the warmth!

Get well soon

Hi all! Ok, I'm playing around with this one and need some feedback. Here is a die cut from Memory Box that I got a little creative with.

I cut it out of white cardstock then added color to the stems and leaves by using a sponge dauber and green ink. To get the black around the flower I used my black Copic marker.

The petals are cut out of harvest gold cardstock from PTI. Card base is a mid green from Bazzill.

Sentiment is from Verve.

So, opinions please. Do you like it or not?

Nasturtiums

Hi everyone! I've had this stamp from Flourishes for a while now and really haven't used it all the much. I got this stamp because it reminded me of the my grandmother. She always had nasturtiums growing in her flower garden and they got huge! I wish I had her green thumb.

I stamped this is Versafine and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I find that this combination allows me to get the best detail out of some stamps that you wouldn't get using memento ink.

Colored with Copic's using G21, G24 and G28 on the leaves and Y35, Y38 and R17 on the flowers.

Orange and white cardstock from PTI and the green designer paper is from Memory Box. This card ended up being a 5 x 5 square due to the large stamp.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just a little something

Hello! I'm off to Alaska on business and have scheduled some posts while I'm gone. First up is this beauty from Stamping Bella. Uptown girl Paisley has a prezzie.

Isn't she adorable? I stamped her in Versafine and then used
clear embossing powder and heat set.

Coloring some of these skinny areas with Copic's was a challenge. I find that my Ciao markers do better in smaller areas that the sketch. I just wish that they came in as many colors as the sketch do. Anybody else feel that way?

I kept this clean and simple - it just seemed to call for it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Pastel Bunny

Hi everyone! Played around with this weeks Saturday Sketch #304 and this is what came from it.

After taking the picture and cropping it in PSE, I realized that the darn ribbon doesn't really match the blue I layered the bunny with! I did however use the same Copic marker that I colored the body of the bunny with though. Hence the title to this post.

Bunny is a digi from pickled potpourri and the vertical stamp is from Savvy stamps. I didn't have an Easter stamp that worked with this sketch so ended up using one of my old standbys.

Pink designer paper is from my scrap pile and I used some natural twine to make the bow that I adhered to that pink button.

Off to attend an awards ceremony. Have a fantastic weekend!

FMS130 - Yea!

Hi everyone! Here's my take on this week Freshly Made Sketch. I also combined it with Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge, which is Happy Birthday.

This is a digi stamp from Sassy Cheryl and colored with Copics.

Designer paper is from Authentique's Glory 6 x 6 paper pack. Gray blue cardstock is from American Crafts.

The star is chipboard that I covered with designer paper, distressed and stamped the sentiment on. The sentiment is from PTI.

Colored the white satin ribbon with B97 and used B99 to color the white tiny pearls. The middle one isn't as dark as the other two - dang it! Oh well.

Have a wonderful creative weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Hello there

Hi everyone! Well, it's April - glad to have March behind me and this month is looking to be a busy one as well!

Thought I'd share a spring like card to get us in the mood for fresh flowers and better weather! I'm about done with all the rain we've had lately!

Stamps are from Simon Says Stamps. I used the tag die from Papertrey, Ink and stamped the daisies up side down in white craft ink. I did also use white embossing powder to heat emboss them to make it stand out.

Since the tag has dot embossing all around it I added the same around the white panel. Fishtail banner from MFT and cut out of pine cardstock. Button is from American Crafts (I wish they still made these) and white twine is used to tie the bow.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!
